  • Fixing Joe EP 9: With Joe Derosa

  • Ep. 741: Comical Radio- The French Invasion

    27/01/2011 Duración: 01h39min

Yo, Hammer! Jim Breuer called in with some depressing news about fame: once you get on Saturday Night Live, it only gets worse. You start off feeling like you've made it in show business, you star in a cult classic with Dave Chappelle, then the improvisers don't want to talk to you and you end up at home podcasting from your basement while your dad dies a slow death upstairs and your mom patiently waits four days for a haircut. Over 1 Million copies sold! Comical Radio dared Jesse Joyce to go platinum with his new album "Pro Joyce." Check out the streets of Times Square for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see Jesse harassing tourists to "Check it out check it out! Buy my CD!"  Joyce recalls Comical Radio's interview with Greg Giraldo, and cites it as evidence that Kasten does not understand addiction at all, and that Kasten is probably already an addict. Chris Iacono threatens to go seventh grade on him and tell his parents.  France's most famous comedian Samy Ameziane came into the studio and brought French

  • Ep. 738: Crazy On Board

    27/01/2011 Duración: 01h36min

Things get tense this episode of Danny Lobell and the Crew when pent-up frustrations are released: Danny doesn't want Chris to reproduce (yet), Chris wants more off-time to advance his comedy career, Myka wants everyone to shut the fuck up, and Dave probably still just wants some heroin. Danny gives buddy T.J. Del Reno a ring to inquire about the egregious pit of college debt he has dug for himself. *Spoiler: it's more money than he has. The gang get some perspective on their financial woes, but like all comedians, they'll keep complaining. At the end of the day though, all everyone wants to do is produce the best darned radio show possible. Also, everyone agrees that outsourcing work to foreign laborers is the best idea ever. Tune in next time for Danny Lobell and the Crew, now broadcasting out of sunny New Delhi.

  • Ep 737 Part B: CR Classic- Here He Comes to Save the Day: The Mighty Male Stripper is On The Way

    15/01/2011 Duración: 01h26min

Starting off part two of Comical Radio Classic was Bobby Slayton, who unexpectedly showed up, guns blazing, ready to insult everybody. Business as usual for the least adorable 'pit bull' there ever was. If you don't understand the reference, just Bing it! Just kidding. Who uses that, anyway??? Following Bobby's tirade was a calm, cool, and collected call-in from Bob Zmuda, Andy Kaufman's co-conspirator and creator of Comic Relief. Zmuda "Revealed!" (another reference, sorry, I'll stop) that he wanted Nicolas Cage to play his best friend in "Man on the Moon." Mr. Ghost Rider himself! Jim Carrey snatched the role, however, after a genius audition tape. Zmuda also talked with the crew about Mr. X, a screenwriter mentioned in the Kaufman book who would make people do crazy things for money. The revelation was slightly underwhelming, considering that it was actually divulged 11 years ago. Man, where have we been? On the moon? The multitalented Dante Nero stopped by, and the gang chatted with him about his numero

  • Ep. 737 Part A: -CR Classic -Strokes and Jokes

    15/01/2011 Duración: 01h28min

Adding fuel to the fire of the last episode, Danny brings in close friend and recovering heroin addict George in an attempt to get Kasten to lay off the smack. George tells tales of being incarcerated, stealing bikes to avoid $2 fares and finally recovering after a long uphill battle. The Battle for Kasten’s sobriety will continue until the hosts finally win.   Late bloomer stand-up comedian John Kawie is alive and kicking after suffering a stroke that couldn’t keep him down. He sufficiently scared hypochondriacs Myka and Danny after talking about how sudden his stroke came on. To make the conversation even lighter, the hosts reminisced about a dead comedy club booker with Kawie. Let's just say this interview was a little on the morbid side.   Dan Fishback, a gay and Jewish musician/motivational speaker/life coach attempts to set the crew straight and make their lives all a bit easier. He was the first person in Comical Radio history to agree that living in your grandmother’s basement is a-okay. Chris was fin

  • Ep 8:-Fixing Joe- with Ted Alexandro, Tom Comer, and Joe's Dad

    14/01/2011 Duración: 01h14min

Suburbs or the city? Joe misses the comedian friends he had in NYC and the guys he grew up with in Cherry Hill, NJ. Is that what growing up is all about? Why does the wife decide where we raise the family? Joe's guests, comedian Ted Alexandro, Tom Comer, and Joe's Dad.

