Episodios

  • Episode 23: The Emperor

    05/05/2012 Duración: 01h04s

We've been a bit delayed with our pods but we're back! This week Khai and Amelia meet up with familiar voice on WAMMcast, Mr. Gavin Yap, and WAMMcast virgin Aple Ang - director and actress (respectively) for the upcoming Platform production 'The Emperor'!

  • Episode 22: It's The End Of The World Now Run Screaming

    13/04/2012 Duración: 01h15min

This week Khai and Amelia have a seat with the cast of upcoming EMP production 'It's The End of the World Now Run Screaming', part of the Open Director's Showcase. Listen in as they talk about the production, how they got into theatre and the size of a Japanese cock. This is probably one of the most hilarious episodes with guests and it gets silly very, VERY quickly. Though we must warn you - this is also the first episode where the 'N' bomb gets dropped but it's not meant to be said in a derogatory manner and we hope it doesn't offend anyone. If anything, this is what happens when people in other parts of the world are not exposed to the racial history of other countries. Enjoy, and don't forget to catch the performance of these crazy kids on stage next week.

  • Episode 21: The Honorable Datuk Lady Legionaire... now in 3D

    28/03/2012 Duración: 01h22min

This week Amelia and Khai discuss the possibility of Malaysian 3D movies, Bunohan's box office, Malaysian cinematic experiences in general and the proper way to address Datuk Michelle Yeoh now that she's been given an award from France.

  • Episode 20: Tony Eusoff

    21/03/2012 Duración: 01h20min

This week's special guest is non-other than actor of the screen and stage, Mr Tony Eusoff! After an opening ten minutes of random meanderings on Draw Something, Kylie Minogue and old school hip-hop (thanks in no small part to Tony still trying to recover from the Future Music Festival), listen in as we talk about how he went from selling enemas and medical supplies to doctors to landing his first gig as a talent in an ad before breaking out in TV, film and theatre. We also talk about his thoughts on the local entertainment industry and how one still keeps working and stays relevant. A must listen for all you budding actors and actresses out there.

  • Episode 19: Gossip Camping & the Death of a Sonic Screwdriver

    14/03/2012 Duración: 01h25min

It's been a pretty long time since Khai and Amelia commented on what's going on in the local creative arts world but they've finally found time out of their busy schedules to sit down and talk absolute nonsense. So listen in as they talk about how actors want government permission to tint their car windows darker, the love of a good tortoise and just how metal Vikingdom looks. You'll also get to hear Michael chiming in every once in a while as he does work in the background as well as the death of Khai's sonic screwdriver at the hands of Gimme.

  • Episode 18: Boom!

    21/02/2012 Duración: 01h05min

Since we didn't put up any pods for quite a while we're trying to catch up the best way we know how - with a second episode on the same day! After looking back at the ups and downs of 2012, we interview director David Lim and actresses Sharon Lam and BB Ostella Adam of Boom by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb, currently performing at KLPac till the 26th of February! Listen in as we discuss the play, the end of the world, science and everything in between.

  • Episode 17: It's 2012! We Should've Done This Two Months Ago!

    20/02/2012 Duración: 01h24min

Ladies and gents, we've FINALLY got the first podcast of 2012 recorded and uploaded! And to kick off the year the usual WAMMcast suspects Khairil M Bahar and Amelia Chen are joined with fellow WAMM-ians Michael Chen (CEO) and Justin Wong (The Man With The Tech) and look back at 2011, the year it was. We totally should've posted this on the first week of January but all involved were insanely busy. But, like they always say, better late than never, ladies and sirs. Enjoy!

  • Episode 16 part 2 - Gavin Yap, Susan Lankester & Khairil M Bahar

    05/01/2012 Duración: 01h01min

And now part 2 of our WAMMcast double whammy, where Gavin Yap, Susan Lankester and Khairil M Bahar continue talking about Relationship Status as well as how one gets into this industry, their careers and a lot more with Michael Chen guest hosting with Amelia Chen. Enjoy! And remember, Relationship Status is out in selected TGV Cinemas NOW! Check out http://relationshipstatusmovie.tumblr.com to find out more details.

  • Episode 16 - part 1: Gavin Yap, Susan Lankester & Khairil M Bahar

    31/12/2011 Duración: 46min

This week we have an episode so huge that we had to split it in two (partly because Logic Express can't export an audio file that renders more than 2GB in full resolution, grrr)! This two-parter episode features two members of the cast of 'Relationship Status' - Gavin Yap, Susan Lankester (who you've heard before on episode 7) - together with the director of the flick, Khairil M. Bahar! And yes, that's the same Khai that usually hosts the show with Amelia Chen which is why we also have a guest host, Mr. CEO of WAMM himself (who appeared in the last episode), Mr. Michael Chen!

  • Episode 15: Michael Chen, CEO

    23/12/2011 Duración: 01h19min

It's a new site, it's a new year, and what better way to usher it all in than with an interview with the man who started this site in the first place - ladies and gentlemen, Mr. CEO himself, Michael Chen!

  • Episode 14: Playground Productions

    12/12/2011 Duración: 01h11min

Today we talk to the Ashraf Zain and Megat Shahrizal of Playground Productions - the folks that brought you Disko Baldi and Playground! at the Tapis Rouge Comedy Night - and discuss their work, their influences and wax lyrical about the nature of comedy.

  • Episode 13: James Lee

    03/12/2011 Duración: 01h20min

He's directed arthouse indie flicks, he's done mainstream horror and comedies and his latest film, Petaling Street Warriors, is out now - Ladies and gentleman, Mr. James Lee! A wonderfully frank and insightful interview, this episode is a must for all you budding filmmakers out there.
