Mo & Adam's Perpetual Playlist

As our timeslot fell on Valentine's Day this year, we present to you a playlist about the heart, including songs about the actual human heart and its functions, as well as the high and lows of the emotional and romantic heart. Featuring a diverse group of songs from 1937-2018, we draw from Rock, Folk, Hip-Hop, Indie, Oldies, Country and Pop.

This week's playlist is about spies, featuring a truly diverse mix of tunes about espionage, secrets, intelligence, treason, memos and tapes. The mix includes Rock, Oldies, Rap, Pop, Punk, Hard Rock, Indie and Alternative.

This week, we are joined by special guest host and DJ, Theresa from Wauconda, who celebrates her 70th birthday with us live in the studio! In celebration of her milestone birthday, Theresa picks some of her favorite tracks from the 1940s through today. Mo and Adam pick some of their favorites as well, and we play them chronologically by decade, discussing some of the significant musical and cultural moments that coincided. Our mix includes: Rock 'n Roll, Soul, Alternative, Doo-Wop, R&B and Showtunes.

This week finds us already breaking our 2018 New Year's resolutions, as it is Ditch New Year's Resolution Day! After giving up on pledges and promises, our playlist is filled with self-indulgence, throwing caution to the wind and really going for it, basking in our vices and bad behavior. The song choices themselves aren't too bad, though, including Rock, Folk, Country, Indie, Rap, and Alternative Rock, and ranging from 1972-2017.

As 2018 begins, we're starting our playlist with The Comeback, featuring songs about triumphant returns, trying again, coming back for more and turning it around. This mix is particularly diverse, including Alternative Rock, Rap, Soul, Country Rock, Glam, Showtunes, Garage Rock, Punk, R&B and Indie. Songs range from 1966-2018.

This week's playlist pays tribute to many of the great musicians and entertainers who passed away in 2017. From rock legends Chuck Berry and Fats Domino, to contemporary favorites Tom Petty and Chris Cornell, hear an incredible mix of music made from artists we've recently lost, including one of Lake County's very own.

Special guest hosts and DJs Micah and Greg join Adam for an hilariously awful collection of novelty songs, awesomely bad tracks, bizarre numbers and songs so terrible you can't help but laugh. Three Turkeys are inducted into the Perpetual Playlist Turkey Hall of Fame, so that we may honor these terrible gems and never hear from them again!
