Ep. 110b: Private Protection Companies, with Commander Dale Brown
24/06/2020 Duración: 57minMy guest on this bonus episode is founder of the Detroit Threat Management Center, Commander Dale Brown. Dale and I discuss the mission of his company and all of the services that they offer, including entire neighborhood protection. With defunding the government police being a hot news item, I wanted to look at other models of protection and Dale's organization is truly impressive. Dale believes his company is modeled to work with a local police force but one that is a different variation of many that we see now. Dale also explains his thoughts on the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis and his ideas on the issues behind much of the violent police encounters throughout the country. Ep. 110: Neocons Return to the Democratic Party
22/06/2020 Duración: 34minMy guest this week is Daniel McCarthy, acclaimed editor of the esteemed journal, Modern Age. Daniel and I discuss the awful people known as neoconservatives and their journey back to the Democratic Party, where they are now in full support of a presidential candidate who supported the Iraq war, Joe Biden. We do a nice dive into neocons, Trump, populism and libertarianism. Daniel is a truly great thinker, and I know you'll enjoy this. Read Modern Age: Join the Libertarian Party through my link! 15/06/2020 Duración: 22minMy guest this week is the 2020 presidential candidate for the Libertarian Party, Jo Jorgensen. Dr. Jorgensen was kind enough to give us some of her time, and I enjoyed getting to know her political positions better. We discuss police violence, war, the income tax, what libertarianism means to her, and several other good topics I had not heard her discuss before. Ep. 108: No Masks Allowed Here!: Live From the Liberty Tree Tavern
10/06/2020 Duración: 01h25minThis week, we recorded LIVE from the Liberty Tree Tavern in Elgin, TX! I am joined by two co-hosts this week, Bobby Pearson of the Not For Everyone Podcast and Moral Bob of the Conversations About Freedom Podcast. We are at the Liberty Tree Tavern because I wanted to have the owner of the bar, Kevin Smith, on the show. Kevin instituted a "no masks allowed" policy at the Liberty Tree Tavern around two weeks ago when people were still freaked out about dying from COVID-19. As you can imagine, the mob came after him. He received threats, doxing, and all of the usual scare tactics the fundamentalist left likes to use. He also gained a lot of support from locals and people from all over coming into his bar and wanting to tip big and give him their business. Kevin shares stories from his days with Alex Jones and the Ron Paul Revolution days as well. Also, just to add to the environment of a live, on-scene recording, there are two scuffles that break out WHILE we are recording the podcast. We also do a Q&A sessi

Ep. 107: Police States and Lockdowns: The Government War On Americans, with John Whitehead
01/06/2020 Duración: 37minMy guest this week is author and founder of the Rutherford Institute, John Whitehead. John and I discuss the growing authoritarian Police State in America. From lockdowns to murders by cops to the growing technocratic state with contract tracing and further violations of the fourth amendment, more than any other time in history, our civil liberties are under threat. Unfortunately, the younger generation has been groomed to accept things like this through government schooling and agenda-driven mainstream media. John gives some very helpful suggestions on how to wake people up and fight this system moving forward. Ep. 106b: Fighting the Fundamentalist Left, with Feminist Megan Murphy
27/05/2020 Duración: 46minOn this bonus episode, not only do I have a great guest in Megan Murphy, but I have a co-host in Bobby Pearson! Meghan Murphy is back on the show to discuss how elements of the left will not stand for her pure version of being a feminist. Meghan is very well known in the feminist movement, having started Feminist Current in 2012, Canada's leading feminist website. She now speaks to large crowds and is often protested by people within the trans community who try to shout her down for standing her ground and speaking up for women and free speech. I wanted to have her back on for a casual chat and to catch up on her latest projects such as her YouTube show, "The Same Drugs". My friend, fellow AnCap, and host of the "Not For Everyone" podcast, Bobby Pearson, is my co-host, and we wanted to just have a fun, casual chat with Meghan, and that's what this is. Ep. 106: The Moral Case For Fossil Fuels, with Alex Epstein
25/05/2020 Duración: 35minMy guest this week is Alex Epstein, author of the book, "The Moral Case For Fossil Fuels". Alex is here to do exactly what it sounds like: make the moral case for fossil fuels. Alex brings a refreshing perspective to the topics of global warming, CO2, energy, and so on, in that he uses human life as the standard of value. Alex brings overwhelming evidence that mankind's use of fossil fuels is supremely virtuous because using fossil fuels transforms our environment to make it wonderful for human life. The Green Movement puts human life way behind "untouched nature", and in more cases than not, they will be quite honest about the low value they place on human life. I think you'll enjoy this wonderful red-pilling perspective on this topic. To learn more about Alex and his think-tank, visit: Join the Libertarian Party through my link! Ep. 105: Taking the Red Pill, with Tho Bishop
