Bat The Movies

All is going according to plan: It's another episode of Bat the Movies! This time, Kevin and Thaddeus take on one of the earliest DC Universe Animated Original films. Luthor's the President. Superman and Batman are on the lam. There's a giant kryptonite meteor headed for Earth. Just another Sunday. How does it hold up after nearly a decade? Listen and find out! facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batthemovies/ twitter: https://twitter.com/batthemovies email: batthemoviespodcast@gmail.com website: https://batthemovies.wordpress.com

We're back! We're now releasing every other Sunday so get ready to get ready. This fortnight we're discussing Assault on Arkham, aka: the good Suicide Squad movie. But is it good enough to warrant a Bat-thumbs up or two? Listen and find out! facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batthemovies/ twitter: https://twitter.com/batthemovies email: batthemoviespodcast@gmail.com website: https://batthemovies.wordpress.com

Dedicated to the memory of Adam West.

Our final live-action Batman! Our final theatrical Batman! (At least until they make a new one.) How does Batman Forever hold up? Is it as good as Returns? Is it as bad as & Robin? Listen and find out! facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batthemovies/ twitter: https://twitter.com/batthemovies email: batthemoviespodcast@gmail.com website: https://batthemovies.wordpress.com

We're finally revisiting Tim Burton's vision of Batman in his 1992 film Batman Returns! How does it hold up 25 years later? Can it hold a candle to the original? Or is it left out in the cold? Listen and find out! facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batthemovies/ twitter: https://twitter.com/batthemovies email: batthemoviespodcast@gmail.com website: https://batthemovies.wordpress.com

CONTENT WARNING: This episode contains discussion of sexual assault and rape (bc the movie in question depicts these things). This movie is kind of a joke, and it's not "ha-ha" funny. This episode is pretty fun, though (apart from the content I warned you about earlier)! Give it a listen. facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batthemovies/ twitter: https://twitter.com/batthemovies email: batthemoviespodcast@gmail.com website: https://batthemovies.wordpress.com

Let's put a smile on that face! This week we discuss The Dark Knight. Perhaps you've heard of it. This episode was long-awaited for us! If it was for you as well, then go ahead and give it a listen. Fair warning: we talk about the Joker a lot. But honestly that's to be expected. We talk about Alfred surprisingly little. facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batthemovies/ twitter: https://twitter.com/batthemovies email: batthemoviespodcast@gmail.com website: https://batthemovies.wordpress.com

Surprise, motherbutler! It's a bonus episode of Bat the Movies! We read a few emails from our #1 fan Greg Arnold (@fearthenoodle). In the future we hope to incorporate this into episodes as a segment, but for now enjoy the bonus! facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batthemovies/ twitter: https://twitter.com/batthemovies email: batthemoviespodcast@gmail.com website: https://batthemovies.wordpress.com

Apologies for this episode being late, and for the sounds of one of Kevin's housemates cooking dinner in the background! This was the only time we could record this week. Last week the Dark Knight rose and this week he... returns? What could this mean? Is this movie a must-watch, or should you just read the comic? Listen, and decide for yourself! Tune in this weekend for a brief bonus mailbag episode! facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batthemovies/ twitter: https://twitter.com/batthemovies email: batthemoviespodcast@gmail.com website: https://batthemovies.wordpress.com

Apologies, chums, for the slight tardiness of this episode! At least all our microphones are working this time. This week, Kevin and Thaddeus discuss the third entry in the Dark Knight trilogy: The Dark Knight Rises! Does it demand to be watched, or can you sort of skip it? Listen and find out! facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batthemovies/ twitter: https://twitter.com/batthemovies email: batthemoviespodcast@gmail.com website: https://batthemovies.wordpress.com

Apologies, chums! Technical difficulties abound in this episode. Some technical glitch rendered the audio from Thaddeus's mic unusable. You can still sort of hear him on Kevin's mic, though, and we had had a really good conversation, so we decided against scrapping the episode entirely. We kept the editing light this time around and left out the usual sound effects just to make it a little bit smoother of a listening experience. We'd characterize it as "semi-listenable." We hope you enjoy it despite the issues. facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batthemovies/ twitter: https://twitter.com/batthemovies email: batthemoviespodcast@gmail.com website: https://batthemovies.wordpress.com

