Don’t let Eeyore’s grumpy face fool you... this 5-year-old domestic shorthair is a total sweetheart once he warms up. He is our Pet of the Week and came to the Connecticut Humane Society from local animal control and was a bit timid at first, but now he’s showing just how much he loves people and pets. Eeyore is looking for a calm home, ideally with kids over 12, where he can take his time to adjust and settle in. While he hasn’t had much experience with other pets, he may enjoy having a furry friend. Eeyore does have some special needs, but he has so much love and companionship to offer the right family. He came to the Connecticut Humane Society from local animal control and is now ready for his forever family.  As an adult, Leo is already housebroken and even knows a few tricks. While he may be a little shy at first, once he warms up, he’s all about fun, play, and adventure. Leo thrives with other dogs and would love a canine companion, though he hasn’t had much experience with cats yet. With his big personality and high energy, Leo will do best with a family who has experience with large breeds and can give him the structure, exercise, and attention he deserves.  He’s available now at the Waterford location. This week’s Connecticut Humane Society Pet of the Week is Bosley an 8-month-old mixed breed pup with a heart full of love and energy to spare! With his striking black and brindle coat, Bosley could have a mix of lab, shepherd, or pit bull in him, but what we do know for sure is that he’s 100% adorable. Bosley came to the Connecticut Humane Society after his previous family could no longer care for him, and now he’s looking for a new start. He’s a sweet, playful dog who loves to be active. Since he’s still young and growing, Bosley needs a family with adults or teens who can keep up with his energy, continue his training, and give him the exercise and enrichment he thrives on. If you’re ready for long walks, playtime, and lots of puppy love, Bosley may just be the perfect match. He’s available at the Connecticut Humane Society’s Waterford location. This week’s Pet of the Week is Finn! A 2-year-old cat with a soft personality and a big heart. Finn may be reserved at first, but once he feels safe, he’s sweet, loyal, and loving. He’s hoping for a calm home with adults who understand shy cats and can give him the time he needs to adjust. While he hasn’t had much experience with other pets, he’s open to the idea of sharing his new home with the right furry friend. Finn does have some special needs, but he has so much life and love to give. His perfect family will be patient, kind, and ready to help him thrive. Say hello to Indigo, our Connecticut Humane Society Per of the Week! He is a 9-year-old domestic shorthair with striking looks, a sweet personality, and a little extra “fluff” at 18 pounds.  Indigo is searching for a calm, adult (or older teen) household where he can be the only pet and soak up all the love. He’s a cuddly companion who enjoys eating, sleeping, and getting attention, though sometimes he gets a bit overstimulated and appreciates a little “me time.” One of Indigo’s goals for his new home? Shedding a few pounds with the help of a healthier diet and some fun playtime! His new family will not only gain a loving friend but also help him feel his best.