  • Ep. 737 C: Comical Radio-The Needle and the Damage Done

    10/01/2011 Duración: 01h05min

Danny and Chris talk to Dave about his ongoing dabbling in heroin. They also try to get to the root of why Dave is the way he is. Blame America! Speaking of Roots, a kindly old black man visits the show in the form of an impression Danny drunkenly performed on New Year’s Eve. Mmmmm… pork ribs. And we learn about Morocco and how to treat all of your wives equally.. just kidding. Jew wives are double points. DRUGS! STEREOTYPES! ISLAM! They’re all here on Monday’s episode of Danny Lobell and the Crew. Be sure to check out our next episode on Friday!

  • Ep. 736: Comical Radio- We are the Wu-Tang

    07/01/2011 Duración: 01h43min

WE ARE THE WU TANG First show back in the new year and Comical Radio gets blessed by comedian/TV star/movie star LARRY MILLER. Miller bestowed Danny, Myka, and Chris with a comedy diploma and told them they are the Wu Tang Clan. Even Larry Miller is down with the Wu. College Humor's H. CALDWELL TANNER came in and tore the page off Comical Radio's "Days Since Making A Nazi Joke" calendar. He will draw black Hitlers on request. Musical Duo STUCKEY AND MURRAY came in and settled the score... they are not nearly as jealous of Flight of the Concords as Danny is of Marc Maron's WTF.  Does this smell like chloroform? MARGARET CHO called in and revealed the only two rules to being an Asian comedian: Rule #1: Do impressions of your mother Rule #2: Talk about fish And that was the show. New episode coming Monday. Visit the forums in the meantime.

  • Fixing Joe Ep 7: Kyle Grooms and Scott Papacuri

    06/01/2011 Duración: 01h01min

Joe loses his cool while watching the Eagles vs. Giants game. Guess we can't call him Joe Cool no' mo'! Cursing at the TV sets off Joe's wife. Hey, he's only heckling the TV! It's what he does!    Does cursing at the screen during a game you love make Joe a bad father or a really cool dad? According to Joe's brother, he's just like their dad. Comedian Kyle Grooms said his grandfather taught him to be a man. Oddly enough, Kyle gave both Joe and Barack Obama some valuable advice. Also weighing in is comedian Scott Papacuri, who tries to make sense of this outburst.    Hopefully the Eagles don't screw up this season. Joe's sanity is on the line.

  • Ep. 735: Comical Radio: Lesbians and Lemonade

    23/12/2010 Duración: 01h23min

EMMA WILLMANN is a lesbian, even though she could pass as straight. Emma insists she barely talks about being a lesbian on stage or talks to other gay people offstage. She and gay celebrity JASON STUART had a nice convo about gay shit before Jason turned his attention to convincing David Kasten to sleep in his office in LA. Finally, KEVIN ALLISON chose Comical Radio as the last place he wanted to see alive. Then he dove headfirst into a vat of pancakes and lemonade. That man will RISK anything to lose a few pounds.

  • Ep. 734: Comical Radio- Characters and Cars

    23/12/2010 Duración: 58min

ALONZO BODDEN returns two years after Danny Lobell made a mess of hosting Bodden's weekend at Governor's Comedy Club. No hard feelings, even though now Bodden cannot afford to buy a $250,000 Lamborghini.  Keep an eye out for Bodden's 2011 Showtime special where he will break down the news from six months ago.VICTOR CRUZ, the man of many characters and more excuses not to do standup comedy, came and got stuffed down Pedophile Santa's sack, berated Chris Iacono's corporate gig, and made Myka Fox cry at Bill Cosby's restaurant on her first date post-relationship.

  • Fixing Joe Ep 6: Jesse Joyce

    23/12/2010 Duración: 47min

Looks like Joe is back to his normal nervous self. Joe's anxiety about flying, being on a cruise ship, and going to comedian Christmas parties is off the charts this week. Mama Matarese calls in to talk about rushing Joe to the pediatrician after his first pot-induced anxiety attack at a wee young age. She suggested a little Rocky 2 therapy for Joe on cruise ship gigs (cue that corny theme, picture Joe running up the Philadelphia Museum's stairs and conquering his anxieties, oh forget it). Comedian Jesse Joyce joined Joe in the studio for this episode. Can advice from his fellow comedian and a little motherly love fix Joe's latest fears? Find out by tuning in.

