    Last month, Lindy West joined Papercuts for an event for the paperback release of SHRILL, her book of essays about the making of a funny feminist, coming of age in a culture that’s hostile to women, especially fat women. It was wonderful to have Lindy join us with 450 fans at the First Church JP in April. But before her event, Lindy discussed reproductive rights and her project Shout Your Abortion with Carol Sanger, author of ABOUT ABORTION. She is a recipient of the Pushcart Prize, and her debut novel, Everything I Never Told You, was a New York Times bestseller, a New York Times Noteble Book of 2014, and was named Amazon's #1 Best Book of 2014.  Joan Wickersham's fiction and essays have appeared in OneStory, Ploughshares, Agni,  The Best American Short Stories, The Best American Nonrequired Reading, and more.     On Saturday, February 28th, Papercuts J.P. hosted academics Jabari Asim and Emmett G. Price III in a conversation on contemporary Black American issues to close Black History Month. He is the author of children's books, short stories, and non-fiction books The N Word and What Obama Means. His first novel, Only the Strong will be published this spring 2015. Emmett G.
