Tamuka (Shona language, Zimbabwe): we have arisen/woken up from sleep or slumber.

Sankofa (Twi language, Ghana): The Sankofa symbolises the Akan peoples quest for knowledge, with the implication that the quest is based on critical examination, and intelligent and patient investigation.
