  • Ep 475: 8 Lessons From The Last 18 Months + Starting A New Chapter

    30/06/2024 Duración: 01h41min

Yesterday I recorded this raw and real business update. I’m sharing 8 lessons I’ve learned from the last 18 months in business. It has been TOUGH and it’s also been exactly what I needed in so many ways (even though I wish it wasn’t). In this episode I share so many things that I’ve wanted to share but have been too embarrassed and ashamed about. I’ve felt like I couldn’t share my struggles the same way I did in the past because I should have ‘figured it out’ by now. This is definitely not a helpful thought nor is it true. And it’s stopped me from creating my favourite content - honest behind the scenes updates about the work I’m doing on my business and my own perfectionism. So I’m returning to what I love doing and trusting that I don’t need to be perfect in order to be perfectly helpful. The 1st of July is a new chapter for me and my business. So this episode recaps the lessons and wins from the last 18 months so I can powerfully move on. And so that you can too if you’ve been making some of the mistakes t

Her dreams of starting a coaching business had been on the backburner for years. And having a second child felt like too much to handle. Fast forward to today and Eliška has two successful businesses and is 8 months pregnant with baby number two. Thanks to her success, her husband was able to quit his job as a CEO to be at home with the kids. Power Planning allowed Eliška to simplify everything she was doing and find time for more. That means more time with her family, more connection with her husband and more business success too. Once Eliška got her perfectionist mindset working for her instead of against her, making space for what matters became easy. This is why Power Planning works for entrepreneurs at all levels of income. When your perfectionist mindset is on your side, your business grows no matter what stage you’re at. In today’

This episode is your invitation to believe in yourself and your business. Because if you don't believe in yourself and in your business, then you're not actually going to take the steps you need to take to have it be successful. And the irony of that is, we often want our business to be successful, so we can believe in it and believe in ourselves. But you really have to be willing to go first. Tune in to hear my experience with that, why it’s so important for perfectionists, and how believing in yourself can lead to taking action even with doubts and setbacks. • Ep 467: Do You Have A Knowledge Problem, A Resource Problem Or An Implementation Problem?

    09/06/2024 Duración: 01h43min

In this episode I’m sharing how to identify whether it’s a knowledge problem, a resource problem or an implementation problem that is stopping your business from growing. You’ll learn how to identify which one you have and what to do to actually solve for it. And in case you genuinely have all of those problems - say you literally don’t have enough knowledge, time, money, energy and courage to build your business the way you want - you’ll learn how to prioritise these problems so you can find a solution for all of them. When it comes to business, we often invest a lot of time, money and energy into solving the wrong problem. We end up getting so frustrated and feeling so ashamed because we feel like there's something wrong with us that we aren't making more progress. • Ep 465: How To Tell If You're Spinning Your Wheels Trying To Solve A False Problem

    26/05/2024 Duración: 33min

There are two reasons I’m sharing a coaching call excerpt with you from my program Perfectionists Getting Shit Done: Firstly, because if you’re a perfectionist entrepreneur then you need to know about false problems. Our brains create problems to keep us busy and distracted. This way we can subconsciously avoid solving more uncomfortable problems in our business or we get to avoid doing uncomfortable work. In this call you’ll  hear me spot a false problem that my client was having and help her work through what’s really going on for her in her business.  The second reason I wanted to share this call is because it’s such a great example of the power of being inside Perfectionists Getting Shit Done. We perfectionists love to be self-sufficient in our mindset work. We feel embarrassed for others to see our messy brains and feel like getting help from others is a sign that we aren’t smart enough to do it on our own. But when we’re completely self-sufficient, there are blindspots that never get uncovered because i

  • Ep 464: 12 Thoughts That Will Make Content Creation Easy For Your Perfectionist Brain

    19/05/2024 Duración: 45min

In this episode, I’m sharing 12 thoughts that helped me create content in a really easy, enjoyable, sustainable way that has proven to be really effective for my perfectionist brain. I wanted to record this in response to a PGSDer who posted about starting a podcast inside my group coaching program Perfectionists Getting Shit Done (aka PGSD). These thoughts will help you create content simply and easily, and they can also be applied to other areas of your business to empower you to show up fully. Because yes, there might be some technical things that you need to set up when it comes to content creation. But trusting yourself - or what we call self-trust - is the most important ingredient so your perfectionist brain can create high-quality content easily. I’ve made over $2 million in my business, most of which has come from this podcast, and the times I’ve made the most money and the most impact with people have been when I’m in a high level of self-trust. Tune in and find out why this is the case for perfecti

    12/05/2024 Duración: 39min

In today’s episode, I want to talk to you about clear financial goals for your business and having lifestyle parameters around them. I’ve been having conversations with people about this topic - and we discuss this a lot in my program Perfectionists Getting Shit Done - so I hope you find this episode helpful. When you listen to the end, you’ll learn about how a clear financial goal and lifestyle parameters help you go all in on your business without sacrificing work-life balance.  Find the full episode transcript and show notes at samlaurabrown.com/episode463.
