Victorious Life Christian Center - Flagstaff

This Sunday Victorious Life Christian Center and Sunshine Rescue Mission will join together with the purpose of helping each of us understand the 1000's of need met by this incredible ministry every year. Many fall upon hard times and SRM does not just offer a 'hand out' but much rather a 'hand up' that they can become 'Rescued from their current circumstane', 'Restored Too a hope they thought they had lost', and 'Reengaged Into Society once thought unable to do.' This is what Sunshine Rescue Mission is all about... so much more than 'hand out' but in the truest sense of the term, a 'hand up!'

So many choices, so many voices telling us which way to go! How do we know the right voice, the right choice, or even the right way to go? As Christians, you and I are given one of the greatest benefits this world has known, that of being able to hear God speak to us personally. Yet, we remain unsure, ‘how does He speak?’ ‘How do I listen?’ ‘Is it easy to hear God’s voice?’ The truth is, as easy as it is for us to speak to God, the average Christian has a hard time hearing His voice. God never intended it to be that way.

Pastors today face tremendous pressure to do everything but proclaim the entire counsel of God’s Word! Church growth experts tell us we must address peoples ‘felt needs’ which, at times causes compromise to our mandate as we strive to make possible what they dictate. God has called us to be ministers not minstrels! Yet many ministers today seem to promote more of a media presentation than Holy Spirit demonstration. I’ve never considered myself a great theologian, scholar, pastor or any such thing… but I have always believed myself to be an uncompromised preacher of the passion and purpose of God’s Word. Join us as we consider the difference between proclamation and performance in the message of the Cross.

One thing I know about being a dad; we are the single most important figure in the life of any child. On our shoulders rest possibly the greatest privilege and responsibility known in this life. One thing I know about kids... there’s a definite difference when a father figure is present actively participating and when he is not. We have been given the privilege of being called 'Dad!' A dad brings a stability to a home like no one else can.

Satan has succeeded to divide and if not conquer church… he has been able to neutralize the effectiveness of much of the Christian Movement because he 'denominationalized’ the body of Christ, therefore leaving many to question… if there is only ‘one’ Christianity, why are there so many variations of ‘Christian’ churches and which one(s) are correct? What about the other ‘religions’ are they not ‘Christian’ as well? You see, when ‘Christianity’, 'the real thing' came along Satan was quick to come along with an imitation…

‘God’s Way and God’s Will, is only accomplished through applying God’s Word’ God’s Word is the only medium for altering the course of an individual’s life in this world that will ultimately cause an eternal difference. All of the self-help books you can read will never replace this ‘book of books’ that tells of a place of no more tears, no sorrow, no death, only an eternity of joy, peace, and happiness. Join us as we continue our study on the Authority of God’s Word.

The New Testament has a name that many of us know it by, ‘The Gospel.’ ‘The Gospel’ refers to the entire message of New Testament, not just the first four books of the New Testament. But what does ‘The Gospel’ mean, and why is that ‘The Gospel’ is literally one of the most misunderstood messages of the scripture. The church today, for the most part, does not seem to be the same 'Gospel' that Paul did. Let’s look at ‘The Gospel’ and see it as the scripture calls it, The Gospel is called, ‘The Power of God!

Faith enables us to believe what Grace enables us to see!’ Everything we have or see is due to the faith that we stand in. Over and over in Scripture Jesus is heard to say, ‘Have Faith in God!’ You see, when we accepted Jesus Christ, we became ‘joint heirs’… everything He has is ours NOW! Remember it is His power at work in us as we step our in faith! And there is nothing the enemy can do to stop us! Eph 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us. (NKJV) Join us as continue our series on Grace and begin to realize that through Christ we truly can do all things because of God’s Grace in our lives.

In II Corinthians 1, the scripture records: "It is God who enables us to stand firm in Christ." I remember reading once of an elder gentleman known for his godly life. He was asked one day “What do you do when you aretempted?” He replied, “I just look up to heaven and say, ‘Lord, your property is in danger.’ We are His bride, His sheep and His children and when the enemy of our soul sees that we are God's, he has to respect it. The bible teaches that Now!!! We Belong to God!!! Join us as we continue our series on 'God's Grace' and learn that 'He is Able To Keep Those Who Are His!!!'

‘Mothers Day!’ Only once a year, I rather think it should be everyday! When God created the women it wasn’t just because man needed a companion, it was because man needed a ‘helpmeet’… or assistance and an assurance to him in life and living. Someone said, SHE WAS NOT MADE OUT OF HIS HEAD TO SURPASS HIM, OR FROM HIS FEET TO BE TRAMPLED ON BY HIM, BUT FROM HIS SIDE TO BE EQUAL TO HIM AND NEAR HIS HEART TO BE THE DEAREST TO HIM. Scripture records, ‘The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, and he receives favor from the LORD.’ Most of our households couldn’t do what they do except for the working mother. What a redundant statement, ‘Working Mother!’ as if somehow without an outside job they aren’t ‘working.’ Another said,‘A man’s work is from sun to sun, but a mother’s work is never done.’

God's grace has been defined for so long to so many as simply the 'unmerited favor', 'salvation', and/or the 'forgiveness of sins'. Yet it is so much more!

This year brings amazing signs in skies and Scriptures. Blood Moons, Solar Eclipses, Jewish festivals, a Sabbath year and a Jubilee year, all align in startling ways for anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear. In Genesis 14:1, the scripture records, “God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for APPOINTED TIMES and for days and years…” We watch the news and see ISIS, the Middle East Chaos, Korea’s threats, Tsunami’s, EMP’s spoke of, Earthquakes, and the list keeps going. Join us as we strive to answer the question, ‘What in the World is Going On?’

Ahead of VLCC lay uncharted and never before traveled roads. Not just for our church but for our individual lives. Yet we must understand that all this will be all that we make it to be! So I ask? What do the ministries and VLCC hold for the future? What are the dreams you have for God’s plan and purpose at VLCC? What have you seen with your heart? As we have spoken of the 'Wilderness' times of our lives, we've come to understand that the wilderness is not a place of God's rejection, punishment, or abandonment; but rather a place of God's preparation. The wilderness is greatly used in preparing a man or woman of God for DESTINY; a place to separate US FROM THE WORLD and separate us TO GOD, this is part of the process known as 'sanctification'. Though the wilderness is a foreboding place, even to some today, we've begun to realize the wilderness is not to be a plave for God to CORRECT US; it is rather a place for God to PERFECT us. Isa 40:3 The voice of one crying out in the wilderness: prepare the way of the LORD. (You can actually say, 'prepare your life for the Lord'.)

In the day we live, we are faced with so many distractions, temptations and diversions from God's truth and God's way. Because of this, I have found many people asking, “Pastor, why do I not feel the way I did when I first gave my life to Jesus?” “Why do I not feel the presence of God like I once did, am I out of God’s will.” I have heard the question asked in many ways, but the real question is coming from deep inside, “Am I in Sin?” “Is God mad at me?” “Has God abandoned me?” Over the next few weeks we want to talk about this. I am not sure if we’ll answer every question, but we’ll try to look at the ‘what and why’ of a place that we’ve all been before, a place many are currently at, or the place that many of us will be again; this place is called, ‘The Wilderness.’
