Twenty nine of the thirty eight references to 'lamb' in the New Testament are found in the book of Revelation. As we examine the purpose for this, we see that Ultimate Victory comes from Ultimate Sacrifice.

As the ultimate Passover Lamb, our King sacrificed Himself, taking our place and saving us from certain death.

The public spectacle of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem validated Him as the King of Israel despite the opposition of unbelief from Jew and Gentile alike.

David was the warrior King, but more importantly, David bowed his knee to a King...and his King was his Shepherd.

Throughout the Old Testament God presents Himself as the Shepherd of His people. In contrast to the faithful shepherding of our Heavenly Father is the failure of the earthly shepherds who 'feed themselves and take from the sheep instead of caring for the sheep. As the people of God, we have The Lord, The Shepherd the King who is for us and shepherds us.

As a conclusion to our series on Following Jesus Head First we dive into this well known, power passage from Paul. It's acts as a summary of what it means to Live Right as a follower of Jesus. We must Live Dying, Live Transfigured and Live Obsessed.

The expectation of radical transformation in the way you think, and thus believe and act, is truly possible because of the power of Jesus Christ at work in us who believe.

The Word of God empowers us to live obedient lives by illuminating the path on which we should walk. In this sermon we take a look at: the fundamentals of Scripture; how it empowers us through teaching, reproof, correcting and training in righteousness; how it continues to work in us and why it matters.

In 1 Peter 2:4-10, Peter writes about Jesus as the Cornerstone, the Living Stone that aligns the whole building and gives direction for the building. The truth is clear, each person must deal with Jesus. Either one comes to Him as the Living Stone or one stumbles over Him...there is no middle ground. He is the Cornerstone.

Jesus brings radical transformation to our thinking which profoundly and dynamically alters our relationships with others and our responses to life.

As we finish up the list of words found in Philippians 4:8, we're find the we're commanded to think on the excellent and praiseworthy; to look past all the negative in this world and see God, His Grace and His goodness in its many forms.

Our god delight in the beautify, creative and unique and our enjoyment of lovely things honors His creativity and imagination and can bring calm and focus to our hearts.

That Daniel referred to God as The Ancient of Days teaches us that God exists from infinitely before our finite beginning to the unending eternity of the future...therefore, we can trust a God in which all of human history, with its created purposes, will culminate before Him and for Him.

Christmas looks backwards, and that's good and well..but...Christmas is not just about what God has completed in the past, it is also a powerful motivation to renew our confident expectation in what He's promised to do in the future!!

He came to us!! Throughout the Scriptures the same theme persists, God comes to us. Were he to wait for us to come to him, it would be futile, for no one comes to God on their own. The Incarnation was the lofty summit of God's coming to man and we see this theme throughout the Christmas story. God Came to Us!!

As we close out the year we focus on the most common name for our God, Elohim. We study these names that we might know our God the way He wants to be known, and in knowing Him, our lives should be changed. Come learn about Elohim.

Continuing in our series on Following Jesus Head First,this message focused on thinking right about our thinking right. In it we looked at 3 things we can do to help us when difficulties come along and cause us to struggle in thinking about what is true, honorable, just, and pure (Philippians 4:8).

As we continue our study of Philippians 4:8 we come to the words Just and Pure. Thinking on what is Right and Pure is the discipline of thinking on those things that keep us in right relationship with both Man and God.
