Matthew 3:10-17 Is Jesus qualified to meet your greatest need? How would we be certain of this? This Sunday we’re continuing in our “Your Greatest Need” sermon series, looking at the baptism of Jesus in Matthew 3:10-17.

1 Corinthians 15 & Matthew 1:1 If the church is to be about Jesus, maybe we should be clear on what the Gospel (Good News) about Him is? For instance, why are there 4 gospels, if there is only one gospel? I want to invite you into a season of listening to the words of Jesus.

Deuteronomy 31:1-2 & Deuteronomy 34. We’re considering the question of disappointment this Sunday. What do we do with it? Is there comfort when it comes? Where is God in this situation?

Deuteronomy 31 & 32 How do we bless the next generation? Moses was concerned about this, and I know you are too.

We are continuing in this teaching series “The Door To Blessing”. What does it mean to “live the good life”, and how do we access something that sounds so fantastic? If you get a chance, I’d encourage you to read Deuteronomy 29 & 30.

What do you really need? The 10th Commandment (5:21) warned us not to covet, and Deuteronomy 24:17ff calls for a very different orientation towards our “stuff”. How are we to read these passages as modern, western readers? What are we to make of these promised blessings and curses today?

This week we’ll start by looking at the Heart required for living on mission with Jesus.

Deuteronomy 5:20 & 24:10-22 We are praying “Thy will be done” but tend to live “earth on earth” rather than “heaven on earth”. Are we missing something? What is God’s heart for His world and what are we to do about it? This Sunday we’re looking at Deuteronomy 5:20, and 24:10-22, if you’d like to read these passages in advance.

Are there such a thing as “blockages” to prayer? How are we to understand Jesus’ words concerning forgiveness? This Sunday we’re going to wrap up our series on the Disciple’s Prayer, and you might like to read Matthew 6:5-15 again.

Luke 11:1-13 & Matthew 6:5-15 How do I pray more effectively? If this is truly foundational to a relationship with God, maybe I should keep getting better at it? This Sunday we’re looking specifically at the request side of the Disciple’s Prayer.

Psalm 139 God’s finger prints are all over every human being. As I’ve been researching this series over the past months, I’ve been impressed and encouraged. The landscape of science and philosophy is changing in our world, as the evidence points towards faith and not away from it.
