Today, you'll hear about a special hiding place I had as a child, a place that felt safe and secure. We all like that concept, don't we. Except, as we age, we find out that there are very few if any truly safe and secure hiding places. Good news- We hear that David has found just such a place. Where is it-- Psalm 32 has the answer.

We take a close look at Gods mercy as we see it in Psalm 51. This is David realizing he has made a disastrous mistake and sinned against God. Some of the popular phrases we hear in the church today are, -You don't have to do anything- The gospel is free and so are you- Don't let anyone tell you, you have to do anything. We're in 2 Thessalonians today as part of our series -Living it Out-. Our sermon this morning is from 2 Thessalonians 2 and asks the question, -Does the Bible say what you think it says-- In most cases, it surely does. But, if we are honest and try to read objectively, there are some passages that are difficult to understand, particularly those passages that deal with the end times. It can actually be a little dangerous to try and take some of these passages literally. Find out why as we dive deeply in to -The Day of the Lord.-

One of the hardest things for any of us to do is to wait. Nearly all of us like things to happen sooner rather than later, particularly the good things God promises us as believers. Waiting can be a challenge. Our passage for the day, 2 Thessalonians 1, deals with waiting.

If read carefully enough, you can find the story of Jesus everywhere in the Bible. We see it in Exodus 33 and the story of Moses asking to see God's glory.
