We Need to Hear From You
01/10/2017October 1 We talk about “being in the will of God”, for all of the choices we need to make in our lives, and we talk about wanting to “know the will of God”, for those choices, but we don’t often spend a lot of time pursuing it. Prayer is an expression, a measure, of our relationship with God. Relationships take a long time. Spend time with Him. Talk with Him. Listen for Him. Watch and learn how to have a great sense of His power in our every day lives.

A Relationship with God
24/09/2017There’s a TV show called This is Us which is just into its second season. It simply shows who these people are, what they’re like, how they live, where they’re going, when they have life-changing moments, and why they are both ordinary and yet extraordinary. They could be like any of us. Let us ask you: Which direction are you headed? Is it the right one? What steps are you taking? Are you heading towards fulfilling your potential and purpose? What values do you hold to above all else? Are you able to truly live out what you value? Are your relationships bringing health and wholeness to your life? Are you experiencing true community? We invite you to discover all of these, and we’d love to help you with that. It all begins with a step in the right direction. This is us. We’d love for you to be us too.

A Community of Faith
18/06/2017These days there’s a lot of talk about what “stand” we take, or what “stands” we should take. What do you “stand” for? What do you believe? Public declarations are made on a daily basis via “Likes”, Tweets, posts, comments etc, all screaming out “This is me! This is who I am!” We do this because we want people to know us; we want people to know what and who we identify with and belong to. Today we talked about, and demonstrated through water baptism, what it looks like to identify with and belong to Christ.

Worshiping Together
11/06/2017“I’m fine on my own. I don’t need help. I don’t need anyone. I’ll manage.” These are some of the biggest lies people have been tempted to believe. When life is coasting along just fine, we’re tempted to believe them too. We’re tempted to think that being who we want and getting what we want are more important than who others are and what they need. Somehow we think that “me” is more important than “we”. Somehow we believe that we’re better on our own! “I can’t do this alone. I need help. I need others and they need me.” These are some of the biggest truths we can believe. We connect together. We learn together. We grow together. We reach out together. We serve together. We even worship together. We are better together. At Gateway Church we believe that you have a purpose, and that you can discover it in community… together!
