Micah 6:6-8 "Living Out Justice" is a message I've (Terry) been working on since June, as I've been trying to understand both what the Lord has been teaching me, and what He wants to teach you. You would be welcome to read Micah 6:6-8; it would be great if you read the entire book of Micah!

Luke 10:25-37 “Loving The Lord, And Our Neighbours”… We’ve been exploring this idea of “home”, and specifically, what does Father God expect of us, now that we’ve returned to His embrace. We’re reviewing some well known passages of scripture, but you may be surprised how God speaks through them.

Acts 2:42-48 “Living With Dad”… what’s it mean to “come home”, and how do we live in the loving home of our heavenly Father? We’ll be in Acts 2:42-48 this Sunday, as we continue in our “Welcome Home …a place to belong” teaching series.

We welcome Cavin Harper with us this Sunday. Cavin is the Founder and Executive Director of the Christian Grandparenting Network. Cavin is also the feature speaker at this weekend’s Courageous Grandparenting Conference at First Alliance Church. We’re delighted to have him join us and bring a word of encouragement to us.

Romans 5, John 5, John 14 We have so much to be grateful for! We’re beginning a new teaching series this Sunday, which will carry us until we begin our Advent series (“Getting a Handel on the Messiah”). This week we begin “Welcome Home …a place to belong” and we will examine the idea of home from a biblical perspective. If you’d like to read a little in advance, open up Romans 5:12, John 5:22-24 & John 14:1-3.

Acts 13:1-4 We closed our “Week of Worship” with a commissioning to our mission to Okotoks and the world. Dr. Gordon T. Smith (President of Ambrose University) opened scripture for us (Acts 13:1-4) with a sermon he calling “What On Earth Is the Spirit Doing?”

We had a wonderful celebration of the culmination of our renovation and expansion of our facility, and all that God will be doing in our community in the future.

Genesis 4 This Sunday, Lord willing, our final service at Edison School. I will be teaching out of Genesis 4.

Genesis 3 Why is life so difficult, and our work so hard? And how do we steward our responsibilities before God “this side” of Genesis chapter 3 and the fall of man? We’ve been focusing on “the Who” and “the why” of creation, in Genesis 1 & 2, as we explore what it means for us to belong. We’re anticipating “going home” to our new sanctuary, and our expanded ministry capacity. But what does it mean for US to belong, and how do we effectively invite new-would-be-worshippers to belong with us? If you want to read Genesis 3 in advance, it will be worth your while.

We're meeting Sunday's @ 9:30 AM at Edison School, 2 doors north of our church campus. But, on Sunday September 29 we will return home to our new worship sanctuary. This dedication service will take place at 10 am

Genesis 2:18 God declared “it is not good for the man to be alone”. God exists in community, and we long to join Him, together. Adam & Eve, though made expressly for one another, found themselves estranged from one another and God. Humanity has been trying to bridge the gap ever since. Will you embrace the gift of belonging here, with us?

Genesis 1-3 This Sunday I will begin the teaching series that will take us into the fall … “A Place To Belong”. What is it that we are building, and how do we become the people God intends us to be? I’m excited about this series, predominantly drawn out of Genesis 1-3. And I’m looking forward to sharing what God has been showing me.

Matthew 18:15-20 This Sunday, Helen Packard (YWAM Director, Teacher, and member of our OAC family) brings God's Word from Matthew 18:15-20, “Dealing With Sin in the Church”. We’re continuing to follow Jesus and His disciples as they turn and begin the journey towards Jerusalem. Our hope is that you will travel with Jesus this summer, wherever that might lead you. Summer Preachers, in addition to Lead Pastor Terry Lee, will include (in alphabetical order) Kevin McCubbin, Helen Packard, Michael Packard, Trisha Palmer, Craig Somerville & Colin Toffelmire. I hope you’ll plan to be with us throughout the summer!
