Outdated References

Holy Crap! It’s almost been a year since I posted a new episode. That’s all me… So here’s the quick update: I finally got married and that took most of my time and energy to help plan and setup. Because of the stress, I just didn't have the time and energy to record, edit and post episodes. So for a while, the site was on hiatus. But from the time we last posted a show, Star Trek Discovery Season 2 was on its way to fix that weak first season of STD. A little indie film called Star Wars Episode 9:The Last Skywalker was released and the first season of The Mandalorian concluded with a fantastic cliffhanger, oh and Star Trek: Picard in now on it’s third episode! So yeah, Russ, Adam and I have a lot of science fiction to discuss this week! Thank for still being subscribed to our humble channel.

This week is a three man show with Russ, Adam and myself, Nathan. We started catching up on new TV that drop this month and I was super excited to talk about Star Trek Discovery, but sadly I was the only one who saw it. We move on to more recommendations from Russ and me and eventually we do some last minute gaming discussion. Also Adam and Russ is pushing hard the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse so I'll need to get on that... Anyway, enjoy this week's show and  take care!!! --Nathan

Sorry for the long delays. Holidays are always hard for me because I am pulled in a multiple directions with family and friends obligation. Always... So here is our Thor Ragnarok Spoiler-cast, but before Russ and I get into our opinions about Marvel's recent Thor film, Adam, Jeremy, Russ and I do are usual on the fly chat about games we've been playing, shows we've been watching and projects I've been messing with like trying to get my Sega Saturn to go back online. --Nathan  

This week, Russ and I chat about some Neo-geo love, getting my MVS boards back to tip top shape, Nathan's new old headphones, loving the Apple IIe, Russ builds up a reason for me to watch Thor Ragnarok  & I'm trying to convince Russ that Star Trek Discovery is worth watching and Strangers Things 2 spoiler talk! --Nathan  

This week is a two man show with Russell and me chatting about old Vegas, more sci-fi chatter, and my adventure with Gose at a local beer festival. I'm still loving Persona 5 and playing my import PS4 birthday gift! Also, I explain why I no longer collect toys.  --Nathan

This week Russ and I chat about the wondrous word of sci-fi and we get an update on my coworker's first watch through of the original Star Wars trilogy, which leads to us to critique Orville, Star Wars and Star Trek. Because that's what nerds do best. We also get an update on my adventures or eprom swapping with translated patches. I also really geek out about my Transformers iOS game. This is a two man show with Russel and yours truly. We chat about the new Super Nintendo Mini and the the Capcom release of Street Fighter 2 blowing up your real consoles. I'm also exited about trying to swap out the language prom with a new English translation Proms for my Famicom and Sega Master System. Also, Anime and "Rick & Morty" chat which lead to Star Trek Discover question: is it worth getting?  --Nathan

  This week Adam, Russ and I chat about Demolition Man, Orville and, of course, more Star Wars talk. Hell, we even get into G.I. Joe and Transformers. It's another 80s/90s nostalgia-thon.  Oh and videogames.   --Nathan

Full cast this week with Adam, Russ and Jeremy. We celebrate Adam's new job as he explains his side job installing pool tables, jukeboxes and arcade cabs. We then move on to critique Doom 3 of all things and Russ fills us in about his stuffy adventure of Reno's Ribfest. Jeremy love open world games and we don't agree with him and then Jeremy throws a tantrum. So what do you prefer? Old School Metal Gear Solid or the new direction of MGS? This was an episode with a lot of passion, we even argues about Super Mario Bros 3!? Eventually we drifted to TV Talk and had a discussion of Thudercats vs He-Man. Oh and non-transforming Transformers are just fucking called robots and they are boring.  Of course we wrap up the show with some good old fashioned Game of Thrones Season 7 spoiler talk.   --Nathan

So I'm back in the States again and I gave Russ the big recap with my adventures in the U.K. where we discussed about my game shopping in London, getting bored of British Chips ,and a good ole fashioned Pub Crawl.  Then we talked about awesome airplane movie reviews! I also dabble in the seedy world of emulation! Yeah, this show is kind of all over the place, per the norm. Check out the episode and let me know what you think?  --Nathan

Abhi joined us because I needed his wifi as my hotel lacked a proper connection. (Joys of staying at a 16th Century Hotel in Hook, Hampshire.) I recorded this early last month when I just landed to the UK. I was tired and we just B.S.'ed about the usual differences between the US and UK. Seriously, I know Americans pronounces Adidas incorrectly, but hearing the "correctly" made my brain fizzle for a bit.  Sadly, this was the only show I was able to record when I was in the UK. Next time, I need to buy some mobile gear for podcasting on the road. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy this show.  Cheers, Nathan

This week we briefly chat about guns, and politics (sorry) then to our usual talk about video games! Esteban gave us the EVO 2017 update and I chat about learning and ranting about Street Fighter V. The big news is that my work is sending me to the U.K. for business and I’m excited for a change of scenery, of course, I’m petrified about driving on the left. Anyways, I also talk about my first time at Universal Studios. Ah, I felt like I did most of the talking this episode.  --Nathan

Welcome to this week’s Plant-Talk! Just kidding, but Adam is experimenting with this green thumb and trying to grow some mangos. We eventually move onto some “Orange is the New Black” Spoilers talk before shifting gears to some DC TV talk then everyone is pushing “Legion” really hard. Christ, they’re just too many interesting TV shows for me to keep up. -Nathan  

This week Esteban fills in Russ and Nathan with his perspective of E3, Russ talks about World of Warcraft and Nathan goes on and on about retro games. It starts getting more impassioned when the conversation moves in the direction of television and Nathan hatred of a certain Japanese film director. You know, the usual for the OutdateRef cast.  

  This week, Russ, Adam and I briefly talk about the passing of Adam West before going into our memories of murdered Optimus Prime, and why Street Fighter V still doesn’t have an Arcade Mode. I talk about dabbling with 8-bit computers and old school racism in general. You will learn the one racist slur that actually irritates Adam. Yeah, this episode is a totally not safe for work. I also had my 20-ish High School Reunion from the Las Vegas Academy, restoring my Commodore 128, and rediscovering how slow and weak our old computers really were. Eventually we discuss the current state of sports coming to Las Vegas. We bounced around all topics this week.

After dumping almost 6 months or backlogs, I present to you this week’s episode where we talk about Estaban’s Japan trip covering the earlier in May where we talk about fighting games (obviously) mayo pizzas, neon lights, and he’s newest video Now for us normies, we talk about Persona 5, Mass Effect Andromeda, and the sci-fi troupe of universal translator working with no hitch in a new galaxy… Yeah right. Also buy Wild Guns for the PS4 and check out Players Unknown Battlegrounds on Steam.

We recorded this episode on back on Inauguration Day and us trying to cope with our new reality. After we got over our petty fit, we talked about everything under the sun and into a Star Wars Rebels and Rouge One spoiler-cast.  --Nathan
