For her Month of Love film, Lauren chose to show Greg 2006’s Wristcutters: A Love Story. In this dark romantic comedy roadtrip of a film, our hosts try to understand this strange world of the afterlife including whether or not dead people need to eat or just like to, menial jobs you could literally do forever, and Greg suggests how to fix that darn black hole in your car. Greg decides to honor the late, great Debbie Reynolds with his February pick of Mother. Together Lauren and Greg attempt to analyze this Freudian film as well as discuss the history of cell phones, the sexuality of older people, and the lies of customer service employees. For Greg's Amendment episode, he sentenced Lauren to watch 12 Angry Men. Together our hosts analyze the aggressive behaviors of the jurors, compare the racial differences of the jury in the original to it's 1997 remake and Greg puts forth his own fan theory of the motivations for Henry Fonda's character. For Lauren’s November pick, she goes both historic and political with Iron Jawed Angels, as she educates Greg about the climatic last push for Women’s Suffrage in America.
