3/17/2024 Psalm 95:3 FALSE GODS THAT STILL INFLUENCE MANKIND TODAY There are many false “gods’’ of mythology. Egypt, Mesopotamia, Babylon, Pheonicians, Caannaites, Assyrians, Greeks and other middle eastern peoples are responsible for the vast majority of these false gods which number in the Hundreds. Many are the same god only with different names in different cultures. I am only going to mention the ones that are in the Bible and two with the Catholic church. The reason is that if the word of God mentioned them …..they first of all are Real. Secondly they are still active today. The others may be real or not and we are certain that many false gods are in the world that are not mentioned in the Bible. But these may or may not be active today. And they may be operating under different names but are really the same false gods mentioned in the Bible. Psalm 95:3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

3/10/2024 Acts 13:6-12 Opposition To Christ Intro: Don’t be shocked but the devil doesn’t want you here today. The devil hates your Jesus. The devil hates your Bible. The Devil hates your church (if it is preaching the word of God) He will do anything he can to oppose you and literally kill you if he could. He is fueling all the opponents to faith and trust in Jesus Christ. All the media, news, university elites and world elites are opposed to faith and trust in Jesus Christ. In fact, most everybody in the world is opposed to the word of God and Jesus Christ! Paul faced opposition all the time as we do today. What did he do?

/10/2024 Matthew 27:50-53 Resurrected Saints Intro: One of the most mysterious and interesting things happened at the time of Jesus death and resurrection and is only mentioned in the book of Matthew. Like Lazarus resurrection is only mentioned in the book of John. These two are similar in many ways. But different also. They both center around Jesus of course. Who broke up two funerals on Jarius Daughter, and the centurions daughter and later Paul through the apostalistic power of Jesus……brought Eutycus back to life after falling out of a window. So with Jesus being the resurrection and the life He has the power in life and in death and taking up life again. But what happened after Jesus death?

3/3/2024 Colossians 3:8-11 How To Be Spiritually Dressed Intro: We put off old clothes when we want to look our best. We put on things that make us reflect dignity, beauty, honor and respect. And the way we look should reflect love and respect for our family, our friends and our community. We as a church are in the greatest community in the world. A community of believers in Jesus Christ who are seeking to bring glory and honor to Him and love and respect to each other. So we know how to dress physically but how do we dress spiritually. What do we put on for Christ? Christ tells us what to put off and things to put on as we dress ourselves spiritually.

3/3/2024 Genesis chapters 1 and 2 and Revelation 21 and 22 the Real Normal Intro: What is normal? In our world today that is hard to say . Everything we thought or think is normal is different. They call it the new normal. Fear is normal. Hate is normal. Chaos is normal. Pleasure is fleeting. War is normal. Murder is normal. Disease is normal. Tragedy is normal. And of course order, happiness and joy are limited and peace is very limited. But that’s normal for this sin cursed world. But what is considered normal for God and His creation?

2/25/2024 John 1: 10-17 The Answer To Every Question Intro: We have so many questions is life. Where did we come from? Where are we going? What is the purpose to life? What is life? Who killed JFK? Why did God create Duke University? So many questions. Well, I have the answer. The answer is in a person. The question is not WHAT is the answer to every question but WHO is the answer to every question.

