I believe Christ Jesus knew there would be divisions in the Church. Divisions brought about by doctrinal interpretations, denominational influences and other issues that causes Christians to lose focus on the main thing. Jesus told His disciples that all men would know they were His by the way the demonstrated (agape) love toward one another. Love keeps the focus on things above. Anything else, well, waters down the whole Gospel and makes the message about the doctrine or the denomination. Now is that really what Jesus intended?

Throughout the Gospels, Jesus Christ regularly qualifies what it means to be one of His disciples. And contrary to the popular evolution of the original concept, it is not about church programs and activities. Being a disciple of Christ begins with an inward condition of the heart, immersed in a willingness to simply obey His every command (the Word). This new series begins with a look at Christ's command that His disciples abide in His Word.

The Word of God instructs us, in more than a few places, that we are to live by faith. In order for us to see the manifestation of the purposes and plans that God has reserved specifically for us, we FIRST must demonstrate confidence and trust in the One Who created us. Faith in God (Hebrews 6:1) is one of the foundational principles in the doctrine of Christ that every Believer is expected to assimilate.

Faith is what we use as an expression of our confidence in God and His Word. It is what enables us, through Christ Jesus, to overcome the world.

If you were the only Bible a person every had an opportunity to read, would they want to? And where would they want to start? As born-again believers, we are the establishing witnesses of the glory of God in the earth. And if we have been predestined to be conformed to the image (likeness) of Christ Jesus, then are we manifesting and projecting the right image?

Sometimes, we forget the real power of words. As children, and in defense of ugly words being hurled at us, we would say something like "sticks and stones may break my bones, but names (words) can never hurt me". Well, as we grow older, we come to the realization that words CAN hurt, if we let them. But... We also learn that words can heal, deliver and bring the Kingdom of God into full manifestation into our lives. Our words are spiritual containers that carry the power and weight of the Kingdom of God behind them.

Jesus Christ told His disciples that "He" would confirm his "word" with signs following. The Word of God even tells us tht death and life are in the power of the tongue (words). Isn't it interesting that so little priority is placed on the words we speak as part of the modern day Church?

All things are possible for the person who demonstrates faith in God. For us who are children of the Creator of the universe, turning the impossible into the possible is nothing difficult for Him. Truly, no job is too big for El Shaddai -- He is God Almighty!

Understanding that each of us has a God-ordained purpose for our lives on the earth is something every born-again Believer must grasp. No one's life is useless, or meaningless; rather, every life has been given a specific mandate from the Creator of all peoples and things.

For years, many of us have been told the lie that we would always have a house note and a car note. We were told we would always be indebted to "the man" (who is that really, anyways?) because we would never have enough money to buy the things we really wanted. Well, I've got one thing to say about that -- THE DEVIL IS A LIAR!

That’s because our heavenly Father wants us to be lenders and not borrowers. He does not want us to struggle all of our lives under the heavy burden of debt, or to be a slave to anything, for that

God's plan for our lives if far better than we could ever imagine for ourselves. In fact, it is a "right now" plan; not one that we need to wait to receive on the other side of glory. Jesus Christ has already declared that the Kingdom of God is at hand, and that it resides on the inside of us. It's time to grab hold of our citizenship and walk in the privilege of Kingdom living...now!

Way too often, Christians are too quick to abdicate their authority and position in the earth. Rather, it is easier for some to relegate their thinking to their being less than what God created, than to walk fully in the responsibility He has given. No, we are not Jesus Christ Himself, but we are Christ-like (Christians); and empower with the same-self Holy Spirit to walk, do and say in the earth, in Christ’s stead.

When the Bible talks about "the flesh", it primarily is describing a mindset that is in opposition to God's way of thinking, doing, and being. It is the responsibility of every born-again believer to make his/her flesh line up with the Word of God. Our living example for this is Jesus Christ Himself.

Let's see... The Word of God gives of a CLEAR indications that the following events transpired... Jesus came to take away the sin of the world; check. Jesus destroyed all the work of the enemy; check. Jesus came that we might have abundant life; check. Jesus made an open show of the enemy in his own backyard; check. Seems the only thing left is the flesh. And that challenge is on US...

The Holy Spirit has been sent to the people of God with a very specific ministry. It has got to become the priority of every born-again Believer to connect with the Spirit of God so that he/she can complete the work of Christ in the earth.

In the Church, Christians want the power of God without being connected to the Power of God. They want truth, without a willingness to be connected to Truth. The Spirit of God is in the earth TODAY to help every born-again Believer to maximize their life in the earth. He was sent specifically by Jesus to empower us to do great and mighty things, all to the glory of God.

As born-again Believers, we were not left powerless, impotent, weak, or void of our Source when Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven. In fact, we have been re-created in a demonstration of power, by God’s love, and totally dependent upon the Holy Ghost. We are the Church and have been given supernatural abilities to overcome every trick of the enemy.   

One of the first truths that hit home with me when I began to study the Word of God for myself was this... I am the righteousness of God because of the finished work of Christ Jesus. It has NOTHING to do with anything I did, worked for, or earned. It has EVERYTHING to do with being a free gift from my Maker, and His desire that I be empowered to fulfill His purposes and plans for my life. When you begin to realize who you are because of whose you are, you will be free to rule and reign in the earth as God intended.

Revelation knowledge is that knowledge which is obtained directly from God. It is the difference between walking in life successfully (as Christ Jesus subscribed), and walking through life with one disappointment after another. Simply put, the ability to get revelation knowledge is based on one’s ability to hear CLEARLY from God. How many times have we heard someone say, “well, the Lord told me…” Yet the only manifestation present is a shipwrecked life. Our ability to hearken and do has got to be based on more than magically pointing to a few Scriptures that speak to a problem, but not necessarily OUR problem. In order to achieve breakout success in life, you must hear the Word of God directly from God. Jehovah God is always speaking, but if you want to receive revelation knowledge (the secret things of God revealed to you by the Holy Spirit), you must position yourself to hear God’s voice.
