Today I’m going to continue our series, the ‘P’s’ in God’s Garden and living a Victorious Christian Life. Today’s ‘P’ is the ‘Partnering with God.’ I want to talk about partnering with God. I know people who quit a church because they talk about giving. I don't blame some, but don’t understand most. Or, using guilt to get you to give, you know you could feed 8,234 children if you’d cut out lattes and show a picture. Most sermons on giving are designed to get us to give more. That's not today! I want to help us understand what happens when we give. Many here already give and support VLCC.Yet some wonder what happens next. Some don’t need motivation, they just need explanation; what happens after we give. So today, I want to share with you some of the things that happen when we give. Then when we are done, I’m not going to receive an offering… WOW! So here we go… VERY SIMPLY… WHEN WE GIVE:

Life is full of difficulties, adversities, and complexities. I suppose the most consistent thing about life has to be its inconsistency. Choosing not to be neatly categorized life has opted to be a tossed salad of tragedies and triumphs, profanity and purity, despair and hope. The bad perplexingly close to the good. The just frighteningly near to the unfair. Evil is paradoxically close to good. Life; life is always a clock tick away from death like a sheer curtain separates the two. This is normal; relax and enjoy the ride.

Whether we want to acknowledge, admit, or accept this fact, every human being on this earth is in a battle for his or her life! An invisible war rages around us, and it is up to each individual whether you are on the winning or losing side. Yes, there is a winning and a losing side, and we chose which we are on. Yet, regardless which side we are on, the war continues to rage! As a Christian, we have one‘who is looking for all he can devour!’ And if we do not stand up against him, we will ultimately fall down prey to him. Passivity is not an option, fight with all your heart, you must! But, if you know anything about the stalking approach, secretive presence, and seductive allure of predators in the wild, you already have ‘one up’ on the devil.

FREEDOM - LONGED FOR IN THE NATIONS... COVETED AFTER IN THE WORLD... WAS IT REALLY ESTABLISHED IN AMERICA?The past is an interesting part of the present. Every one of us at times need to be more like the little boy who was one day in a mall. He was at the end of an escalator and he just kept watching the railing as it went round and around. A security guard came up to him and said, “Son, are you lost?” He said, “No sir. I am just waiting for my chewing gum to come back.”Today is going to be an interesting day, as most of you already know by looking at your notes I’m going to minister on a subject that most people need, because most people lack. That subject is the necessity of patience in an impatient world. And if you’re patient enough and want to listen in you are welcome to.

Father’s Day It’s difficult to talk about being a father without reflection on the children’s mother as well. They are one and have a common bond and desire to raise their children in the best way they can. However, by nature and design, being a Father is different than being a Mother. In America today we are becoming more and more aware of the missing Father’s in our society. Studies have shown that 80% of men in prison had no father or father figure in their life.

Baptism is not a prerequisite to salvation; salvation is the precursor to baptism

There is a price for freedom that’s paid everyday. We memorialize all those who’ve paid the price to give us freedom. Tomb of ‘The Unknown Soldier’ America’s inscription, ‘In honor of American Soldiers known only to God.’ This country has been based and founded on this type of heart and mentality. Patrick Henry once spoke words that are still at the basis of the American dream and heart this day; “GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH.”

I. WE ARE ALL MISSIONARIES… Note:The word ‘mission’ comes from the Latin word, ‘send.’ Being a Christianincludes being sent into the world representing of Jesus. Jesus said, ‘As the Father sent me I send you.’ (John 20:21)Just as Jesus clearly understood his life mission on earth; the CMA and we, must fully understand our mission to reach the world ‘One Heart at a Time!’ I often think of Jesus’ final words at Calvary, ‘It is finished.’ He was not saying there was no longer work to do, but that He completed the mission the Father gave him.

TODAY WE CELEBRATE ONE OF THE GREATEST NATIONAL HOLIDAYS EVER ESTABLISHED!For a few moments, let us recognize the very ones who are solely responsible for us being here, our Mothers. I say solely for this very reason, they didn’t have to allow your birth. There are a variety of reasons they didn’t have too, but the bottom line is this; love compelled them too! Unlike anyone else, mothers have the privilege of sharing with God in the creation of new life. She helps bring into existence a soul that will endure for all eternity.

A.The secular world continues to do everything it can to discredit Jesus, His disciples, or the Bible. They are always seeking any ‘tidbit’ of fallacy, fantasy, or duplicity to undermine credibility! They have questioned God’s plan from the beginning as if God’s original plan had failed, so Jesus was the ‘backup’ plan.

Learning God’s plan for my life is possibly the greatest discovery I have ever made when it comes to my Christian walk. And in making that discovery, I learned that the Will of God involves all the following aspects of my life:•Fully surrendering my life to Jesus as ‘Lord’ and not simply as ‘Savior!’ •Being obedient to the Holy Spirit’s guiding as I yield my life to Christ. •Keeping the Lord first in every area of my life showing my love for His love!I.KNOWING OUR CALLING COMES FROM ACCEPTING OUR PURPOSE IN LIFE…

It seems one area in the church that is always lacking is the area of service; men and women joining in the ranks of ‘building peoples lives’, from behind the scenes. It seems many would rather be in the ‘limelight’ out front than in the ‘dim light’ out back, of the ‘seeming drudgery called ministry.’ Let’s take a look at the place we are, could be and should be as we begin to understand the privilege of service in the Lord’s House and the opportunity to be part of building ‘His Kingdom.’

: Hear this truth: WHERE WE WIND UP DEPENDS ON WHICH ROAD WE TAKE! In other words we cannot go south from here and expect to get to Salt Lake City. Going east from here we’ll not wind up in LA. Yes, I realize we could circumnavigate the globe and accomplish this, but using the present road system in place now, it would be absolutely impossible for you or I to do that.
