Genesis 8 is the account of God undoing His judgment of the Flood found in chapter 7. We see that God is the only one who a reverse what He's done, all the while moving forward in history. We also find a type of Jesus in the story of Noah.

A study of Genesis 7 and the Flood of Noah, should not focus on demonstrating the factual authenticity of what happened in Noah's day but rather, how will we model Noah's faith in our day.

God preserved the memory of the Ark not as an object of curiosity and speculation, but other, that we might marvel in seeing God save and be spurred to dynamic faith.

Having started the New Year considering the significance of Walking with God, we continue this theme by considering the character we need to cultivate as we walk with Him.

Have you ever thought about the squirrels in your life? A squirrel can be anything that distracts us and takes our focus of off walking with God. We need to be careful to not let these squirrels derail us in our walk.

Having seen Enoch and Noah as we've studied through the book of Genesis, and then now at the very outset of this New Year, it is of great importance for us to consider this question: What does it mean to Walk with God? Nothing is more important as we look toward a new year than to develop a hunger for walking with God.

Often when we turn to Genesis 6 we are intrigued with the flood, but when we really study we find that Genesis 6 is as much about those whom God saves as it is about what God destroys.

As an introduction to the flood in Genesis 7, we find not a God who is angry, resentful of sin and quick to judge sin. Rather we find a God who grieves the destruction of sin, a God who feels, a God who judges and a God who gives Grace to those who walk in His ways.

Mankind was designed to live as the Image and Likeness of God, under the authority of God as the children of God, but what do we find as we turn to Genesis 6? We find that because of sin, mankind descended into a race obsessed with desire, dominance and distinction, not living like their Daddy at all.

Just as the middle section of our nation is often referred to as 'Flyover Country', so too, the genealogies of the Bible are often considered the same. We know they are there, but seldom stop to read them and meditate on what they contain. This morning we spend time in the first genealogy of the Bible, Genesis 5.

Sin is not only a great offense before God, it is also a great divider of mankind. This morning we look at Genesis 4 and see the beginning of this great rift, a rift between the those in the Way of Cain and those in the Way of Abel

What a relief to have the 2016 Presidential Election behind us. It has been an ugly campaign but as Believers, we should not be disturbed at all by the events of the election. Why? Because this nation is not our true Homeland. Hebrews 11:13-16 reminds us that future focused faith is the kind of faith that pleases God.

Sin always has consequences, it's a guaranteed part of God's plan. The consequences for Adam and Eve were great, but God's grace is always greater.

What exactly is Sin? We usually are able to respond with something pretty close to the truth but this morning we want to examine more deeply just exactly what the scriptures say about sin. Unfortunately, it's worse than we think.

In moving through Genesis 3, we see the Serpent, Satan tempt Eve and Adam to sin. While we no longer are tempted by talking animals, we must be sure to recognize that our Adversary, the Devil is still speaking to day and we must stand firm and resist him.

We can be so critical of the way churches do things today. In 2 Corinthians 4:1-6 Paul shares with us 6 guidelines for the type of church God uses. These principles also can directly apply to our lives.
