    Language Warriors: Growing at-risk languages Ojibwe and Yiddish, hosted by Miriam-Rachel Oxenhandler Newman with guests Dr. Anton Treuer, Meyer Weinshel and Marcie Rendon. Dr. Treuer is Professor of Ojibwe at Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minnesota. He is the author of 19 books, and editor of Oshkaabewis  Native Journal, the only academic journal of the Ojibwe language. His work has been recognized with numerous awards and fellowships including National Endowment for the Humanities, Bush Foundation, National Science Foundation and others. Meyer Weinshel is a Ph.D. candidate at University of Minnesota in the Department of German, Nordic, Slavic and Dutch. His dissertation examines how German-language poetry in Yiddish translation affected Jewish culture. He is also actively involved in Yiddish language pedagogy. Marcie Rendon is an author playwright, poet and novelist who is an enrolled member of the White Earth Anishinabe Nation. She has published four non-fiction children’s books, and an award-wi
