A month into the season and there are some things that are making us wonder when it comes to the Habs. In particular the penalty kill, the play of Paul Byron, Drouin's ascent, and how one of the Habs' top prospects will impact the team. With Kotkaniemi out with a groin injury, Ryan Poehling is getting his first shot with the club this season against none other then the Bruins. It's finally here! The season starts with the Habs on the road against the Carolina Hurricanes in what was a VERY entertaining 65+ minutes of hockey! This time it was only Veronica and Dave around to talk Habs, but they go over the opening roster, some surprises during the game, and a bit of a surprise in Laval. Aside from that, Dave's rancor towards Carolina is in full swing before his vacation. That means there will be no new Habby Hour episodes until (we think) October 21! Operating on a modified schedule the Habby Hour brings you the conclusion of the preseason! One that shows the Habs finishing it with a positive record on this Saturday night. We talk a little bit about the games in the past week but mostly we focus on the last game of the preseason against the Senators. Aside from the games, we have some thoughts on some suspect media coverage from the usual suspects, and some updates to the podcast for the coming weeks! As has been mentioned, David will be traveling to Japan so he will not be able to produce the podcast! That means the next two weeks will have NO episodes! Sorry! Another week has passed in free agency and despite us mentioning it on Twitter, there was ZERO movement from the Habs!  So, what did we end up talking about?  Some supposed drama between JJD and Alzner, the coaching staff in general, what the absence of Shaw means for the Habs, but most importantly...  Our player of the week!  None other than Jesperi Kotkaniemi!  July 18, 2019.

Nothing happened!  Then Twitter went down!  And then???  The Habs Finnished.  Two players were signed for contracts today, leaving only another couple of RFAs to sort out before the start of the season.  We can be sure that this is not the last of Bergevin's moves as the off season continues.  We discuss this, and, disclaimer, a LOT else that doesn't have anything to do with hockey!  The dog days of the off season have come, so prepare for a lot more than hockey in this episode of the Habby Hour!  July 11, 2019.

With the draft behind us we can all start looking forward to the camps during the summer, and eventually, a new season of Habs hockey!  As such, this is the beginning of the third season of the Habby Hour and we start it off with a guest in Sean Gordon!  One of the gifted writers from The Athletic, Mr. Gordon shares some of his insights on the draft and some behind the scenes moments in Vancouver.  We also talk about the recent development camp for the new players, the current state of hockey, and if there's any meat to the rumors surrounding Duchene's visit to Montreal.  All this and more in this episode of the Habby Hour!  June 27, 2019.

Welcome to the season finale!  This is our second episode this week and we wanted to bring on an expert regarding the draft.  Thankfully, Grant McCagg was able to accommodate us!  He is a former scout for the Montreal Canadiens and the head of Recrutes.ca where he sells his draft guide to the needy masses!  Mr. McCagg took our questions and gave us some much needed insight on the draft and his opinions on some of the players currently on the roster.  That and we bemoaned AirBnb!  June 20, 2019.
