"Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure your hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God." Hebrews 3:12 The Old Testament story of 'Dying At The Gate of Plenty' found in 2 Kings 7:1-20 is a remarkable tale of faith and abundance. This ancient tale follows four lepers who, challenged by famine, find the courage to investigate the Syrian camp and discover an astonishing truth. Much to their surprise, they find the camp abandoned with all its resources intact. Though initially apprehensive, these brave lepers decide to take the risk and share this news with their people in Samaria, who have been suffering from hunger for so long.  In a miraculous turn of events, their decision greatly rewards them and everyone living in Samaria. After hearing the news brought by these brave lepers at the gate of plenty, everyone rejoices in God's abundant blessings that saved them from death caused by starvation. "Give me wisdom and knowledge that I may lead these people, for who can govern these great people of yours?" As King Solomon once asked in 2 Chronicles 1:10, "Give me now wisdom and knowledge." Likewise, we must recognize that by gaining a better understanding of the world and its mechanics, we can access deeper levels of spiritual proficiency. Because seeking to become partakers of the divine nature or fulfill our calling is an immense task that requires us to challenge ourselves and increase our knowledge continually. He knew he needed wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to fulfill God's call. Intelligence Quotient is like a pulse rate. It reflects the capacity of a person to learn and understand things quickly. That's why God desires us to be wise and thoughtful, according to Proverbs 1:1-33. Intelligence Quotient impacts our daily decision-making, problem-solving skills, and overall life goals. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17 What great promises in these today's verses! First, God tells us His Word is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. Then, if that's not enough, He goes on to say that the man of God may be "thoroughly equipped for every good work." These are some pretty major guarantees! If we want to grow in our knowledge of God and be effective in our Christian lives, we must study His Word.  The Bible is full of wisdom and instruction to help us become the people God wants us to be. And it's not just for theologians or spiritual experts. The Bible is for everyone! So how do we go about studying the Bible? One great way is to read a chapter or two every day. Try to read with a pencil and paper in hand, and make notes of any thoughts or insights God gives you. You can also look for verses

"For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings." Hosea 6:6 The Bible speaks to the power of knowledge in Hosea 4:6, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." In this passage, God warns His people against their mental and spiritual downfall. He claims they will fail and be destroyed if they do not increase their knowledge of Him and His ways. This applies to almost every aspect of life today - especially regarding business, ministry, marriage, and careers!  A Christian with myopic ways of God might link the idea of faith alone with success (see 2 Peter 1); however, failure in business might not be an issue of faith or virtue but a lack of knowledge or IQ. Without an understanding of how to operate within the current market or effectively use technology, many businesses fall short and fail quickly. With the right resources, anyone can increase their IQ through targeted activities that boost smart thinking skills. The most effective way to increase your IQ involves challenging yourself with new activities. For example, reading books on a variety of topics will not only help expand your knowledge base but also assist you in sharpening your analytical skills. "Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me." Psalm 51:11 In times of distress and despair, many turn to prayer and call on the Lord for help. We can find comfort in Psalm 51:11, which reads, "Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me." This verse has helped many individuals face overwhelming challenges with strength and faith in God. The words of this psalm remind us that God is a loving Father who will never abandon us in our times of need. He is always there to provide an encouraging word or comforting hand to guide us through any darkness we may experience.  Even when all hope is lost, we can remain assured that God's love for us is everlasting and His grace knows no bounds. Romans 7:14 Being an overcomer of sin through the Holy Ghost is like a lifeguard saving a struggling swimmer from drowning; the Holy Ghost can come to our rescue if we seek Him and rely on His power to help us overcome our sins. Through sin, our lives can become cluttered with various difficulties that seem insurmountable. But when we look to the Holy Ghost and trust in His power, we can overcome any difficulty and be free from sin. The Holy Ghost is a powerful source of strength, guidance, and reassurance that will never lead us astray.  The Holy Ghost guides us in all aspects of life and helps us discern between right and wrong. He gives us strength to stand firm in adversity, comfort during times of distress, hope for brighter days, courage to face challenges, and faith that all things are possible through God's grace. It transcends physical and emotional boundaries, allowing us to reach out to and understand each other in a way no other feeling can. The benefits of being in love are numerous, from increased happiness and mental well-being to improved physical health and longevity. Being in love brings about a sense of contentment that allows us to be our best selves. When we experience the joys of being loved by another person, it encourages us to open ourselves up emotionally and explore deeper connections with those around us. Loving relationships bring greater levels of trust into our lives, which translates into better communication between partners and increased self-confidence when facing life's challenges together. John 3:16 Love is like the sun; its warmth can be felt and seen by all, bringing light and life to everything it touches. Are you in love? Many people experience a feeling of strong affection for someone else, but is this real love or something else? To understand what it means to be in love, one must look at John 3:16 again. In this, we can see how true and unconditional love is: God's gift of His son was out of pure and sacrificial adoration for all humankind. That's why we all agree that love is a gift from God; to benefit from it, we must cherish it with all our hearts and accept it as His blessing. True love is also sacrificial and selfless. It involves putting another's needs before your own; understanding their feelings; wanting the best for them even if it means suffering loss or hurting yourself; and sharing good times while supporting each other through bad times. It's like asking a flower to bloom in the sun. The sun is God, and the flower are you, ready to open up and blossom in His love. Because being a Child of God is like being in love with life itself. It is an intensely zealous and spiritual state of existence, which can be achieved by understanding the power of divine love within you. Therefore, to be truly connected to the source of all love, one must first understand what it means to be a Child of God. The path to becoming a Child of God begins with recognizing that we have been blessed with a special gift - unconditional love from our Creator. We are connected to this divine source through faith, prayer, and meditation. When we open ourselves up to receive it, we start on the journey toward true spiritual awakening and harmony. "In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." 1 John 4:10  Unloveability is an illusion that comes from the state of hatred mind; we all can be loved and loved in return. Unloveability can be described as being unlovable or unworthy of love. It can manifest itself in many forms, including physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual states. It is important to understand that unlovability is not permanent; it can be healed and reversed through loving self-care and positive thinking.  Many people struggle with a sense of unlovability, which can lead to feelings of insecurity, worthlessness, and rejection in their relationships. For some, these feelings can become so intense that they disrupt their relationship with their loved ones. In addition, unlovability can cause someone to feel like their partner is not truly interested in them or doesn't care about them. This feeling can lead to an overall lack of trust and confidence in t

