Matthew 5:20 Righteousness is a concept that has been deeply ingrained in our society. It is often associated with perfection, moral uprightness, and an unwavering commitment to doing what is right. However, the truth about righteousness is much more nuanced than this outward show of perfection. True righteousness is found in the heart. According to Matthew 5:20, Jesus highlights the importance of looking beyond mere appearances regarding righteousness. The heart of righteousness lies in our intentions and motivations behind our actions. We must seek to do what is right not because it will make us look good or gain us approval from others but because it aligns with our values and beliefs. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4:7 Prayer is the gateway to peace and the heart of a fulfilled life. However, as believers in Christ, we must be mindful of the spiritual warfare surrounding us. The enemy, Satan, always seeks ways to attack and disrupt our walk with God. In 1 Peter 5:8-9, it says, "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith." With this warning in mind, we must be vigilant and prepared for any attacks that may come our way. One powerful weapon against spiritual warfare is prayer. In James 4:7, it says, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." By submitting ourselves to God through prayer and seeking His protection over our lives, we can resist the temptations of Satan and overcome his attacks. We must pray fervently and declare boldly in Jesus' name that we will not fall prey to the dev

"Set your mind on things that are above, not on things that are on earth." Colossians 3:2 As believers, we have a heavenly destiny promised through our faith in Jesus Christ. In Matthew 4:10, Jesus reminds us to worship only God and serve Him alone. This verse reminds us of the importance of focusing on God and not exchanging our faith for anything else. Our heavenly destiny is not something that can be earned or exchanged. It is a gift from God that he freely gives to everyone who puts their faith in him. Therefore, we must embrace this destiny with open arms and live according to God's will. There may be times when we are tempted to exchange our faith for worldly things, but as Christians, we must remember the words of Matthew 4:10 and remain steadfast in our devotion to God. In the Gospel of Matthew, we read about Jesus being tempted in the wilderness three times. The third temptation is particularly interesting because it shows us how Jesus refused to make an exchange with Satan, even though it would have

"Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations." Jeremiah 1:5  Heavenly Destiny is not just a journey to find joy but a voyage of self-discovery that leads to a lasting relationship with God. As Psalm 40:5 says, "Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare." The ultimate goal of Heavenly Destiny is to bring one closer to Jesus Christ and allow them to develop a meaningful relationship with Him. The journey towards Heavenly Destiny will not only help individuals discover their purpose in life but also help them connect with their inner selves. This connection enables people to experience a sense of peace and joy that comes from within. As Christians, we believe that our Heavenly Father has a divine plan for each and every one of us. This is exemplified in Jeremiah 29:11, where God declares

"Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory, honor, and power, for you created all things, and by your will, they existed and were created." Revelation 4:11 Showing gratitude to Jesus every day is an important part of living a life of faith. Jesus loves us deeply, and his love for us never falters, no matter what we do. As John 8:10-11 states, "Jesus said to her, 'Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?' She said, 'No one, Lord.' And Jesus said, 'Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.'" This scripture shows how much Jesus loves each and every one of us despite our shortcomings. To properly show our love and appreciation for this gift from God, we must express our gratitude daily.  Of course, some people may not understand why we must show gratitude to Jesus, but many times we find ourselves in different life situations, and we get to see whether our loved ones will desert us or they will stick around without being too close. Ephesians 5:14  There is always hope for a fresh start and the ability to be restored. When you allow God to restore you, you will be like a flower in the desert being revived after a rainstorm. Even though its petals have wilted and faded from the heat, it can come back to life with just a little nourishment. The story of David and Bathsheba in the Bible is one of the most fascinating restoration accounts. After David had gone to Bathsheba, he committed a great sin that led to tragic consequences; however, his repentance and willingness to make amends set him on the path to restoration. David's story reminds us that nothing is beyond repair, no matter how grave our situation may be. It takes humility, genuine repentance, and a willingness to do what it takes to right our wrongs. In David's case, he acknowledged his sin, sought God's forgiveness, and reparated for his

When Jesus was on earth, He referred to God more as Father than any other term. He repeated it so often that it would make mischief to deny the same. His apostles repeated the same in all their letters. Peter says we were born of the word (1 Peter 1:23). James says He is the Father of lights, and we are a kind of first fruit of his creatures (James 1:17,18), and the writer of Hebrews affirms he brought many sons unto the glory and that we are His brethren (Hebrews 2:10,11), John exclaims Beloved, now are we the sons of God (1 John 3:1,2). Jesus, upon His resurrection, says to Mary, 'go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God (John 20.17). The Bible clarifies that children's identity in the kingdom of God is determined not by their age but by what they believe and do. This means that no matter how young or old we may be when we accept Jesus into our hearts, He gives us new life and fills us with His spirit.  With this new life in Christ comes an opportunity to live differently - to become more like Him and less like our former selves. God's faithfulness is seen in the rising sun each morning. It is dependable and consistent, like the promise of a new day beginning. We find assurance in His loving kindness, which symbolizes his unwavering devotion to us; He never fails us. In Isaiah 46:4, we are reminded that God's faithfulness is unshakable: "Even to your old age I am he, even when your hair has turned gray I will carry you; I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and save."  God's faithful presence brings comfort and hope during our darkest days. We can trust that He is there for us no matter what we face or how much time passes. We might have embraced 'reality' television programming far from reality and God's agenda. Likewise, we might have allowed ourselves to be deceived for the sake of entertainment due to hidden agendas, greedy motives, and manipulative tactics that

Romans 15:13 Through prayer, we can talk to God and ask for guidance, strength, and comfort. Philippians 1:6, in particular, offers a powerful message of hope and peace -saying, "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." This verse speaks volumes about faith's power and trust in God's plan for our lives. I pray that the Lord will look upon you with favor and give you peace in Jesus' name. Amen.
