Sinopsis

Getting into Scripture daily is tough! I recently felt convicted about how low on my priority list spending time with God had become. I made it a priority and through this regular reading, I wanted an outlet to share my thoughts on what I have read. So, for what it's worth, these are my thoughts on Bible verses that I have recently read and had an impact on me.https://www.dailychristianpodcast.com/

  • (028) Those Church People...

    18/04/2018 Duración: 06min

Here are some of the things that the first half of Romans Chapter 10 has me thinking about... 1. Just because you go to church doesn't mean you are saved. 2. Don't let weird people keep you from being plugged in at your local church! Where 2 or more gather, He is in their presence. Go be among other believers. More on my thoughts of those who go... and those who don't go to church in episode (028) on the Daily Christian Podcast. https://www.dailychristianpodcast.com https://www.instagram.com/dailychristianpodcast/ https://www.facebook.com/youhave1purpose/ #dailydevotional #christianpodcast #podcast #dailydevo #jesuschrist #jesus #bible #christian #church #savedbygrace #workinprogress #dontjudge #weirdchurchpeople #goanyways

  • (027) Thank You | Church Cooperation

    17/04/2018 Duración: 03min

Changed the podcast name to "Daily Christian" podcast to help people find me who have been searching, the "For What It's Worth" is more of a tagline for me now. I am in Romans Chapter 9 - I am reminded of how the Apostle Paul knew scripture so well and how he was writing to the church in Rome and showing them what they were misinterpreting. 1. We should all strive to have a clearer understanding of scripture. 2. I think of all the church splits that have happened over the centuries revolving around how scripture is interpreted. How much impact could we have if we focused more on the things we agreed upon? https://www.dailychristianpodcast.com https://www.instagram.com/dailychristianpodcast/ https://www.facebook.com/youhave1purpose/

  • (026) More than a Conqueror!

    16/04/2018 Duración: 07min

What have I accomplished with my life? Am I more than a conqueror or am I barely surviving? If the purpose of your life is to give God glory, you win! He will help you fulfill a life with that purpose. "If God is for us who can be against us?” Romans 8:31 “…in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Romans 8:37

  • (025) The Battle Within

    15/04/2018 Duración: 05min

Trying to lose weight sucks, there is a constant battle of the things I want to eat vs the things that I know I should be eating! If there was a weight gain competition I could win with no problems. Romans Chapter 7 & 8, The apostle Paul mentions an inward battle of our sinful nature and the life God wants us to live. It is a war going on within! Have you ever struggled doing what you know you should be doing? More on my thoughts on my latest podcast (about 6 minutes in length) Have an iPhone? • (024) Full Access Pass

    14/04/2018 Duración: 04min

Ephesians Chapter 1 Marked in Him with a seal! God has marked us with the Holy Spirit, He is proof that we have a full access pass to the Father. What a gift He is, the leading and guiding can and will change your life. Live a life in tune with God! For What it's worth, these are my thoughts...

  • (023) Richness that Lasts

    13/04/2018 Duración: 03min

Jeff Bezos is worth over $120B when I recorded this podcast! That is a number that is difficult to comprehend. To help understand - a Million Dollars, in $100 bills stacked on the ground, would reach about 3.5 feet high. That means a Billion Dollars would be about 3500 feet! That is twice as high as the tallest building in the United States, remember that is only $1B when Bezos has over $120B. Crazy! Bezos riches are but a grain of sand in the Sahara Desert compared to the riches that God has! Ephesians Chapter 2, here are my thoughts.

  • (022) Leadership Ready!

    12/04/2018 Duración: 04min

There are tough expectations for those who serve in a leadership role. I believe that when we have that influence that leaders have, that God Judges that appropriately. 1 Timothy Chapter 3 goes over the qualifications that are required for someone to have a leadership role in the church body. However, we should qualify for leadership whether we plan on being a leader in ministry or not. The things listed here shows a life that has truly been changed by God, and that is a life that we should be living regardless of official role at the church we attend and/or serve.

