  • Will We Ever See Another Leicester? | The People's Poll ep. 161 | Planet FPL 2025/26

    14/10/2025 Duración: 46min

David & James Pod in search of answering whether anyone can ever repeat Leicester City's remarkable success when they won the Premier League ten seasons ago in the 2015/16 season? There's reflection of Leicester's title success and memories from it and reasons behind their successes, including their style and some of the statistics behind the triumph. Could it ever happen again? If a Bournemouth or Crystal Palace won the title now could it be compared? Was Nottingham Forest's run last season as close as we may see to a stylistic comparison? How might winning the title be achieved by an 'outsider?' And even if it is, can it ever compare to what Leicester did? • A Defensive Conclusion | Planet FPL S. 9 Ep. 18 | Fantasy Premier League

    13/10/2025 Duración: 01h27min

Suj and James take the opportunity of the second International break to discuss learnings from the small sample of data learnings from the season so far with conversation featuring DEFCONs, talismen, over and underperformers. Defensive contributions (DEFCONs) is still in its infancy of many FPL managers mind and there's a look at teams DEFCONs accumulations for and against plus discussion on best individuals so far and moving forward. There's also a specific focus on clearances achieved as a strong metric to consider when looking for defenders who may achieve DEFCON and there's spmething very interesting in individuals year on year comparison. Plus, the search for talismen is on, though currently they appear hard to find as many attacking assets have frustrated so far. There's also a look at those who have over and underperformed in front of goal so far and a look at the next five fixtures for those who may want to Wildcard now... and there's also a look at GWs 13-17 for those who are holding on for later.

  • Brighton v Newcastle | CotC with Sam Murray & Simon Bibby | Planet FPL 2025/26

    08/10/2025 Duración: 54min

On Clash of the Correspondents, James is joined by Brighton fan Sam Murray and Newcastle fan Simon Bibby to discuss the latest at their clubs and all the FPL assets from both ahead of their GW8 meeting at The Amex. Brighton remain very Jekyll and Hyde, two wins from seven, and WITH those victories coming against Chelsea and Manchester City seems to sum up where The Seagulls are at. Can they find consistency ahead of a fixture turn that may appeal to Fantasy managers? But can anything be sought bar Yankuba Minteh? Newcastle will also appeal to Fantasy managers, a good long-term run of fixtures has begun for them, the defensive numbers are good and some tough games are out of the way. Dan Burn, Anthony Gordon and Nick Woltemade all feature prominently in the discussion. And so too does the already seismic differences in terms of Fantasy returns for the two goalkeepers. • Sem Kud've Done Better | Planet FPL S. 9 Ep. 17 | GW7 Review | Fantasy Premier League

    06/10/2025 Duración: 01h49min

It was a week that begun with Antoine Semenyo hauling again and finished with another goal for Erling Haaland, but the final card for many reads could've done better and that's the case for both Suj and James on the Gameweek 7 Review. Liverpool lost again with another blank for Mohamed Salah in their late defeat at Chelsea which means Arsenal, victors against Suj's West Ham, are now top, but it was a disappointing day for Viktor Gyokeres owners. James' Tottenham are now third but the result was again better than the display in victory at Leeds where Mohammed Kudus starred and returned well. All the games reviewed with eyes on moves for after the International break. Who's on radar? Who's for the chop? And there's a warning that a number of FPL forwards may be about to do well in forthcoming weeks. • Gift Of The Gab | Planet FPL S. 9 Ep. 16 | GW6 Review | Fantasy Premier League

    29/09/2025 Duración: 02h06min

Suj and James review the weekend of Gameweek 6 where many who Wildcarded and those who used the Triple Captaincy had success... spare a thought for those who don't own Erling Haaland... because it was another week where for many returns were difficult to come by. All the games discussed, including Arsenal's late and deserved win at Newcastle and it's Gunners assets who are likely to be a priority for many FPL managers this week as they prepare to host West Ham United, now managed by Nuno Espirito Santo. Crystal Palace maintained their strong start with their own late victory against Liverpool, City hit five as Haaland too left it late on a weekend where nine goals were scored in added time. One of those goals was scored by Tottenham, but James was far from happy with their draw against a Wolves side who went into the weekend without a point. Chelsea were again beaten after a man was sent off and the Manchester United inquest continues after defeat at Brentford. There's also chat on the continued success

Meanwhile, Fulham have started well, they've won the last two at their only defeat, at Chelsea, was certainly controversial. Can Fulham add to Villa's woes on Sunday? Plus, do Villa assets need binning on mass, or should faith be kept in the likes of Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins for the upcoming home games against Fulham and Burnley? 23/09/2025 Duración: 01h15s

With Manchester City entering a positive swing of fixtures that begins with the visit of Burnley, Suj and James decided this would be a good time to revaluate strategy for chip usage in the first half of the season. The Podcast kicks off with discussion on if Crystal Palace's progress in the Carabao Cup could lead to blanks and doubles in December and there's an assessment of 'danger fixtures' where rotation could bite due to short turnarounds or difficult fixtures either side of 'easier' games. On the GW5 Review with Suj and James, Erling Haaland scores again and now for those not on the Manchester City forward the wave of transfers to buy him in has begun... Suj was already there, but will James continue to go against!? All the games reviewed, including Pep's City going low block as they tried to hold on at Arsenal, Liverpool won the Merseyside Derby, West Ham and Wolves were beaten again and though they didn't win James was far happier with what he saw from Tottenham at The Amex. There's a theme of enablers as those looking to get Haaland in may also need to find money, Cole Palmer's latest setback in a wild defeat for Chelsea at Old Trafford puts him in a 'no buy' territory, whilst the frustrations with Villa assets continues and there's repeated warnings about upcoming rotation.
