The Formal Gamer : A Dungeons And Dragons Podcast

Welcome back to the Formal Gamer.  Our heroes have got some planning to do for their big adventure, but unfortunately they have a very frosty relationship, to say the least.  Grot and Dante are finding it hard to get along, maybe it's a deep seated mistrust from both parties, or more likely it's good old fashioned sexual tension.  You can check out the character art on the website, and enjoy the episode.

Well this is it...the official start of Season 2.  It's all change at the Formal Gamer offices.  Ludvig is now the DM.  The DM is now playing Dante, some sort of fighter.  And honestly that's about it.  We start this new campaign with the same levels of fun, and getting ourselves set up for the nonsense which is to come.  Also Dante was genuinely concussed hours before this podcast, so if he seems a little off do forgive him, he knows not what he does.  Enjoy the episode and the new season.  Yours Sincerely, The DM.

It's the season finale.  I'm sure that you are weeping, but do not fret.  Season 2 starts this Wednesday.  That's right, for season 2 the Formal Gamer will be released twice a week.  So sit back and listen to the final episode of season 1 with the knowledge that Season 2 is not far away.  Will Ludvig, Yenwood and Igor be able to deal with the Double Dragons?  Will they all survive this harrowing ordeal?  Or will it just end in confused chaos as always?  There is one sure fire way to find out...enjoy the episode.

Ludvig is a Gnome on her own, her friends are down in the bottom of a Château and she is on the back of a dragon.  This situation certainly can't go wrong. The guys are revelling in their success against the mighty Ettin, they are literally standing on his body showing off about how strong they are.  Unfortunately they remember that there is a bigger issue outside in the form of a massive dragon.  They decide to get about the business of dragon slaying, and as always things get out of hand rather quickly.  Enjoy the episode.

This weeks episode sees our heroes trying to reunite with their wizard companion Fant, who had become separated from the group.  There's some classic stairs action, and we meet our good friend the Ettin again, hopefully he's in a better mood after getting blown off a building.  Probably not.  As always check out our twitter and our Facebook page for more art and info.  Enjoy.

The guys have to calculate the physics of what would happen if you blew up a roof covered in Orcs and Goblins.  It turns out physics is very challenging, but the guys work out the chaos, and the results are incredible, hilarious and in the end stupid.  As always.

As our now slightly grizzled, and probably exhausted, heroes stand on the roof of a Chateau they realise they are facing a real big and real bad guy in the form of an Etin (a two headed troll).  Will they engage in brave and fearsome combat?  Or will they try to sneak out of the situation as normal?  I think you can probably guess.

The band of baffling misfits have realised their plan has gone all awry and decide that engaging in some rooftop combat is the best idea they've had.  They also realise their the oil has more than one use.  Maybe the people at BP need to listen t this episode?  Maybe they don't.

Our heroic gang have handed out their loot, but footsteps are coming their way and decisions need to be made....as always these are rash and foolish decision which lead to more problems.  The gang also get to witness the awesome power of gravity in all it's glory.  Some new art has also gone up on our twitter and Facebook.  Check it out.

The crew have defeated some troublesome bad guys and they get some exciting news...there's loot!  The guys have to decide how to split up their bounty and who get's which boots.  Oh and there's also a dragon somewhere causing some trouble.  But surely that can wait till all the loot is divided.  

After Yenwood's turn the the dark side at the end of last episode the gang find themselves standing atop a tower with an Orc body slowly sizzling away to nothing.  They now need to come up with a plan to find this damn dragon, and not give away their position to the vast Orc army amassing below.

The gang have reached the bottom of a large tower, and now have the difficult job of ascending the tower without alerting the horde of Goblins living inside the château.  What will they find at the top?  More action and adventure or an untimely death.  Maybe both.

The gang have finished fighting a load of bats, and just when they think they've got the jump on the goblins and orcs.  Unfortunately they hear some explosions, and rather than their well planned attack it all just turns to chaos.  As always.  Check us out at TheDevilsBench.com which is our new home.

Our valiant gang of heroes has reached the outer walls of the Château, but have spotted something moving near the secret entrance they've been using to get secret access to the Château.  How will they deal with this Goblin menace?  Efficiently?  Or will they just blunder through, doing more damage to themselves than their enemies?  I think you can probably guess.  As always find us on Facebook, Twitter and check out our art and maps at formalgamer.podbean.com .

Our crew are holed up in the town hall again, this time with the remaining survivors of the goblin and orc attacks.  The guys have to make an inspirational rallying cry too lead them into battle.  As always find us on Facebook, Twitter or check out our website for all the art and maps we've created.

The gang start in the aftermath of their woodland battle, and realise that they need to get back to Hathorne and Fant for some advice as to what to do next, and also to ask some very pressing questions.  The group also ponder on whether trying to find Godar is worth their time...Poor Godar.  As always find us on Facebook and Twitter and send us any art of feedback you want.

Our heroes are still fighting on the road to Arne, but for once they seem to be in control.  Their quest to remove the teeth out of the Orc Mage (who is apparently some sort of priest) seems to be going well, but as always with our party things always seem to go awry.  And as always the group seem to have lost Godar, will they be able to find him once more?
