The 'Rapture', also known in scripture as 'The Blessed Hope'. When is it, will I go? These are two questions we will address in this '2 part' series in the Rapture! God warned us of ignoring End-Times Prophecy and the Signs of the Times. Some 13 times in the NT we are told to not be deceived, but to watch and be ready. The Lord wants us to anticipate His return. Satan though, does not want us to be excited. He's the master deceiver, wanting us to believe his deception rather than the signs of Christ's return. The rapture is an event that will take place sometime in, 'I believe', the very near future. Jesus will 'catch up' (rapture) the Church from the earth. Scripture is very clear about this event, though the timing of the rapture is not known. Yet, though we do not know the day or the hour, we do know the times and seasons. In this 2-part series I directly address of the questions around the Lord 'Soon' Return and ask, 'When is it?' and 'Are You Going?'

What do 'Abraham, Faith and 1995 Baseball' have in common? Life has a simple truth and it is this; we are all different! Personalities might be similar to others, but each of us are still very different. Though our personality traits may seem similar they’re forged out of different life experiences. Which is the essense of those differences. You see, we're all broken, wounded and disqualified from Gods perfection. And in this disqualified from His Kingdom, definitely disqualified from service in His body. Yet God makes' us right when we believe and accept Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood.

Everyday, you and I are building and effecting eternity! Yet in doing this, we must understand that our system of values is diametrically opposed to God. We do not look to the future, only the present! We place more value on time than eternity. This is the reason we get so easily caught up in the temporal things of life. (Ecc 3:11) My desire is that through the Holy Spirit’s power, Victorious Life will be a church that desires to see healing in our community. That we’ll intentionally commit ourselves to disciple making and evangelism to see as many as possible come to the saving knowledge of Christ Jesus our Lord. Jim Elliott said it better than probably anyone when he said, “Only one life will soon be past, and only what’s done for Christ will last.” This is what it means to leave a legacy for eternity.

God’s perfect CREATION corrupted by ORIGINAL SIN that SEPARATED us from God requiring our REDEMPTION with Him is the foundation for the Gospel of the world’s redeeming Savior, Lord Jesus the Christ. This is found in Genesis 1 & 3 with the first promise of the coming Redeemer, born of a virgin, found in Genesis 3:15. This is why Secularists focus their efforts to undermine people’s faith in God by attacking biblical creation. The Editor of American Atheist wrote: “If there never was an original sin there is no need of salvation and that puts Jesus into the ranks of the unemployed.” This is because death before Adam undermines the Original Sin that led to our need for redemption.

This Christmas season, I want to ask the question, ‘What is Christmas Really All About?’ Through the course of these next few weeks, I want to share the greatest gift of God’s Love, that He Gave the Greatest Gift, His Son for the salvation of the world. Not because we were good enough, or because we deserved it, but because He Loved! Romans 5:8 declares, ‘God demonstrated His own love toward us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us’. Scripture goes on to say in I John 4:19, ‘we love Him because He first loved us. Let’s look at and ask, How Great Is His Love For Us? Once again it is not about us being good enough, as John 3:17 declares, ‘for God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved’. When you’re a child, Christmas is all about receiving gifts. In December, your head is swimming with nothing but images of your favorite toys. Baptism is an outward sign of an inward experience. Baptism declares to the world that I have laid down my life to Christ and have been raised in newness of life in Christ.

I have said for many years, one of the key signs of maturity to the Christian is not whether something bothers us, but whether let things in life bother us. You see, many things in this life are bothersome; but why do they only ‘bother some?’ Maturity is seen by whether you ‘let it bother you’ becoming consumed by the issue. Another thing I have learned is the fact that when I forgive, I set a prisoner free; only to find out the prisoner was me! The bottom line is this, if you and I are to be victorious in our lives, we must stop looking at ourselves as a casualty of circumstance, upbringing or life. As Christians, we are more than conquerors’, overcomers of the weaknesses in this life because we ‘come over’ to the strength found in Jesus Christ.
