The Perthian Chronicles is a ten year project seeing curious fellow, Ryan Marano, creating verbal sketches of the passionate people of Perth. And to hopefully revisit these chronicles and their authors in ten years time for a recap. So like a fine wine these chronicles will appreciate with time but for now its tastes like a bitter Rose.

With Masala Tea in hands, the two talked about: the Australian MP's citizenship scandal, the Australian Theatre Forum, the political and social effects of a theatre's architecture, Artists on the tight rope of political correctness, anger bringing out passion, remembering who you are and the Blueroom Theatre and it's moody neutrality.

They also touched on the importance of community theatre, rejection, resilience and the true power of comic books.

    In the halls of independent theatre power, a bumbling Ryan is warmly greeted by the award wining Poet, Producer, Philosopher and Global Citizen Zainab Zahra Syed. In quite a reflective chapter, the two spoke about: the partition of Pakistan, the film "Viceroy", globe trotting, SLAM poetry, understanding artists as vessels, "inclusivity not exclusivity", Oz Politicians pulse hunting, the dreaded mirror(or canvas)of Social media, Performing Lines WA and the legacy of The Perthian Chronicles.   • Chapter Eighteen: "Until The Day I Die"

  • Chapter Fifteen: "You're in Perth!"

    Ah-Har me matey! It was on a stormy day as Ryan set sail to the green lands of North Perth. Where he was met with the legendary Dancer, Choreographer and Director Paul Selwyn Norton. The lads talked about Ballet the tool of political power, Strut Dance the Black pearl, William Forsythe, "One Flat Thing Reproduced", Generosity, Subadriving and Mastershop. However be warned, as the first ten minutes of this chapter contains a bit of ambience and then a wee bit of swearing. Ah-Har!

  • Chapter Fourteen: Spänning

This chapter is really a mixed bag chocked with politics, art and swearing.

Yes there are a few F**** here and there, but there are hunks of wisdom throughout this chapter to balance it all out.
