This is it Speed Demons. The Finale of the Flash. After nine years of running, Barry Allen is taking a break, and we once again have to say goodbye to another superhero show, and it's never an easy thing to do. So sit back, enjoy our finale coverage, and hang on until the very end, as we give Flash the epic goodbye that it deserves. Final Episode Breakdown: The Waverider tapped into the Speed Force to try and keep up as we follow Flash, Iris, and the team as they face off against Cobalt Blue and a legion of speedster villians. We have Team Flash with 2049 Nora battle Cobalt Blue, Reverse Flash, Zoom, Godspeed and Savitar. All but Cobalt Blue are defeated and he drains them of Negative Speed Force energy to defete Barry. Khione tells him the answer is not about balance but co-existance. Barry helps Eddie reject the crystal's influence and they form an uneasy truce. John Henry is unhinged after being attacked yet again by Bruno's goons, and may have issues with General Lane and Superman. The kids are finding ways to support each other and stick together. The Waverider is going back and forth between the future and the present of Central City. In the future Dr. Malcolm Gilmore is digging into Eddie Thawne's past. That leads him to the CCPD where Officer Daisy Korber has risen in the ranks to Captain. He is having flashes of Eddie's death. The voice of Cobalt Blue urges him to find her. He seeks out Iris and that leads to more memories. He finally figures it all out. Somehow he is a resurected Eddie Thawne. Menwhile in the present, Iris and Team Flash are searching for Barry. They find radioactive Cobalt as a signature. Mark returns to help, but he has been possessed by the Negative Speed Force crystal. He is dividing the team and trying to kill Iris and baby Nora. The Speed Force saves her and helps Khione realize she is a goddess. She is the key to helping find Barry and the team. She turns Mark to dirt, removes the crystal and restores him. Barry makes it back to the present and debriefs with Iris during her labor. But he disappears before the baby arrives.

The Waverider is back in Smallville, but we also make a quick stop in  Metropolis too! While Lois struggles through her chemo treatments, getting more tired and weak, she still manages to put on a brave face. Natalie heads to Hob's Bay to meet Matteo's parents at Bruno's restaurant. The dinner ends with an explosive result and the reveals come crashing down this episode, ending with Peia fighting for her life in a DOD medical facility. Meanwhile, Clark, Chrissy, and Sam try to bring Lois out of her chemo fog by continuing to research Bruno and Peia's past. In the end, Lois and Clark discover they wrongfully imprisoned Lex Luthor for crimes Peia committed as her alter ego.  It's a eye opening story all around for everyone as truths are revealed, and secrets uncovered. The Waverrider is in Central City but we get to fire up the time circuts today and head back to the year 2000! A blue force has sent Barry back in time. Not only does he face Reverse Flash, Eobard Thawne, but also faces a new villian set on destroying him. Is this Cobalt Blue or something new? We also thought we were watching Eddie Thawne but his name is Dr. Gilmore. This looks to be a great close to the series. The Waverider is docked at STAR Labs. This week Bloodwork returns to try and take over the multiverse through infecting people with his blood. But he needs Kid Flash to do it. Diggle a.k.a. Spartan is in town for Barry's 2nd 30th birthday party. But after Blookwork poisons everyone at the party, and then takes over Wally, Barry suddenly is on his own. Before he could talk Wally out of his trance, he gets a vibrating hand through the chest! The long awaited return of Oliver Queen appears to Barry on Lian Yu, which is once again acting as the great void of purgatory. Using his powers as Spectre, he brings Barry back to life and then suits up as Arrow for one last battle together with Diggle and Wally. The four of them take down Bloodwork and save the new multiverse. It was an emotional tug at the heart with outstanding music and tear filled reunions. The Waverider is back in Smallville, and we were in the air searching for the missing Sophie. It seems she was feeling neglected by her family. It took a good speech from Jonathan to help her. Jordan has been training at the Fortress, but it is not good enough for Clark to let him come out in the field. But the blasts of Onomatopoeia and 3 soldiers with Kryptonite guns are too much for Superman. Jordan comes to the rescue. Lois is having great conversations with Peia about her cancer journey and about Clark. But all is not what it seems. The Waverider was on the way back from Smallville to Central City, but we got sucked into this weird dreamscape.  