  • (021) Salvation Desire

    11/04/2018 Duración: 04min

Our God is so awesome, He has a desire that all be saved! 1 Timothy 2:3-4 "This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." As we grow close to Him we will also have that same desire.

  • (020) Plugged in (Church)

    10/04/2018 Duración: 08min

Let's not underestimate the power of being around other believers who are actually walking in their faith! I am in 1 Timothy Chapter 1 today, 2 big things stand out! Hope this is encouraging to you!

  • (019) Death is so final

    09/04/2018 Duración: 06min

Okay, dogs are obviously better than cats, lol! I talk about death as we have recently experienced it. We have, unfortunately, just needed to lay our family dog down due to health issues. So mortality is fresh on our minds. Scripture speaks about laying our life down, being dead to our old selves (with its sin) and turning toward God. This life living for God is only possible through Jesus! For what it's worth, these are my thoughts on Romans Chapter 6.

  • (018) Experiencing Joy and Peace, like a BOSS!

    08/04/2018 Duración: 04min

Let's face the facts, God is the source of all peace and joy. When we are connected to the source, our circumstances will start to make no impact on our peace and joy in our life. Get connected! Experience God's peace and joy in abundance! For what it's worth, these are my thoughts on Romans Chapter 5.

  • (017) First Job and Wages

    07/04/2018 Duración: 05min

What we have earned vs. what we have been given is a powerful reminder of God's graciousness and love towards us. Let us not forget what we have earned or may we undermind the gift that has been given. For what it's worth, these are my thoughts on Romans.

  • (016) You are using it wrong

    06/04/2018 Duración: 04min

What do you do when you believed the wrong thing your whole life then realize it? Romans 3:20 "Therefore no one will be declared righteous in His sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin." Truth bomb from the apostle Paul, reading the bible and trying to earn your righteousness by doing a bunch of good things will not work out for you. Get with the program, Jesus came to die for your sins, that is the only way for atonement to happen for you. More in this podcast on my thoughts...

  • (015) When Knowledge Becomes Worthless

    05/04/2018 Duración: 05min

It's not about how much you know, it's more about what you DO with what you know. God cares more about our actions than our knowledge. Knowledge does not show faith, action does. Romans 2:13 "For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous." Our salvation comes through faith alone. Action is a byproduct of faith, if you claim to have faith but your life is no different (no action), it would be fair to question your faith, would it not?

  • (014) Don't Judge Me

    04/04/2018 Duración: 04min

Why do I care at all what other's think of me? Do people judge me? I get that feeling all the time, I already know (before I even tell some people in my life) when I do something that others would think is a bad decision. Everybody has an opinion, I cannot control that. I can control, however, how I look and think of others Romans 2:1 "You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself..." Let's use scripture as it was intended, a mirror for ourselves to find flaws, not as a magnifine glass to see other's flaws.

  • (013) Throw it in the Bushes

    03/04/2018 Duración: 03min

Still in Romans 1 today. Do not be ashamed of the Gospel. I feel like I want to live a life free of any shame, especially of the Gospel. I remind myself that it is not my job to convince anyone, I just need to be able to articulate my faith clearly. Scripture seems clear that most people will not believe in Jesus.

  • (012) Routine - faith killer?

    02/04/2018 Duración: 03min

Started reading in Romans after Easter, Chapter 1 is packed full of goodies. Obedience comes through faith! That hit me today, faith is trust, specifically in something you cannot see. As I get older I feel like life goes by faster, I think a big part of that is due to routine. We get our life in a rut, do the same things everyday over and over. I think that can be a faith killer. You start to have less to trust when you do things you have already done before, speak to the people you have relationships already, talk about the things that you usually talk about, etc. Let's be open to what God has for us today, be aware of your routine and be open to change it. Let God work through you, ask Him to let you see what He sees today and see if you notice anything different that can change your routine.

  • (011) Easter Suicide

    01/04/2018 Duración: 05min

The impact that Judas could have had if he would have been the example of redemption that he could have been. The apostle Paul showed us God's redemptive power...

  • (010) God's Got This

    31/03/2018 Duración: 06min

I am constantly reminded of how God does things with purpose...
