Habby Hour!

The Habs didn't have a great week! In 3 games played the Habs won NONE of them, but at least they made it look convincing! For the most part... Since that game against Ottawa? Ouch. However, we did get to see Owen Beck make his debut as a Hab! Coming up from the OHL to dress in the bleu blanc et rouge.

Well, well, WELL. The Habs played two games since the last time we recorded. With one furious game against the Panthers with plenty of questionable calls on the ice by the officials and then something of a shocker against the Leafs where the Laval Canadiens took the win in overtime! That, and plenty of other talk about the Habs, especially about Caufield!

Well! The Habs seem to be turning it around! And whether or not you are on Team Tank that might be the best of news! Since our last recording the Habs have gone 3-1 against some unlikely opponents, especially with only playing 11 forwards for a handful of games! We talk about the recent successes, the ceremony before the game against the Predators, injury updates, Kent Hughes mid-season presser, and how utterly dumb the Flyers and Ivan Provorov are.

At least we have one win to talk about on this week's episode! Unfortunately, that came over the weekend against the Blues, only to be followed by a not great effort against the Kraken on Monday night. The Habs are keep into a losing funk that does not seem to be abatting in the least, and the whole crew talks about it, including Beth! There's talk about that, Daman from the Buffalo Bills, vaccine talk, the effects of misinformation, more Habs talk, and the usually rounding off with what we've been watching this week.

Happy New Year! Unfortunately, it is not all that happy for the Habs at the moment as they go 0-2 to extend their losing streak to 6, and their winless streak to 7! Veronica and Dave talk about what might be going on, riff about the Subban homecoming (again) and then talk shop with shows and movies!

Not a great road trip so far! Since we last recorded the Habs have won exactly ZERO games! Dropping especially heavy to the likes of the Bolts and the Panthers who made easy work of our poor Habs. For this episode we start a bit with Twitter drama, and then get into the Habs for a while, and then back into Twitter drama, and then the Meghan & Harry documentary!

Well! That was some pretty bad hockey for the past week! The Habs go 1-3 in the most recent games, and how? David and Veronica are on in this episode to talk about just that! Also, some surprise news with the Habs announcing that PK Subban will be honored before a game against the Preds next month, the duo discuss this and much more on this week's episode!

We're back at it with not a ton of new news to talk about! The Habs had tilts against the Kings and the Flames, with one of the games being an easy one to forget while the other ended in a shootout for the Habs win! But, that was not without a price as Caufield had to leave the game early after taking a hit. Here's to hope that he's all right! As usual, the first half of this episode has most of the Habs talk, while the second half is... Stuff!

Of course, what was the tale of the tape this weekend for Habs hockey?? Carey Price's comments on possible Canadian gun legislation! Of course, this came days before the anniversary of the Ecole Polytechnique massacre. The crew discuss this, the FIVE games played since the last recording, and breeze through the other news in this week's episode!

Another three games under the belt for the Habs as they took on the Sabres, the Blue Jackets, and the Blackhawks. Winning 2/3 and making for a pretty decent week! Dave and Veronica chat about the games, the usual Habs news, a rumor here and there, and of course mention the one year anniversary of Jeff Gorton being hired! That, and a little more, in this week's Habby (almost) Hour!

Three games to glance over this week with emphasis on what was an exciting outing against the Flyers this past Saturday! All of which continues to prove the point that these Habs have no quit! Aside from that, the crew discuss Pierrve Gervais' book that highlights some interesting points about Pacioretty, Bergevin, and Ducharme. Necessary? Not? Who knows! More to that though, once the hockey talk is wrapped up the discussion moves to the FIFA World Cup, towards US politics and the prevalence of racism since the civil war, and also about the senseless tragedy at Club Q over the weekend.

We're back on Monday nights! At least for this week! With that being the case the gang only talks about the scant news from last week's episode to tonight, and a lot of focus on the one game played during that time against the Penguins! Also, there's a NEW (?) Habs mascot???

Four games to talk about! And we rip right through them given that this was recorded right after the game against the Canucks. Habs manage to pick up 5 out of 8 points which definitely has a certain demographic of Habs fans STEAMING. Regardless of that, the top line of Caufield-Suzuki-Dach continues to impress in mighty ways. So we have the Habs, more about Musk, and a LOT about the US midterms! Unscripted madness as always in this week's episode!

This episode went straight into the concerns we have for one of our longtime social media platforms, Twitter! Now that the guy that owns Tesla now owns it! Once we got that off our chests, we get into the two games the Habs have played since we last recorded, and then some other NHL related stuff.

Our episode this week is FINALLY available! You can blame Dave for the lateness. However, because of that, there is so much to talk about! The Habs are now 4-4-0 on the season, with Slafkovsky and Guhle netting the first goals of their careers! Beth and Dave talk about that and so much more!

The regular season is finally here! We finally get to see what the Martin St-Louis era has in store for us, as well as seeing all of the lads develop! There are a lot of new faces, and a lot of uncertainty, but as the Habs have already showed us in a young season, they will not be taking anything sitting down. The gang get together to talk about the first four games of the season!

And that's a wrap on a regrettably awful preseason! But, as MSL said himself, the preseason is a stress test, and now we all eagerly await the start of the regular season on Wednesday! We talk about the somewhat curious case of Arber Xhekaj, the opening night roster, and a bit about Mailloux and the state of sports in general.

The preseason continues and with the completion of the game tonight the Habs are still searching for the first win before the regular season starts! Dave and Veronica are on the pod tonight and they discuss what exactly that means.

As the name implies, training camp is FINALLY underway! The Habs invited an eye popping 74 players to their camp which includes 9 goalies. We could not record at our usual time, so we also talk a little about the preseason games so far, and how expectations for Slafkovsky are, uh, WAY out of touch.

We're back up to another whole 45 minute episode with the ENTIRE crew AND on a Monday night! Who woulda thunk? There is some real Habs news to talk about! Starting with the unfortunate departure of Dan Robertson from calling the Habs on radio and TV, and then leading into the Prospects Challenge! David was there in person for the third game to watch the Habs rookies faceoff against the Senators rookies!
