In Nehemiah 4, we meet those opposed to rebuilding the walls. Opposition comes from within and without. Are you in a battle for the Lord, yet facing stern opposition? Need some encouragement?

Nehemiah 3 contains a long list of names of those who helped build the wall. Most helped but some refused. Are you a team player?

Today, we begin the Book of Nehemiah. Let’s look for a God who hears prayer. A God who works through and around powerful leaders to accomplish His purpose.

In Nehemiah 2, Nehemiah takes a risk. Are you a risk taker? Do you take bold risks, or prayerful risks?

In Nehemiah 5, Nehemiah faces more challenges: abuse and injustice. How do you respond to abuse and injustice? Do you talk to yourself? Nehemiah did.

In Nehemiah 6, Nehemiah faces more enemies, but he refrains from becoming distracted. Does opposition distract you? Do you need some help dealing with enemies?

Ezra 10 is the final chapter of the Book of Ezra. Ezra takes a stand. People see his commitment and follow his lead. As you lead, do people willingly follow? Are you contagious?

Today, we are in the second to the last chapter of the Book of Ezra, chapter 9. The last leadership principle, operate in obedience, is in this chapter. Do you compromise God’s instructions, or do you do your best to obey? Are you an obedient leader?

There are three leadership principles in Ezra 8. Operate with God’s protection, operate with delegation, and operate with good records. Do you practice all three in your life? Which one is a strength? Which one is a weakness?

Ezra 7 contains leadership principle number eight, operate with God’s preparation. Regardless of your past life experiences, good or bad, God can use them in your future. Has He prepared you for something exciting?

Today, we cross over the halfway point of the Book of Ezra. We are in chapter 6 of ten chapters of the Book of Ezra. We will discover another leadership principle, celebrate wins. Have you been winning or losing lately? When God permits a win in your life, do you celebrate?

In Ezra 5, we will be considering leadership principle number six from the Book of Ezra, operate with help from your friends. Who are your friends? Can you rely on their advice when you are in a battle?

In Ezra 4, we will look at two more leadership principles from the Book of Ezra, operate with God’s provision and operate despite the enemy. From where does your provision come from? Do you take credit or give God the glory? Who are your enemies? Are they inside or outside your camp? Are they winning?

In Ezra 3, we will consider the third leadership principle of our Twelve Practical Principles of Leadership from the Book of Ezra, operate with priorities. What is the most important thing, or who is the most important person, in your life? Do you spend the most time on it, or with that person? Are you living according to your priorities?

In Ezra 2, we will uncover leadership principle number two, operate with God’s chosen helpers. Who is in your inner circle? Who has influence over you? Are they godly?

In the Book of Ezra, I found twelve practical principles of leadership the priests followed to lead a nation back to God’s Word. Understanding and practicing those leadership principles will help you in your career, with your family, and in your private life. We will look at these twelve practical principles of leadership throughout the Book of Ezra.

Today, we conclude our walk through the Book of Judges. We have reached Judges 21, the last chapter. Israel has gone downhill politically, morally, spiritually. Did you start your Christian journey strong in the Lord? Have you maintained your pace, or have you fallen spiritually?

We are closing in on the end of the Book of Judges, only two chapters to go. People look to God again; about time. Is it about time for you to look to God again too?

The 19th chapter of the Book of Judges continues the moral decline of Israel. Sexual immorality is a major part of the moral decline, then and now. How pure is your sex life?

Judges 18 is our passage today, filled with idols and idolatry. Do you have idols in your life? Are they keeping you from the one true God?
