We Got Nothin'

This episode wasn't planned to go this way. It just so happened that things were unfolding leading up to recording and it and the best thing to do, when something hurts emotionally, is talk about it. Fortunately, we have a podcast. 

Kim's Here! Part Deux. Longer than a normal episode but totally worth it! Kickin' it off with SWTIC. Yeah, that's how we type it now. Kim tells us about Hedy Lamarr. Lance talks about Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. Joe tells us about a guy who gives no f**ks. We work in some sex education talk. Did you have "The Talk?" Then dating stories and religion. Things got real at the end of this visit. 

Kim's Here! Part One. Joe tells us about his new cop friends. A little T-Swift talk. Lance tries to ask Kim a question. Then they spend the rest of the episode discussing movies and music of their childhood. 

Starting with poor memory of old sitcom characters and diving into some Rocky Horror talk. Then we get in to some celebrity stories. Tim Curry, David Duchovny, Stan Lee, Lea Thompson, Paula Abdul, and Bette Middler. 

Part Two: Stuff We Think Is Cute? Eventually we get to Cool. Things like Joe's love for local events, Jamie's love for Sherlock stories and Lance breaks out one of his favorite Alanis songs. Then the gang shares some embarrassing stories. Which, apparently, is very hard for Joe to do. He gets there though!  

Part one: Jamie's back! She's also kinda sick. We start off this open conversation with talks of when you just hate everything. This, of course, leads into some divorce chat and how complicated dating life is. 

Just one of those days, I suppose. Don't worry though! It all gets turned around at the end with some talk of Ol' Blue Eyes and some Tommy Boy quotes. 

Everyone is doing each other on TV shows and cruise ships, right? Jury duty talk followed by Stuff We Think Is Cool. This time its Deadpool 2 and Evanescence's album Synthesis. Also, don't use Enya as your alarm. 

It was all leading up to this... Maddie Poppe won American Idol so you know we are gonna talk about it because she is basically Joe's favorite person ever. So we discuss the episode and then make our way in to our very first Stuff We Think Is Cool segment. Joe brought us Maddie's new single and Lance talks some R.E.M.

A bonus episode recorded on May 19th, 2018. Another name for that day... Joe's Birthday! Five friends discuss the royal wedding, Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers and the quality of Lance's hands.

The show kicks off with everyone taking personality tests. Lance and Joe win. Then a little music talk followed by some comedian and late night talk show discussion. Also, if you fall asleep during a movie, Lance will judge you. Then, to wrap it up, there is some serious Avengers talk which gets quite spoilery. I mean, how have you not seen it yet?

Our Friend Jamie Q visits the studio! Joe went to see Maddie Poppe in Clarksville while she visited before the big American Idol finale. He's probably gonna be on tv. Jamie went to Boston. Is George a sexy name? Jamie hates pop sockets but loves books. 

The guys dive into some deep questions in an effort to learn more about one another. Kicking it off with their favorite fruit flavor. Ok, maybe not that deep. Actually it does get a little dark there in the middle. Then they bring it on home by discussing what fictional character they would like to meet. 

Joe finally saw Infinity War and gives it a solid 4 out of 5. Also, Joe's friend Maddie made it to the top 3 in American Idol. Lance and Joe both recall how idiotic they were at 20. Apparently everyone needs to watch The Brak Show. Petroleum Joe tells us about his crazy weekend and Lance talks about records. 

This wasn't the original plan for the episode but you get what you get. Sorry/Not Sorry. From Hall and Oates to Bret Michaels and a bunch of  "Weird Al" in between. Joe and Lance have you covered. 

Would you be scared of the dark without having seen a scary movie? The guys have different opinions. Other things. discussed... Dreams are weird, David Tennant makes a good serial killer, Joe's dentist should definitely be a sponsor and if someone who normally snores isn't snoring... that doesn't mean that they are necessarily dead.

Lance and Joe's friend Jonas comes by to chat. Although the podcast is only 86 minutes, these guys talked for over 3 hours. Topics like Jonas' upcoming trip to Europe, whiskey, plants, the B that stole Jonas' shirt and then, as one would expect, politics and religion. This is what happens when you record late at night with alcohol, people.
