Digital Strips

You've probably been waiting a long time for this one but I never did resolved the archive issues with Libsyn. Because we care for you, our listenners, so much we are bringing you another episode and this time we've got a somewhat non politically correct strip to tell us just how decadent we really are.

You may notice another voice of the line and that would be Brandon J Carr. He's giving a go at filling the Zampzon\Wednesday spot and I think he did a hell of a job. He has selected a strip I had never heard but enjoyed non-the-less. So sit back and listen as I try desperately to hold on to sanity as I have quite the wonderful cold going.

Welcome to the turn of our century. We have for you a new treat. The first one is a review of last year's winner of the We Love Web Comics Contest and to top it off we bring Mike Laidman on the show. Don't think he is getting off that easy. He looks to have joined us for the first of many shows where we review the show in front of the artist.

We are proud to present to you our 100th episode of Digital Strips. We're very proud to have been with you for this long and we can only surprised why you stuck around. We have for you what can only be described as whole wheat DS. Flipside is one o fthe better Mangas out there which has Phil all in a puff reading his notes.

Phil is back on the show for a review of this little talked about but huge strip. It has a little of everything to give everyone a lot of enjoyment. We also have a short discussion on Child's Play and how it just might be the greatest thing to ever come from the arm of Ursula Major.

Phil here. Back from my brief break to bring you a fresh interview with Scott McCloud. He was in my area for a couple of days, so I made it a point to catch his lecture and subsequently interview him. If you get a chance to see one of his lectures, I'd highly recommend it.

The good times keep rolling in as we have yet another guest host for you. This time we have the esteemed Shaenon Garrity joining us for yet another strip that has been sitting in my queue. This is fantastically drawn strip that's waiting for a plot to appear.

I was so excited to have Ryan agree to come on the show. The interview I gave him when he was in Thailand was my first solo for the site and who can forget the Welton/DS crossover? Well this time Ryan picks a strip to review and it's one that has been in my queue waiting to talk about.

We have another guest host for you. This time we have Phil's arch rival Reva Sharp but don't worry as she has picked a surprising refreshing strip. Normally the only journal comic I like is Devil's Panties but if you manage your way through the archives you'll find some of the best sarcasm and random life jokes I have had the pleasure to laugh at.

This episode marks the first in our series with guest hosts. In a blatant attempt in stalling I have branched out far and wide to bring you the best ear candy so as not to chase you away with my wonderful monotonic voice. Our first guest is Kevin Volo who has recently turned his subscription site into an all free collective.

We return to what might ultimately be discribed as the best rendered web comic. When we reviewed this strip back on show 83 this gentleman became the most requested interviewee on the show. So sit down for the next hour as I ask a barrage of questions.

As much as Phil loves film it was only a matter of time before he found something like this strip to help him find his happy place, but then I don't like to talk about the bridge, it brings back memories I'd rather forget. Anyways we have for you an editorial strip that has some really insightful comments on the movie industry even if I do find it a little pretentious.

Monday of last week the NYT once again released an article that caused quite a stir in our little community. With all the ruccus it was more then we could resist then to call up Scott and Dylan and put the collect questions that have popped up. Join us as the Times article is explained along with the purchase of Drunk Duck.

According to Phil I have no taste when it comes to web comcis but I like to think I'm a good and healthy person. Here is a strip to make you laugh and remember the good old days when puns and mysteries meant something.

Phil is back after complaining about not being on the last podcast. Apparantly he's a big fan of the strip. This week Phil takes revenge on me by forcing me to read possibly the most filthy comic ever created, out side of kit'n Koboodle. I dare you to not be offended.

To kick up the number of shows I've recruited the blog staff to join me on the show. The first one up is The Geek who picked his favorite comic not knowing I am a movie whore. I dare you to read every strip AND every review.

A week later and we have another web comic for you. This is another one that was submitted to us. Gavin took the advice of countless others and waited to send us his comic until he had quite a few in the archives.

Taking advantage of our audience Phil grabbed a comic from his recent plea for comics. Both of us found the strip to be done well but we both had our critiques. Those who like the art of Bloom County and a litte Paranormal investigation will find this strip ust right.

This is the first podcast covering the advertising sale DS was running a month ago. I swear it's only coincidental that the sponsor happens to be an advertising company. In the second half we review the new comic from our favorite ConnectiCon host.
