The Word of Truth, the Gospel, is the truth of Jesus planted in our hearts… It’s not a creed, it’s a creation, It’s not a list, it’s a life, It gives birth not to dogma, but a dynamic transformed life.

Sharing in the sufferings of Christ results in lives redirected towards the will of a faithful God who guarantees our suffering is momentary and not in vain.

Following Jesus isn't a one time event the becomes a point in history. Rather it's a day-to-day, lifelong process of following hard after Him. This morning we are challenged to consider where we're living in relationship to Jesus...or as we will study...where are you sitting?

God's great purpose in all that exists is not our well being, comfort, fulfillment or even our salvation. God's great purpose is that His great name be known to all the world.

When Jesus calls Himself the Alpha and Omega, He is saying much more than that He is the beginning and end of all things. I suggest that our God is the orgin of all things real and possible, physical and spiritual, past and future…and He is the purpose of all things, the wholeness of complete fulfillment.

The announcement of the Angel to the Shepherds that 'Christ the Lord' was born in the city of David was much more than a birth announcement, it was actually it was actually the declaration of the arrival of our King God, Jesus our Savior.

God's presence guarantees our deliverance through Jesus, Immanuel, the perfect man-perfect God who has come to be with us.

Jesus is the Name above all Names; the ultimate Joshua who came to serve and save, to teach and transform…the supreme Lord of heaven and earth before whom all will bow.

With Assyria ruling the world of the Ancient Near East, exacting taxes and tribute from lesser nations and devouring rebellious ones like the nation of Israel, Isaiah's words of a coming Deliverer brought hope. The character of this Deliverer was so wonderful, so amazing, so spectacular that one name wouldn't do, that's why He came as the Deliverer with Four Names.

Because He is YHWH Jireh, His Prevision guarantees His Provision which meets even our deepest need.

The Lord has revealed two of His names to be the Lord our Sanctifier and the Lord our Righteousness. It is through Him alone that we are set apart and made acceptable through Jesus, our Robe of Righteousness.

Whether in stunning success, dismal failure or anything in between, our God wants to be known as the Lord our Battle Standard, the strength, direction and forgiver of those who claim to follow Him.

God's name, The Rock focus’ our hearts on the unchanging safety and stability we can have in the God who has saved us.

God’s faithfulness to Himself is the constant, eternal, unchanging gravity that keeps us grounded on Him. As we study the faithfulness of our God we'll find that it truly is the source of all the good we can think or do. It's all about Him and His Faithfulness to Himself.

The name Yahweh Sabaoth means, the Lord of Hosts. As we study this name of God we find that because our God is YHWH Sabaoth, we can rest secure in the fact that no power, whether natural or supernatural, human, angelic or demonic can effectively oppose Him or His plans for us.

In Genesis 16 we find the story of Abram, Sarai and Hagar and in this unlikely story we find revealed God's name of El Roi. Hagar, an Egyptian, a slave and one not looking for God was found by God, because He sees and hears all. Indeed He is El Roi, the God who Sees me.

God is Patient. All through the Scriptures we can see evidence of God holding back His anger against sin and Sinners. How thankful we must be for a God who is 'long-suffering', merciful and patient.

As we read the story of God's call to Moses, we see God's revelation of Himself as Yahweh. This is the name that He gave to Moses and the name by which He wanted His people Israel to remember Him throughout all generations. Definitely a Name we must study!

As God comes to Abraham in Genesis 17 to restate His covenant with Abraham, He identifies Himself as El Shaddai, God Almighty. Yes, our God is the God who can and will keep His promises to us. We can trust Him because he has the power to fulfill His Word every time. He is El Shaddai.
