Oh baby! Playoff hockey is returning to Toronto. The buds went from dud Leafs to Leafers after an emotional rollercoaster of a game Saturday night against Pittsburgh. In celebration of a T-Dot playoff berth, coach Babsy dropped by Derringer in the Morning to share his excitement. It's a hot one today in the city; smells like summer -- time to bust out the short shots and get our spray-tans on! Our friend Patrick Malkin happens to be in France, visiting Vimy Ridge for the 100 year anniversary of World War 1 and called in to the Q studio to relay and honour the experience. Maple Leafs fans took to Twitter last night to voice their disdain with that disappointing loss to the Lightning. Only Toronto hockey fans can jump on and off the bandwagon that fast... Ryan shares a funny story about flashing his high-beams to other drivers to warn them of an upcoming speed-trap. John, Jenn and Ryan go through the 300 new words added to the dictionary. The crew reveals the odd thing you might find if you went through their internet browser history and Derringer pays tribute to legendary comedian Don Rickles who passed away at the age of 90. Derringer witnessed a crazy accident just off the DVP last night. If you want to take a nap, the best way to fall asleep is to watch golf and with the Masters starting tomorrow at Augusta, Ryan found out something fascinating about the food at the golf course. Speaking of food, not sure why a thief thought stealing a whole bunch of romaine lettuce was a good idea. The Maple Leafs had a disappoint game, missing an opportunity to clinch a playoff spot last night. Ryan sheds tears talking about Patrick Swayze, Roadhouse and an auction of his movie memorabilia and Jenn has a hard time figuring out if the celebrity's hair is real or a toupee! After yesterday's announcement of Q107’s new Unskinny Bus road trip to Casino Rama to watch Poison and do a live breakfast show with 150 Q listeners, we're talking gambling, drinking too much and sharing weird stories about being in a hot tub with your bros! Derringer, Jenn and Ryan also share some funny stories about pounding back too much of the ol' sauce and getting kicked out of bars and weddings. The Maple Leafs had a huge win last night and Toronto can smell hockey playoffs. Babsy was super excited about the win and had to come down to the Q studio to share his excitement with the win but also had to vent a little about today's announcement that NHL player won't be allowed to compete in the next Olympic games. Derringer and Jenn recap the highlights from last night's Juno awards and dissect The Tragically Hip being "played" off the stage during their acceptance speech in favor of a commercial break. The Blue Jays are back! A police cruiser was parked outside the Q studio this morning and we’re pretty sure they were looking for Ryan but he won’t go quietly into the night — we’ve now got ourselves a hostage situation! Jenn shares what she believes is the most attractive quality in a man and Ryan tells a story that shows just how pathetic of a loser he really is! It's the second day of spring and it's a warm one in Toronto and instantly Derringer's mood has changed... so much so that he broke one of his sacred rules! There's nothing like being in Toronto when the Maple Leafs are playing spring, playoff hockey and what a game last night -- could we make the playoffs? Do you know how to check to see if you have unclaimed money in a Canadian bank account? We're on the up and up -- spring has arrived! The cold weather and snow will be a thing of the past and to celebrate this joyous day, Ryan has some interesting facts about spring to share. Fitting that on this first day of spring, it also happens to be International Day of Happiness, so Derringer and Jenn bring nothing but smiles and laughs to the table, with one exception...