18/05/2020 Duración: 54minMy guest this week is Mises Wire assistant editor, Tho Bishop. Tho is here to talk with me about the "red pill" and what it means to have taken it. There have been many moments in the last several decades where people have had their eyes opened ("taken the red pill") and realized that media, politicians, universities, and other State institutions were lying to them to further a separate agenda: Waco, Vietnam, Iraq, the 2008 crash, the fake Russia scandal, and the list goes on and on. We discuss some of these moments in history that have red-pilled people. We also talk populism, libertarianism, Trump, Justin Amash, Mises, Rothbard, Hoppe, and more. I know you'll enjoy this discussion with Tho Bishop. More about Tho: Follow Tho on Twitter: Read the Hans Herman Hoppe book we discussed: Join the Libertarian Party through my link! Ep. 104: A Society That Imagines a New Fear Every Day, with Peter Van Buren
11/05/2020 Duración: 43minMy guest this week is the great writer, Peter Van Buren. He is here to give his humorous take and brilliant insights on the insane moment that we are living through right now. Many on the left have been paralyzed by a fear of leaving the house, and they're pushing their religion of Statism and Fear on the rest of us. They have become like rescue dogs, constantly imagining new fears and odd things to freak out about. Apparently, the same people that have promised Trump is a Russian spy, we have to take out Assad, Trump will cause a depression after he takes office, Robert Mueller will change everything, and so on and so on are now telling us that locking down an economy and not allowing people to work is the only way to save humanity. They're also telling us that now, believing "all women" isn't a priority like it was during the Kavanaugh hearings. Can you believe these people? Do their loud monotonous voices drive you crazy? Then you'll appreciate this chat between Peter Van Buren and me. Find the articles we

Ep. 103: This Bust Wasn't Caused by a Virus, with Mark Thornton
04/05/2020 Duración: 50minMy guest this week is Mises Institute Senior Fellow and Austrian Economist, Dr Mark Thornton. Mark discusses the economic downturn we are currently in, and it's one that he and many other Austrian economists predicted. It wasn't caused by the coronavirus, although the virus may have been the straw that broke the camel's back. The symptoms of this bust have been in place much longer than the symptoms of the coronavirus. The fundamentals were weak, and the Federal Reserve, as usual, is the problem, not the cure. Dr. Thornton details what went wrong, what will make it worse, the systemic damage that the shutdown is causing, and the long term effects of this all. He also discusses what would help things and what we should've done from the start. Read Mark's article here: Find more of Mark's writings and books here: Join the Libertarian Party through my link! Ep. 102: An "America First" U.S. Military is Now a Must, with Doug Bandow
27/04/2020 Duración: 38minMy guest today is Cato Institute Senior Fellow, Doug Bandow. Doug wrote a recent article called, "Now's the Time to Become a Truly 'America First' Military". This coronavirus mess has not only caused an economic shut down and disaster, but congress has voted to spend trillions of dollars to help "fix" things. We now know that drastic changes at the federal level will be necessary. There is simply not enough money for grandiose ideas at that level, so it's now time to end the wars and start pulling the troops home... from everywhere. We couldn't afford the global military adventures before. We certainly can't afford them now. So it is time to do what people like Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan have been saying for years: bring the troops home and defend the United States from home. Ep. 101: Truths About Coronavirus, with Michael Cheney
20/04/2020 Duración: 54minMy guest today is entrepreneur and podcaster Michael Cheney. He has put together a fact-filled eBook detailing many important aspects of the coronavirus. As he puts it: "This is not about conjecture – this is about facts and gathering available data in a way which clarifies what we are being told, how much of that is true, and what we are not being told..." Michael put a lot of research into this book, and I ask him about all of it in this interview. From the death rate statistics, to the issues in Italy, to the government overreach in order to "flatten the curve". Why are the methods to help fix this mess so heavily politicized? We hit on all of these issues in this episode. Ep. 100: Jeff Deist on Ending the Lockdown & the Need for Secession
