  • Rick Robertson: Faith to Ask

    07/07/2024 Duración: 40min

Rick Robertson of Jubilee Church Wirral on Matthew 7: 7-11. In this excerpt from the Sermon on the Mount, Rick highlights how clear Jesus is about the goodness of the father, God. Rick also talks about how Jesus constantly tells us to ask God for help in our lives and helps us with how to pray. It’s easy to stop asking, to forget how good God is and to forget that He specifically instructs us to pray. Not once in the entire New Testament does Jesus tell us not to ask for what we want. That doesn’t mean we will be given everything we ask for – but we shouldn’t let that stop us from asking. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Rick-Robertson-Faith-to-Ask.mp3   The post Rick Robertson: Faith to Ask first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral.

  • Graham Webb: The Book of Ruth

    30/06/2024 Duración: 37min

Guest speaker Graham Webb, of Jubilee Church Liverpool, looks at the Book of Ruth. Graham reminds us that God uses “wounded warriors” like Naomi to send a message to non-believers. Believers who remain faithful to Christ, despite what they’re going through, are unusual and powerful and attractive to non-believers. It makes us stand out. By showing kindness to others, we are allowing Jesus to work through us to open the door for a neighbour, friend or colleague to come to God. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Graham-Webb-The-Book-of-Ruth.mp3   The post Graham Webb: The Book of Ruth first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral.

  • Sylvia Billington: The Word of God

    23/06/2024 Duración: 38min

Sylvia on the importance of knowing and regularly reading the word of God – the Bible. Our God is a faithful God, but if we don’t have His words inside us then we can’t stand on them in times of struggle and hardship. Sylvia talks about how when Satan tried to tempt him, Jesus had an answer to every temptation. Every question has an answer in the Bible. Whatever is going on in your life, do you have a word of God for it? https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Sylvia-Billington-The-Word-of-God.mp3   The post Sylvia Billington: The Word of God first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral.

  • Tim Hughes: Father’s Day 2024

    16/06/2024 Duración: 43min

Tim Hughes with our 2024 Father’s Day message. Tim looks at how fathering is more than biology. Everyone listening to or watching this message has not only had a biological father, but had someone who has had influence on their life – whether that’s good or bad. All of us have been an influence on others too, and all of us want to see more good fathering in the world. Tim looks at that the Bible tells us about this, and about how it’s full of good examples of fathers, not least Abraham – the father of many nations. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Tim-Hughes-Fathers-Day-2024.mp3   The post Tim Hughes: Father’s Day 2024 first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral.

  • Graham Hill: The Parable of the Sower

    09/06/2024 Duración: 43min

Graham Hill of Jubilee Church Wirral on the Parable of the Sower and what it means for us today. The Parable of the Sower can be found in Matthew 1: 1-13. That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. 2 Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. 3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.” 10 The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in p

  • Rick Robertson: Adoption

    26/05/2024 Duración: 48min

Rick Robertson: Adoption Rick continues his series on God the Father by looking at what it means to be adopted into God’s family – to become a part of God’s family. Paul talks about this in Galatians 3:26-4:7, Romans 8:12-17 and Ephesians 1:4-6. In these letters, Paul is writing to churches in Galatia, Ephesus and Rome to correct some misunderstandings. The people in these churches have started to live by Old Testament rules and regulations. • Helen O’Brien: Jesus the Divine Authority

    17/03/2024 Duración: 29min

  • Chris Griffiths: Not my will, but yours

    04/03/2024 Duración: 41min

Chris follows our series of messages on who Jesus is by starting to look at what Jesus did. Jesus showed us how to surrender to God’s will. We need to put our faith in God’s will, not our own – just like Noah and Moses. Noah built an ark that was 75 feet wide and 450 feet long taking thousands of man hours. It was not easy and let’s not forget he didn’t have a B&Q to use for materials! Moses is called to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and, after raising objection upon objection, finally accepts God’s will. Fast forward to Jesus. After asking God to take the cup of his crucifixion away, he says “may your will be done.| Jesus conquered his fears through prayer and submission, showing us by example how we can do just that.   https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Chris-Griffiths-Not-my-will-but-yours.mp3   The post Chris Griffiths: Not my will, but yours first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral.