  • Fixing Joe Ep 5: Lee Camp & Dr. Matt Bellace

    20/12/2010 Duración: 01h30min

This week, Joe is still struggling. It's a constant struggle with this guy! But at least Joe isn't so much of a Debbie Downer today. Or a Negative Nancy for that matter. The big questions for this episode are: How much money is too much money to invest in his career? Should Joe hire a personal assistant? Is there a place Joe can hire a nerd squad to take his career to that next level? Would this make family life more enjoyable? Is this blog Socratic or what? Joe's guest for episode five are psychologist Dr. Matt Bellace and Comedian Lee Camp.

  • Ep. 732: Comical Radio- Win a date with Myka Fox!

    20/12/2010 Duración: 37min

Win a date with Myka Fox! To qualify, contestants had to meet these requirements: -Be a newly released jailbird homosexual who ties up tiny Malaysian boys in basements -Have fifty years experience pronouncing your own name incorrectly and lisping racial slurs Comedian and tough guy homo gambler Bobby Haha and 30 Rock extra Gawy competed for the false promise of a date with Myka. While Chris and Kasten asked and judged a series of tough questions, Myka stared dreamily at the hot 15 year old drummer from Moon Hooch who was waiting in the corner of the studio to perform. Moon Hooch.  Two saxaphones, one drum kit, a ton of great noise. Hater David Kasten voted them best band ever to play on Comical, they were immediately invited to perform on the Comical Radio's upcoming Night Of Fun.  If you are in NY, Come see Joe Garden (The Onion), Liam McEneany (Comedy Central, Tell Your Friends), Rick Cusick (High Times Mag) Patrick and Dennis Carlin (Brother and Nephew of the late great George Carlin, respectively), and

  • Ep. 731: Comical Radio- Legends, Founders, and Originals

    19/12/2010 Duración: 01h20min

Comedy Legend (or "Main Man" to make him feel less old), Dom Irrera floated into the studio on a cloud of xanax, popped some fresh scrips with Chris Iacono and Myka Fox, and waxed philosophical about his love for The Beatles, his hatred of Michael Jordan, and the extreme insecurity of fellow comedian Bobby "the pitbull" Slayton. As soon as Irrera explained what a great friend Charles Barkley is, David Kasten announced he was a jerk. And the winner for best weed goes to.... CHEM DOG! High Times co-founder Rick Cusick spent the last fourteen months sobering up to share tales about his ultimate pot-jam bus ride with Willie Nelson.  Cusick also sends this message: "Hey potheads, Obama's our friend, join NORML, and daddy doesn't smoke weed anymore, honey." Kenny Kramer lit up the room LED style and gave everyone the reality tour behind the real Kramer from Seinfeld. When he's not selling merch for Curb, hes maxing oceanside in Los Cabos. Fascinating dude and less racist than Michael Richards, its a good thing Da

  • Ep. 729: Comical Radio- Charlie Murphy in the studio

    11/12/2010 Duración: 01h14min

Another one of Comical Radio's hosts is single again, and this time it isn't Iacono. That's right folks, our very own Myka Fox is available and playing the field. Keep your eye out for her all alone at the end of seedy bar during happy hour drinking white wine by herself and making up illnesses.  On a weirder note Gawy called in and Chris abruptly questioned his poetry publishing credentials. The show wrapped up with a special guest visit from the one and only Charlie Murphy. He filled the crew in on some lesser known facts about his act and life, and the best ways to handle a rowdy college crowd.

  • Fixing Joe Ep 4: Ralphie May

    10/12/2010 Duración: 01h12min

Career and family, a balancing act as old as civilization. Where does one start and the other begin? Does the traveling comedian have time for both? Could a 2nd child hold  union together or tear it apart? And WHERE THE FUCK is Marc Maron? It's all good, we got a last minute replacement plus a few lbs as a kicker. Ralphie May was nice enough to donate his morning to the show, complete with his own screaming child background music. May is a father of 2 himself and talks about how it affects his and wife's respective careers. Let's just say that making some dough through said career helps the family life thus presenting a comedic catch 22. Seriously life, what the fuck?
