In modern-day Egypt, professor Daniel Jackson (Spader) teams up with retired Army Col. Jack O'Neil (Russell) to unlock the code of an interstellar gateway to an ancient Egypt-like world. They arrive on a planet ruled by the despotic Ra (Davidson), who holds the key to the Earth travelers' safe return. Now, in order to escape from their intergalactic purgatory, Jackson and O'Neil must convince the planet's people that Ra must be overthrown.

Directed by Celilia Aranovich Hamilton, Scooby-Doo! And Krypto, Too! is the animated direct-to-video mystery film produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment. Directed by Randal Kleiser (in his directorial debut), Grease is based on the stage musical of the same name by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. This episode of Rewind & Review will look at the musical romantic comedy film that, much like the majority of its actors, is now 45 years old! Grease explores the friendships, romances and adventures of a group of high school kids in the 1950s. A wholesome Australian transfer student Sandy Olsson (Olivia Newton-John) and a leather-clad greaser Danny Zuko (John Travolta) develop an attraction for each other during a summer romance, but they face conflict when they realise that their relationship crosses clique lines.

Almost human. Almost perfect. Almost under control. Directed by Roland Emmerich, Universal Soldier is the military science-fiction action film starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren. Luke and Jae take on the futuristic bad attitudes presented in this 1992 movie, which was spawned multiple films and was adapted into a three-part comic miniseries that same year - written by Clint McElroy and published by NOW Comics. During the Vietnam War, soldier Luc Deveraux (Van Damme) finds that his superior officer, Andrew Scott (Lundgren), has turned violently deranged, and the two fight to the death. After their bodies are retrieved, they are placed into a secret program in which they are reanimated and trained to become unquestioning killing machines. While Devereaux and Scott initially have no memory of their former lives, glimpses of their pasts start to return, rekindling their intense conflict.

Up and away! Developed by Jake Wyatt, My Adventures with Superman is the animated superhero series based on the DC Comics character Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Luke and Jae return to the world of animated DC as they discuss the 10-episode first season of this Warner Bros. Animation produced show. The story follows Clark Kent (Jack Quaid) as he builds his secret identity as Superman and explores his mysterious origins, and Lois Lane (Alice Lee) whom Clark develops a crush on and vice-versa, who is on her way to becoming a star reporter. Teaming up with photographer and Clark's best friend Jimmy Olsen (Ishmel Sahid), the trio breaks the stories that matter and save the day against many villains in the city of Metropolis, while also contending with Task Force X.

Murder is so 1987! Directed by Nahnatchka Khan, Totally Killer is the black comedy slasher film produced by the totally rad Jason Blum and starring Kiernan Shipka. Thirty-five years after the shocking murder of three teens, the infamous "Sweet Sixteen Killer" returns on Halloween night to claim a fourth victim. Seventeen-year-old Jamie (Kiernan Shipka) ignores her overprotective mom's (Julie Bowen) warning and comes face-to-face with the masked maniac and, on the run for her life, accidentally time travels back to 1987, the year of the original killings. Forced to navigate the unfamiliar and outrageous culture of the 1980s, Jamie teams up with her teen mom (Olivia Holt) to take down the killer once and for all, before she's stuck in the past forever.

Death is different here on Paramount+. Directed by Lindsey Anderson Beer, Pet Sematary: Bloodlines is the supernatural horror film which serves as a prequel to Pet Sematary (2019), which in turn was based on the 1983 novel of the same name by Stephen King. In 1969, a young Jud Crandall (Jackson White) dreams of escaping his hometown, until he discovers the malevolent secrets of what is buried in a cemetery. He confronts a haunting family legacy that forever connects him to the place and unites with his childhood friends as they face an ancient evil that has plagued Ludlow from its inception.

James Gunn clarifies a few things regarding the DCU and what is canon and who's returning, John Woo brings the Christmas cheer in the first trailer for Silent Night, and there's a picture of Joaquin Phoenix's Joker featuring colourful umbrellas. Jason Statham vows to put an end to telephone scammers in The Beekeeper, Disney+ has a few renewals for us, and Home Economics faces the three season curse (spoiler alert... it's cancelled).

This time there's two possessed girls! Directed by David Gordon Green, The Exorcist: Believer is the supernatural horror film which serves as a sequel to The Exorcist (1973). It is the sixth instalment in The Exorcist franchise but disregards any events featured in any previous instalment or television show, except for the original film. Since the death of his pregnant wife in a Haitian earthquake 12 years ago, Victor Fielding (Leslie Odom, Jr) has raised their daughter, Angela (Lidya Jewett) on his own. But when Angela and her friend Katherine (Olivia Marcum), disappear in the woods, only to return three days later with no memory of what happened to them, it unleashes a chain of events that will force Victor, in his terror and desperation, to seek out the only person alive who has witnessed anything like it before: Chris MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn).

