Good morning!  I share birthdays of a couple of students today.  Also, Mr. Shidler reflects on what transpired over the last 24-36 hours.  Parents - thank you.  I assure you we want EVERYONE in our building.   We will continue to support how we can.  Please, please be in touch with your child's teacher if you have any questions.

Good morning all!  Several things going on this week - picture retake day is tomorrow, NEHS is meeting tomorrow @ 2:30 p.m., Jar Wars is going on all week (love loose change), and just getting a great education!  Have a great day all!

Great morning and welcome back to everyone!  Looking forward to a super week!  Our word of the week - focus.  What does 'focus' mean to you?  We celebrate a couple of birthdays today.  Good luck to our Spell Bowl team today as they compete after school.  Also, picture retakes are Wednesday for DCES.  Have a super day!

Good morning all!  Today is National Kindness Day!  That is just another day at DCES!  We recognize the efforts of our students during our recent Walk-a-Thon.  Congrats to the Maverick, Ava, and Cree for their outstanding contributions and prizes.  Today is another spirit day.  Also, we begin Jar Wars next week - any loose change, we will take.  Even that loose quarter, nickel, and dirty 3 pennies near your nightstand will work:)  Have a great weekend all!

Great morning!  This morning, we focus in again on our word of the week - prioritization.  Also, we discuss the awesome Veterans Day program put on by Mr. Conner and his 5th grade leaders.  Be sure to participate in our spirit days, get that ticket, possibly win that prize!  Also, are you interested in a leadership position within our school?  We hope so!  Have a great day!

So excited to see everyone this morning.  Today, we celebrate our veterans  - all those who have served our country!  Also, we discuss the availability of school-wide leadership positions for students opening today - tour guide, morning greeter, bulletin board, breakfast transporter, arborist, and PLTW.  Ask your child if he/she applied for one of these school-wide leadership positions (jobs).  Reminder we have spirit days all the remaining days of this week!  Which grade will win the spirit trophy?  Don't forget there is a virtual All Pro Dad event tonight at 7:30 p.m. - you can find that link information on our November newsletter.  Have a great day!

Good morning crew!  Sorry I didn't complete a podcast to end last week (thank you to those who did reach out and question why).  I got everyone caught up on birthdays, we discuss 'new' spirit days as we resume physical school on Wednesday, and we discuss other things going on in our learning community.  Looking forward to seeing all Wednesday!

Good morning all!  Again, we are entering day 4 of 10 days without kids.  The teachers/staff are restless too:)  We miss our kids but are optimistic we shall see everyone again Wednesday, Nov. 11th.  Our word of the week - vision.  What a powerful word.  I know it is tough for a 7-year old to have a vision, but it is fun to hear that at their age and see how it changes over the years.  I celebrate Caydence's birthday, discuss the 'falling back' of clocks, and share some 'This Day in History' for all those history buffs.  Have a great day all!  If you need anything, please reach out to your child's teacher or the office.

Good morning all!  We discuss several great things going on.  Our word of the week, purpose, and a couple of birthdays.  Walk-A-Thon is Thursday - we are still accepting donations to benefit our student fund.  Every donation helps!  Have a great day!  Also, Red Ribbon Week - all week!  Tomorrow is 'wear black' so be sure to wear black on Wednesday!

Great morning crew!  Hoping everyone had a restful Fall Break.  Our walk-a-thon will be Thursday - rain or shine.  If needed, we will do an abridged 'abridged' walk-a-thon within our hallways....if rain/cold is here.  Also, we gave out several awards to grade levels for The Golden PIG, The Oracle Flag, and The Golden Spatula.  Ask your child if his grade won.  Also, there is a PTA meeting(s) tonight - there is a virtual one and an 'in person' one - check out more information on the CECC & DCES FB page.  Also, we have several spirit days this week!  Today, wear red, Tuesday wear camo, Wednesday wear black, Thursday wear a hat, and on Friday, wear a safe (non-scary) costume!  This is all part of our Red Ribbon Week!

Reminder that tomorrow (10/16) is an eLearning date.  Thank you parents for your support.  Also, next week is Fall Break.  Please 'synergize' and invest in yourself, get out, have some fun.  Walk-a-thon is tentatively rescheduled for the Thursday upon our return.  Students can still bring in donations and still earn the prize.  Will I go with a non-red hair day soon?  We shall see.  We are getting closer!  Congrats to our 4th grade students for earning the 1st 9 week's spirit trophy.  Kudos to you!  Other awards will be announced upon our return after break.  Have a great day!  #OraclePride

Great morning all!  So good to have everyone back in our learning community under one roof.  Nothing better than having everyone here.  Due to anticipated rain tomorrow morning, we are pushing the DCES walk-a-thon back to after Fall Break.  Yes, please still collect donations and turn them in.  We are short our $8,000 DCES goal.  However, if we hit it OR Mr. Shidler see's a 'majority' of our students contribute SOMETHING to the cause, he may allow his lush red hair to not be red for a day (or more).  We are a team.  So, either we hit the big $ goal OR we see greater participation.  I am in it for YOU to win it!  Reminder that Friday is an eLearning day and we have Fall Break next week.  Have a GREAT day! #OraclePride

Good morning crew!  Hoping everyone had a great weekend.  I did the Corn Maze - yes, I feel all of that in my legs!  Anyway, talk about a few things in today's 4 1/2 minute podcast - check it out!  As of this moment, we are elearning today, Tuesday, and Friday.  Hope to see everyone back Wednesday and Thursday in the building.  Also, reminder that next week is Fall Break!  

Friday you say?  And just like that........looking forward to a great day!  Read several notes from Mrs. Anderson/Miss Irelan's class this morning - many students shared 'what' they are responsible for.  I will share more on Monday.  Last day of book fair is today.  Our walk-a-thon is picking up steam - numerous kids walked out with their uber-cool bracelet yesterday - how many more students will earn this?  How many students will 'synergize' to see if we reach our goal as a school?  Will Mr. Shidler go at least a day without red hair?  Oh, my.......................................that is all I have known.