Dreamer, Nia Nal played by Nicole Maines, has been working on her skills and is seeking the source of dream power. A hooded woman confronts her, Iris shows up and talks about control before being killed and Nia's powers are zapped.  In the real world she heads to Central City to talk with Iris. She and Iris are zapped to the dream realm.  The hooded figure is the sources of the dream powers and is helping Nia confront her fears and Iris is along for the ride.  She is facinge the article that will help her win her first Pulitzer, but she feels out of control. She feels shackled to her job. So the dreams are her way of exploring other carrers. Nia & Iris help each other confront their fears. The Waverider is back in Smallville this week to continue the investigation into Bruno Manheim and his potential connection with Intergang. Lois and Chrissy are hot on the trail, and Lois is not ready to turn over her case files just yet. After missing two chemo treatments over the course of this episode, the third time is finally the charm. Her friends and family are there to support her on this life-changing journey. The Waverider takes a trip to Metropolis this week to investigate a familiar foe. Bruno Manheim once again brings the Kents to metropolis while Lana and John Henry discover the late George Dean's connections to Intergang. Meanwhile, the kids decide to be teenagers and head to Metropolis in secret (well, almost) to crash a party and meet some new friends. The Waverider is flying us back to STAR Labs from Smallville.  Barry & Iris are sticking to cars and no superspeed during the pregnancy. They are off on a babymoon adventure. Cecile is trying to balance her work, superheroing, and family but it is not going well. She is sleeping at her office and work is causing her to miss important events. Allegra is there to help her get perspective.  Chuck is helping Mark to test Khione for powers. But they find none. Mark is living with regret for never telling Frost he lover her. After spending a month in Central City, the Legends catch a scoop and head off to Smallville only to find out that some nerdy guy in glasses has taken our job at the Smallville Gazette! 27 days have passed since the world almost ended and there's a lot to catch up with as we get used to the new Jonathan, including a 16th birthday party, several rocky relationships and potential love triangles, a pregnancy scare, a corrupt former mayor, and oh yea, superhero stuff! The Waverider is docked at STAR Labs in Central City. Red Death has speed hacked a satellite, and with the amplification of Gorilla Grodd's power, is creating her own global enforcers with the intent on wiping out crime. She sets a trap for Flash and his Rogues with Mark held as bait. Flash hasn't gained his speed back yet, and so feeling outgunned,  the Rogues abandon him. But after a talk with Joe, he goes to confront Grodd to gain his help by using the Speed Force spark to re-energize his own speed. Barry, the Rogues, and a sudden drop in by the real Batwoman, they manage to take down Red Death. Joe is taking Jenna to the country to raise her. Cecile will get to be a hero during the week and have dedicated family time on the weekends. Chuck and Allegra are moving forward with their relationship. The Waverider is docked at STAR Labs in Central City. Thank goodness Gideon and the Waverider are shielded from EMP's!  Red Death reveals that she is from a different timeline. She was adopted by the Wayne family and became Batwoman. Much like the Red Death in the comics, she got tired of criminals and wanted to prevent crime. Through studying other heros tech and meta powers, she was able to creat her own armor and Speed Force. Her timeline's Flash & Rogues didn't approve and fought back, starting a war that she couldn't win, so she tried to hide in the Speed Force but it rejected her artificial speed and threw her out into our world. She needs our Barry to open the portal to her timeline by using the Cosmic Treadmill as it needs organic speed force energy. Iris figures out her story, but before she can do anything, Red Death knocks her down and drags her to where Barry is held, forcing him to run or he loses her.
