Jim DeMint of South Carolina plans to force the Senate to read aloud both the US-Russia nuclear arms treaty and the 1900 page omnibus spending bill before the chamber can vote on them. • Oregon Update -- ICE seizing internet sites

    03/12/2010 Duración: 01h01min

Clif and Robin discussed the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) along with Homeland security seized the domain names of 82 Internet websites under the new Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act (COICA) redirecting users to a US government site with a notice stating that, "this domain name has been seized by ICE-Homeland security investigations pursuant to a seizure warrant issued by the United States District Court under the authority of 18 USC 981 and 2323..." the websites have been closed down for illegal filesharing and and selling counterfeit goods such as sports equipment, athletic apparel and illegal copies of copyrighted DVDs and music. while I will admit that these sites could be guilty of illegal activity, what is the Immigration and Customs Enforcement who is supposed to be focusing on "immigration and customs enforcement" issues doing going after filesharing websites? also local news, Portland, Oregon known as the Christmas Tree bomber pleads not guilty and that he was

  • Oregon Update--offended over the American flag...

    19/11/2010 Duración: 01h01min

If you're offended over the American flag... then get the hell out of our country! When I saw this story where officials in Denair California TOLD a middle school student to take the US flag off his bike for his own safety and to avoid racial tension because people at the school were complaining about him displaying the flag of OUR COUNTRY, however it is okay for Hispanic students to display the Mexican flag during Cinco de Mayo holiday is totally BS. Where has this country come to when people have to be afraid of retaliation for proudly displaying old glory? It is unfortunate that it took pressure from around the country to force the school to apologize to Cody and to allow him to display the flag on his bike. So what do you think? Should this type of attitude be allowed, should we be embarrassed to fly old glory? Have we really become a country where we are embarrassed to be an American? And are we going to stand up and say we're not going to take this anymore? Join us this Friday 10 a.m.

  • Oregon Update--Friday Morning Rant

  • Oregon Update--Post election & New TSA regulations

    05/11/2010 Duración: 01h01min

Clif and Robin will talk about the election results both in Oregon and nationwide. Did your candidate win or lose... call us and share that with us Plus, The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has some new rules to reach out and "touch" the flying public in a way that one could say is the rather personal... and intimate. under the new system, you are offered two choices. #1, the backscatter body scanner which involves over the closed searches of passengers breasts and genitalia areas. For those that object to the invasiveness of the new technology, one can choose the old-fashioned "personal touch" [literally] by having the security agent do a "patdown" starting from the legs and working their way up until they "meet some resistance" and more or less confirm that you are anatomically correct so to speak . I guess is places new meaning on "flying the friendly skies." {click for more information} Hope you will join us join us this Friday morning at 10 a.m. Pacific Time for this or any

  • Oregon Update--Pre-Election

    29/10/2010 Duración: 01h00s

Should President Obama to be cruising around the nation campaigning for Democrats. His recent visit to Portland cost at least $150,000 just for security, and that was just one stop in his tour to promote the Democrats except for Frank Caprio who told the president that he "can take his endorsement and shove it." (Which is okay because the president was not going to endorse him anyways) beside that point, when you take into consideration the cost of flying Air Force One including transporting the support vehicles, plus all the other costs that are involved in transporting a president from one area to another can range up words to millions of dollars. So the question is, is that really the role of the president to be spending his time and OUR money in this manner campaigning for other candidates We will also talk about the upcoming election in general locally and nationwide. If you have a comment about a candidate or one that you would like to promote or would like to make a prediction who the winn

Would you break the law if it meant your health or your life? How about trying to sleep in a room that is 115° and knowing that you have an air conditioner available but BY LAW YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO USE IT. Most people are unaware that this unhealthy and totally avoidable situation is what thousands of truck drivers are faced with under the new EPA's anti-idling regulations that prevents drivers from idling their trucks during times of extreme weather conditions. Violators of these regulations in some areas risk fines up to $10,000 and one year of imprisonment. Here is an example of some of the rules and penalties compiled by state http://www.warontruckers.com/pdffiles/2010_ATRI_Idling_Compendium.pdf If you have any stories to tell regarding these anti-Idol laws, we would love to hear from you. please call or send us an e-mail at talk@KRBNradio.com and we'll read them on the air.

  • Oregon Update --Blackbox in Cars

    31/07/2010 Duración: 01h01min

The blackbox in your car -- you know the same device that you hear about in airplanes... but why did have one in your car? To record the performance of the car like they do in the Indy 500? Not necessarily. That little black box which can take the form of a separate device or built into the car's computer is constantly spying on you. It records everything that you do in your car. It records how fast you were going... how hard you're pushing on the brake pedal... and more.... and the 21st century, investigators are utilizing "black boxes" in cars to help seek convictions when reconstructing an accident.... however, at some point will the police be able to convict you for speeding simply by connecting to your "blackbox"... is access to the blackbox protected under the Constitution? And should you be informed that your car has a blackbox installed in it. we will also touch on the judge's ruling on Arizona's SB 1070..........Join Clif and Robin Saturday morning 10 a.m. Pacific Time

  • Oregon Update --"If only had teeth down there!"

    24/07/2010 Duración: 01h00s

This was a comment by a rape victim when she looked up at Sonnet Ehlers the inventor of an anti-rape device called Rape-aXe, a device that latches itself onto the skin of the attacker. It is really sad that in this day and age in the 21st century that women have still to be concerned about being forcefully violated. We invite your opinions and comments regarding this device or any other that you may have heard of in the war against rape. For more information regarding this product, go to http://www.antirape.co.za/ .............. Heather will be joining Clif and Robin in studio for her views on this topic. Be sure to join us this Saturday at 10 a.m. Pacific (646) 721-9887

  • Oregon Update --Federal Government Versus Arizona

    10/07/2010 Duración: 01h01min

The federal government versus Arizona on who will enforce the immigration laws. What's been a hot topic in the news, there hasn't been too much discussion about the consequences of what will happen depending on who wins the battle. Additionally, why is the federal government so upset at Arizona for passing local legislation to enforce federal laws? Could it be the federal government has other plans of its own? Clif and Robin will discuss this topic and more today on Oregon update. NOTE: four minutes of silence at the beginning of the program -- operator error :-)
