…the time is coming, indeed it’s here now; when you will be scattered, each one going his own way, leaving me alone. Yet I am not alone because the Father is with me. I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.

I have known many Christians who have succeeded in their careers, only to fail at home. I have known some who have built very successful ministries, only to succumb to pride or immorality. When we fail to keep a relationship with God first and the priority of our lives we fail. I’ve even known churches that get so enamored with what I call ‘nickels, numbers and noise’, that they run roughshod over people. It’s easy to get into a battle over some minor issue of life, and forget the cause of the gospel.

One thing the last day’s advocate probably understands more than anything is that of our standing secure in who Christ is and who we are in Him is critical. Scripture: ‘men’s hearts would fail because of fear,’ ‘love would grow cold because wickedness increases; those who stand till the end overcome. (Matt 24) Peter, an authority on Jesus’ mercy, forgiveness and compassion writes some keys to the security that will help each of us. (II Pet 1:5-10) Once we resolve to our purpose, and begin to put into practice our purpose we can now pursue our purpose with passion. Then ultimately live out our purpose seeing God’s glory fulfilled in our lives.

I.AS CHRISTIANS, HOW DO WE KNOW OUR MAIN PURPOSE? Someone said, ‘The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.’ The ‘main thing’ as a Christian is to keep Christ first in all areas… in the church it is to reach the lost before anything else. When Jesus left earth he gave the church a clear vision

In this New Year it would be great for us to begin to live in a right perspective of life and living. Sadly too many Christians included, have a wrong perspective on what life and their part in life is really all about, so the struggle! Let’s begin the New Year understanding ‘the main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.’ If we do, we’ll no longer have to struggle regarding self worth or our life purpose.

The safest place to be is in the middle of a storm when God is with you. And the best thing to do in the midst of a storm is to not try to figure out why things happened like they did. TRUST THAT IF GOD ALLOWED YOU TO GET HERE IT’S FOR A REASON AND HE IS WORKING OUT WHAT HE’S WORKING IN.

The Bible tells us that God's strenght is made perfect in our weekness. It is the storms of life, when we are the weakest that God's strength shines.

The word og God calls a Christian that uses God's Word, A wise man. Yet this same man, when he sits back and says that he will not believe by not doing what sets right in front of him he apprears a fool to the world...(and rightly so)The Bible says it is the wise man that puts his trust in the Lord to provide for every situation and turn it around to work together for the good.

We all go through storms in our lives, How we handle them and Who we turn to to get us through them makes the difference on how we come out on the other side.

Most Christians Do Not Grasp the Promise and Prvision Of Calvary. This weeks Sermon walks us through a child's life as he becomes a King.

EXCELLENCE MEANS I WON’T CONFORM TO EVERYONE ELSE! I’ll reach towards the call of God’s glory to attain excellence. This, many desire yet won’t pay the price to achieve. Sadly, Good enough has become a mantra, just to get by. And to do this, we simply just stop doing our best! CHRISTIANS ARE CALLED TO HIS GLORY AND EXCELLENCE? The world is full of followers as it is easier to follow than to lead. This is where Christians come in… people are looking for someone to follow. We need be those that others want to follow… who’ll pay a price called, ‘excellence!’

There is a common thread that all who saw God do great things in their lives had …THEY TRUSTED GOD MORE THAN THEIR CIRCUMSTANCES.
