Welcome to the Pubmonkey Podcast in which we are joined by the movie's writer Jamie O'Hara, who also acts in the film, and Glenn Page, the singer, songwriter and guitarist with The Len Price 3. The band wrote and performed the film's score, a fine selection of their songs make up the soundtrack and they also make a cameo appearance at the very end. We are pleased to announce that the Podcast features some so far unheard and unreleased incidental music from the movie's soundtrack. Steve from Retro Man Blog and Rock Photographer Paul Slattery welcome Chris Wilson, singer, songwriter and guitarist with the legendary, and recently re-formed, Flamin' Groovies. Chris takes us on a journey from his early teens watching and being inspired by some of the great Blues musicians in Massachusetts to LA and San Francisco where he joined up with ex-Charlatans guitarist Mike Wilhelm in Loose Gravel and later The Flamin' Groovies. Responsible for some of the most iconic rock classics ever recorded such as "Slow Death" and "Shake Some Action" The Flamin' Groovies never quite made the breakthrough to commercial success, but remain a huge influence on Power Pop and Punk bands alike. Chris also covers his time with The Barracudas, recording with Dave Edmunds, meeting Ringo Starr and not to mention seeing photographer Paul Slattery again for the first time in 35 years! In this candid and amusing story, Chris also picks out some of his influences, favourite songs and highlights from his own back catalogue

Harley appeared on the band's first two Bearsville Records albums "Halfnelson/Sparks" and "A Woofer In Tweeter's Clothing", and their very first visit to the UK back in the early Seventies. Now in Part 2, Harley talks about the band's first experiences in a studio with Todd Rundgren and James Lowe of The Electric Prunes and how a notorious bunch of Groupies contributed to them getting signed to Bob Dylan's manager's record label. This introduces the band to the nefarious world of the music business with it's aggressive managers and pressure to "make it". Steve from Retro Man Blog talks to Swedish singer-songwriter Mattias Hellberg about his eclectic, genre-defying career as he finishes off the recording for his new solo album. It's a varied and exciting journey - from his early days in Karlstad putting on gigs in the college canteen for bands such as Union Carbide Productions to forming his own bands including the influential Nymphet Noodlers along with future Soundtrack of Our Lives members Martin Hederos and Mattias Bärjed and Free Fall bassist Jan Martens. Steve from Retro Man Blog talks to "Football's Last Proletarians" Directors, Martin Jönsson and Carl Pontus Hjorthén about their stunning new documentary. The movie is a fascinating look back at IFK Gothenburg's 1980's European adventures under the management of Sven-Göran Eriksson. However, it is far more than just a film about football, it's a classic and extremely well told story of David against Goliath - how a team of part-time footballers took on, and beat, some of European football's top outfits on their way to UEFA Cup success. We are also joined by one of the stars of the team, and of course the movie itself, ex-IFK, Liverpool and Fiorentina defender, Glenn Hysén. The Podcast features some examples of The Soundtrack of Our Lives' guitarist, Ian Person's excellent music from the film.
