In the parable of the Rich Fool Christ challenges the greedy heart to consider that riches on Earth can't compare to riches in Heaven.

Our guest speaker today was Ari Hauben of Chosen People Ministries. The sermon begins with a video of Ari's story of finding the Messiah in Jesus. He tells his story of how the message of atonement took on new meaning when he learned that Jesus was "The Lamb of God" that took away the sins of the world -- that Jesus was "The" Passover Lamb of annual Passover celebration.

The "Lost" parable communicates the grace of God in a beautiful way. None of the characters in the story -- the sheep, the coin, the younger son and the older son -- deserved what they received. But God gives not because of merit but because of deep abiding love.

The key to great love is understanding the great forgiveness we've received. The parable of the two debtors is a beautiful example of gratitude and worship.

Jesus, the master teacher, taught service and sacrifice to his disciples. Paul wrote about his example -- an example highlighted on the cross.

This week we follow up from our Winter Bible Conference asking the question, "If I'm sent, what do I do when I get there?" Pastor Tim suggests three things to focus on in our daily life.

In our Sunday morning session of the 2016 Winter Bible Conference, Bob Borcherdt challenged us to consider our walk with God and the submission that should be our reality when we refer to Jesus as our Savior, King and Lord.

Our guest speaker for the 2016 Winter Bible Conference was Bob Borcherdt. Bob's passion for taking our faith to the marketplace is a perfect fit with Crossing's value of being a 'sent people.' Among many great points in this session Bob speaks about challenging the mental maps in our thinking that keep us in captivity in our thinking and limits us from seeing the full story line of the Bible. He also introduced us to the Hebrew word "avodah" which is used for work and worship. eployment and where the word 'worship' comes from and it's relationship to the word 'work.'

In the second session of the 2016 Winter Bible Conference, Bob Borcherdt highlights the importance Christ gave to the Kingdom of God in his teaching referring to it more than 160 times. He also challenged us to consider the difference between deployment and employment, asking us who do we work for.

Each person in your life right now is someone God has put there for eternal purposes. God is so intentional! In addition to living as 'sent' people, Pastor Tim also speaks about how resolving conflict with each other is attractive to a watching world.

There are many things in this life that get in the way of following Christ. Pastor Tim uses a bag full of objects to illustrate how easily we are distracted from a wholehearted pursuit of Jesus.

Bob Beck is the founder of House of Adonai, a faith-based recovery house in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. Today we were blessed to have him share how God changed his life and turned him from chasing an addiction to following Jesus.

Today, Dr. Michael Breece speaks from Ephesians 2 on our identity in Christ -- what it should look like and the influences that pull us away from fully embracing "Christ in us."

A clear and concise gospel explanation is absolutely necessary. But a lifestyle that backs up that gospel message is necessary as well!

The letter to the Colossians has been theological in nature in chapters one and two. But chapter three turns the corner and we find ourselves with some very specific practical instruction on living out our 'completeness in Christ.' And it's all about relationships!

Complete in Christ. How is that possible? What does it mean? What does it accomplish?

Were have we come from and were are we going was the theme of our service today in preparation for the annual Members Meeting. We continue to build momentum for becoming an "equipping church" as we begin to close 2015 and look for new things in 2016.

In our relationship with Christ we bring nothing, He brings everything! It is being "in Him" and "with Him" that we gain all that we need. We are made complete in Him!

"In Jesus all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form" Colossians 2:9. All of God in Jesus! But the battle to diminish that truth has been going on for thousands of years and it is still being waged today!

How do we know truth when we hear it? What is the standard by which we should live? Our culture is redefining truth. Changing truth because it is uncomfortable doesn't change truth, only our relationship to the truth.