"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works." Hebrews 10:24  Loving the unlovable is like trying to find a diamond in a coal mine - it might take time and hard work, but it's worth it when you do. A lot of times, we find it difficult to love the unlovable. We may see someone as unpleasant, rude, or mean, and it's hard to find it in our hearts to show them compassion or love. But what if we looked at them through the lens of God's love? What if we saw them as someone worth our time, attention, and love, no matter how unlovable they may seem? In Romans 5:8, Paul says, "But God demonstrates His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.". This verse speaks to the heart of God's love for us. While we were still sinners, God sent His son to die for us. He loves us so much that He was willing to sacrifice His son for us. When I remember how muc

"Guard your heart with all diligence, for from it flow springs of life." Proverbs 4:23 Expressing love in action is a powerful way to show how much you care for someone. Matthew 12:35 emphasizes how true love comes from within and should be expressed with actions. Proverbs 4:23 further reinforces this point by saying, "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life," meaning that what we keep in our hearts will determine our actions towards others. Expressing your love through action means being thoughtful and showing genuine care instead of simply uttering words or making empty promises. —so, what kind of love are you expressing? Doing something out of the ordinary can be a sign of pure affection. Whether it's giving someone flowers or cooking dinner for them, these small gestures can make all the difference. Showing love through actions doesn't require much effort or cost money. It's all a matter of the heart and how you express yourself to those around you. It doesn't take much tim

As such, it can be argued that love is a matter of the heart, an intangible but profound concept that motivates individuals toward authentic relationships with others on an emotional level. In other words, love is not only felt but also expressed through one's actions and behavior.  Love is the sweetest emotion that can fill a person's heart with joy. The concept of love can be further broken down into attraction, satisfaction, and commitment. From an evolutionary perspective, it is believed to be an adaptive behavior to facilitate social bonding and reproduction. Love is a mysterious thing with many different types and forms. It

"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in the due season, we will reap if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9 I read a story of a young woman, driven by her faith and dreams, who aspired to make a difference in the world. Yet life did not offer the desirable opportunities she was hoping for, and she found herself frustrated with the status quo. She is a strong woman with a strong faith in God who believes that all things are possible with confidence. Yet, with that faith alone, she is desperate to find a helper and believes her prayers will be answered because she needs a companion to assist her in life, turn her life around, and provide comfort, yet each time she prays for help and finds one, she ends up losing it into divorce. After much contemplation, She started to understand why when a wise mentor told her that although having faith was essential, adding virtue was equally important if she wanted to achieve success. Virtue is a quality that many strive to achieve in life. It stands for strength of character, goodness, and morality. The Bible provides guidance on increasing our Virtue Quotient (VQ). 2 Peter 1:5 says, "For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue." This verse encourages us to add virtue to our faith to succeed. Because Adding virtue to your faith can bring a sense of purpose and clarity to your life, allowing you to live with more confidence and joy.  Virtue brings balance to faith, helping us to stay rooted in our principles and find strength in our beliefs. I know some people don't get the memo about adding virtue to faith; they only think about faith alone. I have faith, they said but forgot about other things that make faith work. "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you." Matthew 7:7 Do you complain about your situation or pray about it? It's like choosing between stirring a soup with a spoon or adding spices to give it flavor. Complaining is like stirring the pot. You are just rearranging the same ingredients without making any improvements. Another way we can say this is that it's like being stuck in a river with rapids and faced with two options; either you can struggle against the current or ask for help from someone who can guide you safely. Because prayer is a language of the heart, it helps us express our deepest feelings. It is an opportunity to tell God what is on our minds and hearts and ask Him for help. Mark 11:24  Prayer is one of the most fundamental aspects of a Christian's spiritual life. Connecting with God, seeking guidance and understanding, and experiencing a deeper communion with Him are important. However, many of us struggle to pray as we ought to. "Who is it that overcomes the world except for the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?" 1 John 5:5  Strong faith is incredibly important in living a successful and fulfilling life. While we can't always control what happens in our lives, having faith can help us stay centered and feel connected to something larger than ourselves. But how do you increase your faith quotient? Psalm 27:13 provides insight into this question: "I had fainted unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living." We can be more fearless in pursuing our dreams and goals with a high FQ. We can also more easily trust in the Lord during difficult times.