2/18/2024 1 Thessalonians 1:1-7 Thessalonians A Great Church In Tough Times Intro: Paul started the church at Thessalonica. Acts 17:1-4 Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews: 2And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, 3Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ. 4And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few. Thessalonica was an important Grecian metropolis by the Roman period of history. It was the second largest city of the Byzantine empire. It was located on the intersection of two Romans roads. 2/11/2024 Galatians 2:16-21 Can the Works Of The Law Save Us? Intro: Ninety percent of the world today believes in life after death. But only a small percentage realize that we are all going to hell. Most believe we go into this eternal state of bliss and reward without ever knowing God or His Son Jesus Christ. After all they say…..life goes on because our life is an invisible force of nature. Man is naturally good. Religion is evil. I agree that religion is evil. But the Bible is crystal clear….we are all sinners in need of a savior. And without that savior we are all doomed to hell. We have that Savior Jesus Christ…..who saved us from the penalty of our sin. He saved us by the gift the grace of God. It’s a gift to us because God loves us because man is made in His own image. He cares about us. God introduced Himself by choosing a people and then declaring His requirements for mankind. Since He is creator He has the right to and we have the need to know His requirements. 2/4/2024 1 Kings 3:5-14 and 11:1-12 Great Start-Bad Finish Intro: No one started out as great a Solomon. He was appointed by God as king. He built an incredible house of Worship and a house for himself. God was pleased with him and blessed him greatly. God ws impressed by Solomons request for wisdom instead of power. And God gave him both. But Solomon didn’t finish well. He had a long kingship of 40 years. But in his later years things crumbly away. I think Solomon is a microcosm of Israel as a nation. They started out so well as God’s chosen people with a promise to be a great nation with a land of their own. The were given the law of God but ended up being scattered throughout the world. They had a great start but a terrible finish. But it is not over yet. Israel is back in their land and is the burdensome stone to the world…… but one day God will save them and be king over them.

1/28/2024 Philippians 4:4-7 Last Days Advice From Paul Intro: We all receive advice everyday. Commercials advise you to buy something because you really will better your life. We receive phone calls advising us to get their medicare supplement, or something else we cannot live without. Road signs advise us as to what speed to drive. The weather man advises us of the tomorrows weather and how to prepare. Our spouses advise us on what repairs need to be made around the house. And some advice is very good. A wise person listens to good counsel. Paul is giving us great counsel about the last days and how to live.

1/21/24 1 Corinthians 1:4-9 Blessings In Christ Intro: WE don’t know what we have in Christ. But we need to know. We are blessed beyond belief actually. We have everything in Christ. The world wants everything. They want to be rich, they want to be gifted and talented, they want to be perfect and approved. Well, they are all looking in the wrong places. We have ALL of that in Jesus Christ.

1/14/2024 Romans 7:14-25 Conflict Between Two Natures. Intro: Man is conflicted. Do we do what is right or do what we want? Do we do the good or follow the evil? We make these decisions every day. Paul understands this more than any of us. He was conflicted. What causes this conflict? Our sinful nature or as the Bible calls it “the flesh” that we cannot escape from until we shed it in death or the rapture. Until then we can still have victory every day over the flesh when we understand the conflict.

1/7/2024 Titus 2:2-10 Christian Character Intro: Titus 2:1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: But as for you, teach the things which are in agreement which produces men and women of good character whose lifestyle identifies them as true Christians. Character is what you are when no one is watching. The Bible tells us what good Christian Character looks like.

1/7/2024 1 Kings 2:1-10 Eliminating the Opposition Intro: David has died and Solomon is tasked by his father David to purge the traitors from Solomon’s kingdom. God is going to purge the traitors from His kingdom run by His Son Jesus Christ. God is not going to put up with half-hearted effort. There is no fence to sit on. Either you for Christ or you are against Him. Some think this was very harsh for David to tell his son to eliminate any treachorious people. You cannot lead a people righteously if you have wicked traitors in the house. This is what is wrong with America today. Trump did not eliminate traitors from his government. He tried I think….. but he failed to eliminate those who were not 100% loyal to him. Now we have chaos today and confusion……a lack of law and order and the sense that things are falling apart. God did not want that for His people Israel. He wanted law and order and prosperity for His people. He does not want that for the milliennial regin of Christ. That’s why the Bi

Or Gas prices are going up again! There are millions of things we don’t like to hear. But there is one thing I promise you every person is NOT going to want to hear or read. 12/24/2023 Luke 1:26-33 The Angel Gabriel Intro: The Angel Gabriel is mentioned in four verses in the Bible. He appears to Daniel twice to Daniel in Daniel 8:16 And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision. And in Daniel 9:21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. In Luke 1:19 He appears to John the Baptists father Zacharias. And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings. And in Luke 1:26 as we will look at today. God always lets His people know what is going on. He does not leave us in the dark. That’s why we have the Bible and prophecy. He is letting us know what is going to happen and what will take place.
