Man tries to achieve security through financial or material gain, yet God sets security by trust. Man tries to make his place under the sun. Yet God makes a place for man in the Son! Our priorities determine our security and our securities will determine our trust.

Europe is rapidly turning against Israel. In Late 2014, Sweden officially recognized a Palestinian state. Since then, the parliaments of Britian, France Spain, Ireland, Portugal and Luxemburg have voted in support of recognizing a Palestinian state. The EU voted to recognize a Palestinian state 'in principle'. Many Israelis and friends of Israel who support creation ofa Palestinian state, but they support the creation of such a state as the result of a peace process. They want to trade land for peace. These Israelis are willing to give up land so long as the palestinians agree to end their conflict with Israel and give up their claim to a 'right of return' for millions of descendants of Palestinian refugees. This is why Israel offered to give the Palestinians a state in the West Bank and Gaza, with East Jerusalem as its capital; in 2000,01 and 08. The palestinians turned all of these offers down. The palestinians don't want land for peace. They want the land without having to concede anything to Israel. And n

In today's world, much of man's worth seems to be determined by man's worth, what we are is determined by what we have. In this New Year, it would be great for us to begin with the right perspective. As Christians, God's Word determines 'who' we are by 'whose' we are, and the desires of our heart, by the treasures of our desires.

There is nothing more precious in the sight of God than the salvation of the lost. The only thing that God prizes more than a person's salvation is when that child is able to come home. (Ps 116:15)My desire is that Victorious Life will be a church that desires to see the lost in this world found. Committed to make desciples, evangelizing all we can, to see as many as possible saved!

We've journeyed through the Birth of Jesus from a perspective mostly of Joseph not fully accepting or even understanding God's only Son coming into the world in the way God chose. You see all expected a 'Conquering King' not a 'Suffering Servant'.We must understand this truth; Jeus did not come to solve earthly problems, but to resolve the heavenly problem between man and God. He did not come to solve the physical issues of earth, but the spiritual issues of eternity. He did all this by overcoming the unseen forces of darkness and giving peace to face the seen darkness of the world.

The question I think Joseph asked is one that resonates with you and me. Jesus came to live, to die to ultimately do what we in and of ourselves could not do....to live again!!

'Mary' the song declares 'do you know?' The truth of the matter is this; Mary did not know that in accepting God's plan she was going to face and go through all that it would wind up being...would she have responded differently? Would she have declined the offer? Would she have said, 'I cannot do this?'

The Christmas Season, I have only one thing that I want to share; God's love and the gift of that love to you.Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love toward us, in that while we were sinners, Christ died for us.1 John 4:19 We love Him because He first loved us.

The Lord is gracious in hiding the future from us. Most of us would love a sneek preview of the future. We say, "Lord, just give me a glance; let me know how it's going to turn out." Deut. 29:29 The secret things belong to the Lord God, but things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of the law. We're not meant to know all things and the longer we live the more we realize God is really good to keep the future from us. It's mercy that veils our eyes.

Many have religion but no faith, a creed but no belief; they do not really and actively truct God. Why? Because it doesn't make sense to believe (act upon) something you don't understand. Understand...FAITH MAKES THINGS POSSIBLE; IT DOESN'T MAKE THEM EASY. Faith is the hardest thing to comprehend, but the only thing that God accepts. GOD'S PROMISES ARE NOT MADE TO THOSE OF STRONG FAITH, BUT TO THOSE OF TRUE FAITH. WALKING BY FAITH MEANS BEING PREPARED TO TRUST WHERE WE ARE NOT PERMITTED TO SEE.

Many Christians give up before they obtain their reward only because they grow tired in the everyday task of living a Christian life. They get so close yet they are still so far.Scriptures over and over say... The Rapture is the event happening when the dead in Christ, and we who are alive at Christ's return are immediately physically transformed rather then passing through natural death and we ascend to meed the Lord in the clouds. They're willing to compromise, because for them it is about survival, even if it is temporal! Paul warned of a time when people would not endure sound teaching, but desire to have teachers to suit their own passions turning from the truth and wander into myths. (II Tim 4) Paul's warning has proved true, especially today, when we have a multitude of preachers proclaiming half-truths and false doctrines to entice and gather for their own benefits.
