Le Catalyste resumes with Manda Hu (@sublimephase) for episode #124. This Israelian DJ was raised with European Techno, UK Jungle and Chicago/Detroit house music. DJing in underground parties in his hometown of Beer Sheba and Israel's big city Tel Aviv. He started his own Techno label "Night and the City" in 2014 and ran it until 2018. During that period he collaborated with artists such as Robert Armani, K. Alexi Shelby, Brendon Moeller, Affie Yusuf and others.He released on the famous Techno imprint Labrynth and on Irregular Synth's label Dirty Minds. Kim Cosmik started as DJ Kosmik for festival sound systems Spiral Tribe and Bedlam, playing at festivals and clubs all over Europe. She is currently a resident at Threads Radio, Techno Club, The Dodo Club, Xolo and her own event Hybrid which she launched in 2019 and she is leading her own label Cybersoul on Bandcamp. The Standalone Series welcomes this week a seasoned DJ, Urko, (@urko-aka-redrum) also formerly known as REDRUM. This Lille resident was active on the local techno scene for a long time and toured Belgian clubs in the early 2ks, eventually residing in the renowned "The Kiosk" in Lille. With HI-tech Procedure and his friend Eric Fetcher, they also organized a lot of gigs. After a few years of hiatus, this historian of the northern scene returns to the decks through @moicflo and Les Charades Electroniques, and now on the web-radio ECUnderground where he manages the podcast "Drink My Soul" in the company of your host and Fik. Very eclectic, he re-explores all styles: electronica, sci-fi techno or the rougher sounds of Birmingham. DJ et productrice dont le son se situe surtout dans l'univers techno bien industrielle, elle s'est pliée pour nous à un exercice de style, fouillant dans ses influences musicales de ces 20 dernières années. This week, we have received a 2h IDM and electronica set from Ingo Zobel. This computer freak recently released music on the labels Touched Music, Touched Electronix, Furthur Electronix, Mighty Force, Moatun7, Intellitronic Bubble, Neotantra, Neo Ouija, Fantasy Enhancing as well as DIN and Carpe Sonum. He started Djing in the late eighties. Between 1996 and 1998 he organised underground parties with some close friends, were he played IDM, Braindance, Electro, Breakbeat, Acid House and Techno. In 1997 he founded the band "Drøn" with his friends Christoph Abert and Frederik Dahlke, which is his main music project since then, and is all about electronica and ambient. He also releases solo under the name Self Oscillate. He is also a vinyl addict and like to discuss a lot of his music taste and new releases, and this set shares some of his findings! Enjoy! This week is a live IDM session provided by French Artist ARCO5 (@arco5). As many of IDM/electronica Artists, he was really active and touring a lot in the early 2K's, through various IDM/electronica/experimental events.
