Michael Breece takes over preaching duties as he unfolds the beauty of the Gospel from Romans 9.

Perhaps those who are best able to attest to the truth of God's Word, especially certain promises, are those who are living out those truths in their life. This week Greg Shipley teaches from Romans 8 and spends extra time with verse 28, "all things work together for good." His sermon is especially powerful as he applies the passage to the life of his own family as they face grave health concerns.

In our study of Romans this week, Greg Shipley does an excellent job of explaining the saving nature of our faith. In particular, he takes a detailed look at the faith of Abraham and all of it's imperfections and explains why it was still "reckoned unto him as righteous."

Our youth ministry wrapped up summer camp this week and brought Freddie Coile home with them to serve as our guest speaker. Freddie, a gifted evangelist, has been ministering to Crossing for over 20 years. Everywhere he speaks, he has one message: Have you trusted Christ? This week he shares the wonderful news of God's gift of salvation and how every man, woman and child can experience it!

This week in our summer series on Romans, our teacher, Greg Shipley, teaches from Romans 2-3 showing us how Scripture teaches no man is righteous and is only justified by faith.

This week we had nearly 100 CEF staff & students with us in our service. Pastor Tim took the opportunity to encourage them as well as our church about the importance of children's ministry and the far reaching impact of the gospel.

This week in our study of the prayer life of Paul, we look at Paul's prayers in Ephesians 1 & 3 which touch on the "surpassing greatness of God's power."

When we pray who are we praying to? Many of us begin our prayers by saying, "Our heavenly Father." Do we really think of what that means. This week Pastor Tim shares how adopting his own two children teaches us about the great, unmatchable love God has for you and I that makes Him a great Father -- one that we can pray to with confidence.

This week we began a new sermon series focusing on the prayer life of the Apostle Paul. We focused on the four major themes of his prayers and compared our prayer life to them. How similar or different are the things we pray for to what Paul prayed for?

"Have I not told you" -- a phrase God used as He reminded Joshua to be courageous and put away all doubt or fear. Time and again, God has promised His abiding presence with us in any and all circumstances!

"Thy Word is a lamp unto my . . . voting choices." Our lives should match up with the principles of God's Word. We should think, speak, act -- and vote in accordance with God's standards. This week we take a look at a few of the principles we can use to guide us as we decide how to cast our votes.

There is no perfect political candidate. There's only Jesus.

Final words are important. They are rarely impromptu or random. Instead they are intentional and have great purpose. What were the final words of the risen Savior? Surely they must have been important. This week our sermon explores Christ's final words and their importance to His followers.

What if we changed the end of some of our most beloved stories? What if Snow White was never kissed by the prince? What if Jesus never rose from the dead? Jesus triumphed over death when everyone thought the story was over. Praise God it wasn't! Overcoming death means our faith in God is not in vain!

He was one man on a donkey riding into a city for a religious celebration. What was it about that day that makes it worthy of remembering over 2000 years later? It was the willing arrival of Jesus not to celebrate the Passover lamb . . to to become the Passover Lamb!
