09/03/2020 Duración: 44minMy guest this week is Allen Gindler. He is here to talk about socialism, which he knows a bit about since he grew up in the Soviet Union. He is here to discuss various types of socialism, what each ones represents, and why it's important to not classify them all as "Marxism". Ep. 94: The Progressive Era, with Dr. Patrick Newman
02/03/2020 Duración: 41minMy guest this week is Dr. Patrick Newman, and he is here to discuss the infamous Progressive Era with me. Many people still view the era from 1890-1920 as an era of giant leaps forward for the US: for business, for workers, and for government. As with many aspects of establishment orthodoxy, that couldn't be more wrong. Regulation and crony capitalism have led to many horrific outcomes that we still deal with today. Find out the real history of what should actually be called the Regressive Era, here on Episode 94. 24/02/2020 Duración: 57minMy guest this week is Pete Quinones, host of the "Free Man Beyond the Wall" podcast and managing editor at the Libertarian Institute. I invited Pete on to chat about his podcast, libertarianism in general, and the new documentary he is co-producing called, "Monopoly on Violence". Pete and I have a lot in common, so it was fun to just basically shoot the sh*t. We also got into anarchism, police, abortion, intellectual property, annoying libertarians, and secession. I know you'll enjoy this chat. Check out Pete's work: Check out Pete's website: Join the Libertarian Party through my link! Ep. 92: Promoting Unfettered Free Speech, with Peter Van Buren
17/02/2020 Duración: 39minMy guest today is journalist and author Peter Van Buren. Peter has fought hard for the principle of free speech. Peter worked for the State Department for 24 years, including a stint in Iraq. When his book, "We Meant Well: How I Helped Lose the Battle for the Hearts and Minds of the Iraqi People", was released, the US Government came after him, claiming that he published classified material. Peter also wrote articles for the left-leaning publication, "The Nation", until they weren't happy that he was writing articles promoting free speech, and they stopped accepting his articles. However, The American Conservative does still appreciate his stance on unfettered free speech. This is a microcosm of a cultural shift, in general. The modern left has vocally come out against free speech and the modern right has embraced it. We get into this topic along with discussing Peter's excellent work on the Russiagate saga. Peter is one of the best journalists out there, and I know you'll enjoy this interview. Visit Peter's

Ep. 91: Building a Direct Republic, with Donnie Gebert
10/02/2020 Duración: 01h11minThis week I talk with Donnie Gerbert. Donnie is a former US Army intelligence sergeant who also held various other positions in the US military. He is here to discuss his book (and plan) called "A Direct Republic: The Null Hypothesis of Politics". During his 17 years in the Armed Forces, Donnie studied and learned how to systematically tear down a government and then build a new one. He's combined his leadership, military, and economics education and put forth a plan on how to do just that right here in the United States. I know you'll enjoy this discussion. 13/01/2020 Duración: 49minMy guest this week is F.H. Buckley, author of the new book "". We discuss his book and get into many of the angles of the idea of secession here in the United States. With one person ruling over an extremely divided 350 million people, secession may be the most logical and peaceful way forward. Why not let California be California and go their own way? Same with Texas. Same with many other states. We chat about nullification, local control, and other options other than secession as well. Hope y'all enjoy this one! Find F.H. Buckley . Buy his book . 30/12/2019 Duración: 41minMy guest this week is John Baeza, and we discuss the three years he attempted to be a "libertarian cop". John is a retired member of the NYPD, where he was a detective who was assigned to the Manhattan Special Victims Squad. There he investigated and reviewed approximately 1,000 cases of rape, serial rape, sexual homicide, felony sexual assault, and child abuse cases. During his tenure there, he started realizing the pain and suffering caused by the war on drugs. He was reading libertarian books, and after that, there was no turning back for him. John became a libertarian. After his career with NYPD was over with, he became a Deputy down in Florida where he made a promise to himself: from that point on, he would be a libertarian cop. In this episode we talk about how that went for him and how it ended. John was also the head of security for the Ron Paul campaign! I, of course, had to ask him all about that as well. Ep. 82: Philip Giraldi on the Deep State and Trump
09/12/2019 Duración: 34minMy guest today is Philip Girladi, and we discuss all things "Deep State". We now know that former CIA Director, John Brennan, formed a "CIA Trump Task Force" with several other nefarious deep state figures in order to tie Donald Trump to Vladimir Putin. This turned out to be fruitless, yet a lot of damage was still done. Why did these deep state figures want to derail Trump's presidential aspirations? Why are they always on the side of more war and more foreign intervention? My guest today knows those answers and more, as he is an ex-CIA officer and comes at this with a wealth of information. Ep. 80: Against the Left, with Lew Rockwell
25/11/2019 Duración: 43minMy guest this week is the great Lew Rockwell. Lew is the founder and chairman of the Mises Institute, as well as the creator of the great news site, LewRockwell.com. We discuss a variety of topics including Lew's new book, "Against The Left: A Rothbardian Libertarianism". Lew is a great representative of the hardcore Rothbardian brand of libertarianism, and we apply it to immigration, egalitarianism, and the dangers posed by the left, including the so-called "left libertarians". Lew also talks about coalitions that libertarians should strive to forge in the current climate. He was kind enough to email a list of the Mises and Rothbard books that he recommends. Here are the links to those books: Mises: - "Planning for Freedom" - - "The Causes of the Economic Crisis" - - "Liberalism" - - "Liberty and Property" - - "The Anti-Capitalistic Mentality" - Rothbard: - "What Has Government Done to Our Money" - - "Anatomy of the State" - - "The Case Against the Fed" - - "For a New Liberty" - - "Egalitarianism a

Ep. 79: Politics Drops Its Pretenses, with Jeff Deist
18/11/2019 Duración: 46minMy guest this week is the president of the Mises Institute, Jeff Deist. Jeff and I discuss the themes within his recent article, "Politics Drops Its Pretenses" and his recent speech on how "meaningless words" create a narrative. Is "democracy" really a good thing? Do those who use it even know what it means? Are we best off when 51% of the voters force their will upon the other 49%? Is it realistic for libertarians to find the right presidential candidate that will win over a majority of voters in hopes to live in a libertarian society? What if secession and decentralization is the best way moving forward? We will hear the establishment tell us that "politics and voting will bring us together" and "democracy in action is a good thing". Why does it seem, then, that the further entrenched government becomes in our lives, the more divisive and at odds the country becomes? Pete and I discuss several crazy instances of pure abuses of "power" by government police officers. These instances are, of course, appalling and disturbing and we give our thoughts on each instance along with discussing the bigger issue of governmental power in general. Pete is a great podcaster and managing editor over at the Libertarian Institute. He's also the author of the book, "Freedom Through Memedom- The 31 Day Guide to Waking Up to Liberty".