Created and written by Dave Filoni for Disney+, Ahsoka is the television miniseries which is part of the Star Wars franchise and a spin-off from the series The Mandalorian (2019 - present) while also serving as a continuation to the animated series Star Wars Rebels (2014 - 2018). Luke and Jae leave their animated selves behind and go full live-action for this series which stars Rosario Dawson as the title character Ahsoka Tano. After the fall of the Galactic Empire, former Jedi Knight Ahsoka investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

Directed by Chris McKenna, The LEGO Batman Movie is the 2017 computer-animated superhero comedy film based on the characters from the DC Universe created by DC Comics and the Lego DC Super Heroes' Batman toy line. Luke and Nathan return to the world of colourful bricks and imagination for the first spin-off in The LEGO Movie franchise and the second installment overall. There are big changes brewing in Gotham, but if Batman (Will Arnett) wants to save the city from the Joker's (Zach Galifianakis) hostile takeover, he may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up. Maybe his superhero sidekick Robin (Michael Cera) and loyal butler Alfred (Ralph Fiennes) can show him a thing or two.

Developed by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick and Michael Jonathan Smith, Twisted Metal is the post-apocalyptic action comedy television series based on the vehicular combat video game franchise of the same name published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Luke and Jae check out the full first season of this Peacock series which stars Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Seanoa, Will Arnett and Thomas Haden Church. A motor-mouthed outsider is offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.

This home invasion is a little bit different... Written, directed, and produced by Brian Duffield, No One Will Save You is the science fiction horror film starring Kaitlyn Dever - out now on Disney+. Brynn Adams (Kaitlyn Dever) is a creative and talented young woman who’s been alienated from her community. Lonely but ever hopeful, Brynn finds solace within the walls of the home where she grew up - until she's awakened one night by strange noises from decidedly unearthly intruders. When the Scarab suddenly chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he is bestowed with an incredible suit of armour capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the superhero Blue Beetle.

Developed by Craig Kyle and Greg Johnson, Wolverine and the X-Men is the animated series produced by Marvel Entertainment. It is the fourth animated adaption of the Marvel Comics X-Men characters following Pryde of the X-Men (1989), X-Men: The Animated Series (1992), and X-Men: Evolution (2000). Luke and Nathan travel to the days of future past, also known as 2008, to revisit this 26-episode single season comic book series. After an explosion at the school, the X-Men went their separate ways. But they must unite once again under the leadership of Wolverine to prevent an inevitable war in a battle against the injustices of the Mutant Response Division (MRD).

In the future, one man in the law! Directed by Danny Cannon, Judge Dredd is the science fiction action film based on the 2000 AD comics character of the same name. Luke and [co-host] return to the crime-ridden future that is 2080, as depicted in 1995, for this Sylvester Stallone led movie. In the crime-plagued future, the only thing standing between order and chaos is Judge Joseph Dredd (Sylvester Stallone). His duty: police the violent metropolitan sprawls that crowd the decaying earth, and kill criminals on the spot if necessary. The tables are turned, however, when maniacal ex-Judge Rico (Armand Assante) frames Dredd for murder.

Directed by Simon West, The Expendables 2 is the action film written by Richard Wenk and Sylvester Stallone. Luke and Jae go back for war in this 2012 sequel to The Expendables (2010) and second installment in The Expendables film series. Who have we got this time? Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Liam Hemsworth, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger! The Expendables team reunite when they are hired for a seemingly easy job. But things go terribly wrong, compelling the mercenaries to seek revenge for a comrade's murder. With the odds against them, the team are hell-bent on payback and cut a path of destruction through opposing forces, only to encounter an unexpected threat: six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium.

Sit back. Relax. Enjoy the fright. Directed by David R. Ellis, Snakes on a Plane is the ation horror film written by David Delessandro, John Heffernan, and Sebastian Gutierrez. Luke and Jae board the 2006 thrill ride that turned into a limited comic series published by WildStorm Productions. FBI agent Nelville Flynn (Samuel L. Jackson) boards a flight from Hawaii to Los Angeles, escorting a witness to trial. An on-board assassin releases a crate of deadly serpents in an attempt to kill the witness. Flynn and a host of frightened passengers and crew must band together to survive the slithery threat.

The greateast evil in The Conjuring Universe returns! Directed by Michael Chaves, The Nun II is the gothic supernatural horror film which serves as a sequel to The Nun (2018) and is the ninth instalment in The Conjuring Universe franchise. 1956 – France. A priest is murdered. An evil is spreading. Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga) once again comes face-to-face with Valek, the demon nun.
