Sinopsis

Welcome to the Gateway Church Podcast! We want to give you every opportunity to see that God loves you and has a plan for your life. Its our desire that you know God personally, and we would love to help you develop that relationshipone step at a time.As a growing and expanding spiritual community committed to helping people take a step in the right direction towards reaching their ultimate redemptive potential and purpose, we want to introduce people to God and help them develop a personal relationship with Him through His Son Jesus Christ. We desire to reach people with the message that God loves them and that a relationship with Him will transform their lives, enabling them to develop healthy, nurturing relationships with others. We continually endeavour to do this in ways that are both culturally relevant and spiritually dynamic.

  • The Bible Told Me So Jesus

    28/01/2018

We have been everywhere, from the highest peaks to the deepest fathoms. We have seen everything, from the smallest elements to the farthest corners of space. We have built empires, defied gravity, and conquered the elements. We have cured diseases, made a heart beat again, and made the impossible possible again. We are humanity, and there is no limit to what we can accomplish together. In other words, we don’t need God … do we? And yet, wherever we go, we find selfishness and pride and entitlement and greed. We find suspicion and animosity and violence and hate. We find loneliness and stress and anxiety and depression, in epidemic proportions. We find it around us, and sometimes we find it in us. So, do we need God? That’s what this mini-series is about; who needs God.

  • Know God

    07/01/2018

In a world that says there is NO God… we are called to KNOW God. This year we will focus on getting to know God; getting to know who He is by His character, his nature, by what He thinks and what He wants for our lives. "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." - John 17:3 We will look at why we need God in our life, in a culture that doesn’t seem to think He is needed. We will also look at how He can be known, by looking at prayer, devotions, personal disciplines and personal discipleship. Why Jesus? How does the Holy Spirit come alongside and point us to God? How does He empower us to know and to grow? Join the journey as we explore and know Him better.

  • The Power of Community

    31/12/2017

For all of 2017 we focused on community, what it means to be one, what it means to belong to one, to be present with one another and to "be community" to our city. We discovered that we are better together! Watch as we reflect on the year, on the power of community and look forward to 2018.

  • Faith for Uncertainty

    24/12/2017

December 3 - 24 Christmas – it’s a time when people get together with friends and family possibly more than any other time of the year. And yet it’s a time when many people are more lonely than any other time of the year. It’s the time when people experience discouragement, conflict, sorrow and uncertainty more than ever. This is the reality of our world, our society, our lives. So, what do people need most at Christmastime? More gifts? More parties? More carols? More eggnog? We believe what we really need at Christmas is community – a place where we can experience hope for discouragement, peace for conflict, joy for sorrow, and faith for uncertainty.

  • Running on Empty

    26/11/2017

Are you thirsty? If we’re honest with ourselves, we would admit that we are all looking for something to quench our thirst. What is it that you are looking for to fill your cup? Significance? Purpose? Love? Security? Possessions? You might not even be sure what you’re looking for. Let us help you understand what God is offering to use to fill your cup.

  • Diversify

    12/11/2017

If we asked you, “Would you like to be rich?” We bet we’d know what you’d say. If we asked you, “Are you already rich?” you might say yes, or no.The answer depends on who you’re comparing yourself to, and what being rich actually means. We tend to compare ourselves to those who have a lot more than we do, rather than those who have a lot less. Compared to most people in the world, almost everyone in our city is wealthy. How should we define what it actually means to be rich? What if instead of just money, assets or investments, we could be rich in love, compassion, giving, good deeds, and generosity? Someone who knew a lot about this said, “Give and it will be given to you.” Now that sounds rich!

  • We Give You Thanks

    08/10/2017

October 8 Thank you. It's just one word; but how much would our lives change if we used it a little more often? If we were a bit more thankful, perhaps we would savor each day a little more and live a little richer. Today, on Thanksgiving Day, we pause and thank God for the blessings in our lives.