Your angel of death awaits... but in the meantime, why not listen to the latest episode of Bat the Movies? This week, Kevin and Thaddeus discuss the first animated Batman movie: Mask of the Phantasm! This episode was a lot of fun to make-- if it's even half as fun to listen to, it's a guaranteed good time. Listen away, my friends. facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batthemovies/ twitter: https://twitter.com/batthemovies email: batthemoviespodcast@gmail.com website: https://batthemovies.wordpress.com

Our first recording after our unintentional hiatus... to be totally honest, we were a bit rusty. Hopefully that doesn't come through in the edit. This is the movie of the show Batman Beyond. Spoiler warning: The Joker makes a return. Listen and enjoy. facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batthemovies/ twitter: https://twitter.com/batthemovies email: batthemoviespodcast@gmail.com website: https://batthemovies.wordpress.com

We're back! After a one-week-turned-two-week hiatus, Bat the Movies returns! This episode, Kevin and Thaddeus discuss the direct-to-video Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero. It's a pretty chill time. Listen with headphones, lest your ears freeze off! (Then again, maybe don't use headphones-- Kevin had some slight sniffles this episode bc he was on vacation and separated from his fluticasone. Or maybe it was sniffles due to the sub-zero temperatures! Apologies either way.) facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batthemovies/ twitter: https://twitter.com/batthemovies email: batthemoviespodcast@gmail.com website: https://batthemovies.wordpress.com

BAM! POW! This week, Kevin and Thaddeus discuss the classic Batman: The Movie! Does it even have flaws? Listen, and find out! NOTICE: Next week will be an off week for BtM, the first in its history. School comes first. Until then, maybe re-listen to some old faves! Perhaps compose an email or tweet. See you two weeks from now. facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batthemovies/ twitter: https://twitter.com/batthemovies email: batthemoviespodcast@gmail.com website: https://batthemovies.wordpress.com

This might just prove to be our most controversial episode yet (granted, any amount of controversy or even discussion would technically qualify as the "most controversial episode" of ours)... Hear Thaddeus rage against the infamous film! Marvel as Kevin tries, for some reason, to defend it (although not very passionately)! Is the movie worth watching, or should it be consigned to the scrap heap of history? Listen and find out for yourself! facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batthemovies/ twitter: https://twitter.com/batthemovies email: batthemoviespodcast@gmail.com website: https://batthemovies.wordpress.com

Apologies, chums, for the lateness of this episode. Life happens sometimes. Also, apologies for Kevin having some slight sniffles during this episode; he was just getting over a cold. Thank you for being so understanding. This episode, Kevin and Thaddeus venture into truly unknown territory: Batman Unlimited! What will this toy-based motion picture have in store? Only one way to find out. Unless you wanna just watch the movie yourself. But hey, podcasts are free, so... you do the math. Also this podcast is way way shorter than the already-short movie, so... yeah. facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batthemovies/ twitter: https://twitter.com/batthemovies email: batthemoviespodcast@gmail.com website: https://batthemovies.wordpress.com

How is The Lego Batman Movie? Is everything about it awesome? Can a character like Batman (as he's portrayed in The Lego Movie) really support a whole motion picture? Can Kevin and Thaddeus adequately discuss a movie they've only just seen the one time, unaided by notes? How many great comedians are in this movie? Where are my pants? Find out the answer to at least some of these questions in the latest installment of Bat the Movies! facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batthemovies/ twitter: https://twitter.com/batthemovies email: batthemoviespodcast@gmail.com website: https://batthemovies.wordpress.com

With heroes like these, who needs enemies? Kevin and Thaddeus take on Zack Snyder's epic farce and attempt to at least make some sense of the thing. At least this is the only Snyderverse movie that meets the criteria of being a Batman movie... so far. facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batthemovies/ twitter: https://twitter.com/batthemovies email: batthemoviespodcast@gmail.com website: https://batthemovies.wordpress.com

It's not the Lego Batman movie you're thinking of. Not yet. This is a movie based on the sequel to a video game based on a toy based on a comic book. Is it any good? Or are you better off playing the game instead? How many times will Kevin and Thaddeus accidentally refer to this movie as a game? Speaking of games, will BtM start streaming on Twitch? And what dreaded thing does fate have in store for them next week? Only one way to find out! It's listening. Listening is the way you find out. facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batthemovies/ twitter: https://twitter.com/batthemovies email: batthemoviespodcast@gmail.com website: https://batthemovies.wordpress.com
