Welcome back team!  Fall Book Fair is all this week - be sure to check it out!  Sadly, no evening hours this year.  Also, we are raising funds for our student activity account.  We are using our annual walk-a-thon to do this.  Love to see all students contribute if possible - whether it be $1 or $232 - each dollar counts!  We have prizes!  Several birthdays to celebrate today too (4 in all).  Enjoy a great week - each and every one of you!

Friday?  Wow!  Today, I recognize the 15 members of the National Elementary Honor Society - this recognition is based on academics and leadership - we had great kids nominated - very tough to narrow it down.  Kudos to those nominated and those selected.  Remember that the Fall Scholastic Book Fair is next week during school hours.  We celebrate several student and staff birthdays.  Have a great weekend all! #OraclePride Also, walk-a-thon money.......................................................be sure to collect and turn in.  Wondering if my hair will become a different color?  #ChallengeAccepted

Welcome to October!  Wow!  What a 'cool' morning it is this morning.  I had the pleasure of sharing the Specials Hall of Fame for October - be sure to listen to the names of these amazing students!  Also, today is Future Career Day - did you dress up?  Mr. Shidler went easy and wore a 'dj' shirt........I doubt it is my future career - I like working with kids:)  Hoping everyone has a great day! #OraclePride

Welcome to Friday! Hard to believe, but we hit it!  Thank you parents for all you do for our school and students!  We value you!  We have several birthdays over the next few days.  Also, information is being shared soon about our annual Walk-A-Thon. The walk-a-thon is really our only fundraiser.  Those funds 100% go back into the Student Activity Fund.  As a school, we have no revenue stream for thus fund UNLESS we fund raise.  I encourage you to have some ways to reach out, get $10 here, $20 here, and so forth.  IF we hit our school-wide goal, Mr. Shidler, the lovable red-headed guy you know, will NO LONGER be red-headed.  What will he do?  Have a great day and a super weekend all!

Good morning my people! Made up for several missed birthdays while I have been out.  Also, we have spirit days next week - what grade will earn rights to the HUGE 4 foot spirit award trophy?  This thing is HUGE!  Also, gave some information about Spell Bowl for 4th and 5th grade students who are interested.  Have a great weekend everyone!

Great morning!  School pictures are Thursday - everyone gets their picture and yes the mask will not be required - these are the pictures that go in the yearbook AND the school-wide composite photo hanging in our cafeteria.  All pictures will be taken in the morning.  Virtual kids be here around 8:15 a.m. - parents must remain outside.  Shidler will gather them up and walk them down to get their pictures taken promptly at 8:30.  Believe it or not, Midterm 1 is this Friday!  On this date in history in 1814, Francis Scott Key composed the lyrics to The Star Spangled Banner.  #OraclePride

Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back!  Hope each of you had a great Labor Day weekend.  Our word of the week - choice.  How powerful is that short word?  We celebrate a couple student birthdays today.  Reminder, Friday is an eLearning Day to allow for MUCH NEEDED PD for our staff.  I thank you in advance for your support.  This will help us with our phonics instruction and our use of our new formative assessment - both impact all staff members.

Well, amazed it is Friday already!  Sounds like we are having a beautiful day today and tomorrow - do enjoy them.  Reminder, Labor Day is Monday.  Please be safe!  Also, note that Friday, September 11th is an eLearning day as well.  We are pleased that we are actually able to 'schedule' this day (didn't think that would happen) - however, there are some things that require significant attention and no way to do it for large staff members.  So, thank you for your patience!  Several birthdays for students and a staff member!  Enjoy all!