13/04/2020 Duración: 52minFor my 100th episode, I welcome Mises Institute President, Jeff Deist, back to the show. Jeff brings his unique and principled perspective on ways to deal with this Coronavirus moment. We discuss the value of decentralized methods of dealing with many of the issues involved in not only this crisis, but any crisis. Top down, one-size-fits-all solutions do not work in a country of 350 million people. We talk about liberty, the need for civil disobedience, and the necessary break up of a country that is far too politicized in far too many aspects of society. Jeff also discusses some ways that individual states can deal with this current crisis. I know you'll enjoy his perspective on things. Ep. 99b: A Conversation with the Reverend Horton Heat
08/04/2020 Duración: 01h15minI am stoked to bring you this bonus episode with none other than The Reverend Horton Heat, Jim Heath! We get into music and politics and everything in between. Considered by many to be the Godfather of modern rockabilly and psychobilly, Jim has been playing music for decades. Now, due to this COVID-19 craziness, he has been forced to cancel all of his gigs. Initially, he was willing to keep playing for his crew and bandmates, but when he announced that, he received a lot of personal attacks from the online mob. He's here to discuss how that all went down and a lot more. Find the Reverend Horton Heat online here: Join the Libertarian Party through my link! Ep. 99: Time to End the Wars & Other Govt. Failures, with Scott Horton
06/04/2020 Duración: 58minMy guest today is the great Scott Horton. I brought Scott on to discuss how this COVID-19 pandemic and the costs surrounding it will affect foreign policy. Fighting multiple wars overseas was already unaffordable. Now, there is no longer any reasonable doubt that we can't afford the troop deployment any longer. We also get into how Trump has handled things so far with this COVID-19 craziness, and then Scott goes on a wonderful tangent about the failures of government at every level and how a more libertarian government would have been better every step of the way. Ep. 98b: How COVID-19 is Impacting Musicians, with Dale Watson & Big Sandy
31/03/2020 Duración: 47minOn this special bonus episode, I bring you two of my favorite singers whom I've also had the pleasure of calling friends for a long time, Dale Watson and Big Sandy. They are both well known touring musicians who front their respective bands. I wanted to have them on to discuss how this coronavirus craziness has affected them as musicians. I want to attack this story from several angles, so I figured, why not reach out to some friends who depend on live audiences for their main income? Dale Watson and Big Sandy have been entertaining crowds worldwide since the 1980s, and much like you and me, they've never experienced a moment like this. I think you'll appreciate their perspectives, and despite this tough moment, their optimistic view of things. Ep. 98: No Anarchy Allowed in the UK, with Michael Cheney
30/03/2020 Duración: 01h03minThis week, I'm joined by Michael Cheney of the Michael Cheney Show. We discuss several aspects of this Coronavirus craziness that we are living through. Michael lives in Scotland and has great insight into the healthcare system in the UK, how they're handling (or not handling) the increased demand right now, the strict guns laws, the strict "shelter in place" rules, and much more. Michael is a very successful businessman, and he tells us about how he became financially independent and how it put him in a place where he's not hurting at all through this quarantine process. Ep. 97: Things Have Changed, with James Howard Kunstler
23/03/2020 Duración: 46minWell, this is certainly the most bizarre time of my entire life and probably yours as well. The Coronavirus and all of the things it is affecting, well, it's like nothing I've ever seen. One thing of which we can be certain is that things have changed and things will remain changed forever after this. My guest today is James Howard Kunstler, and we talk about what has and what will change and what it might look like on the other side of this mess. James gives us his well informed, unique take, and as usual, he adds his own brand of wit. To read and hear more of Mr Kunstler's work, visit him here: Join the Libertarian Party through my link! Ep. 96: Neoconservatism, with Srdja Trifkovic
16/03/2020 Duración: 46minAuthor, journalist, editor, professor, and former broadcaster, Srdja Trifkovic joins me this week to discuss Neoconservatism. The "neocons" as they're called, have had a heavy hand in promoting disastrous foreign policy decisions over the decades, most notably the Iraq wars. Every policy they favor seems to turn out badly, yet their influence is still there. Where and how did they originate? Why are they called "conservative" when they're really anything but? Are we seeing their last attempts at relevancy as they further promote contentious relations with Russia? Srdja Trifkovic has been studying them and writing against their policies for years, and his knowledge of their movement is very helpful as he gives us the dirty details of the Neoconservative movement.
